They had both topsoil and sod and they did deliver. I stopped by the nursery to check out and place the order. Do to rain it took a little longer to get but they did finally deliver both. It was not there fault it rained and unfortunately they can not deliver the first when it is raining or they would be delivering mud. There customer service was great and the person who took the order was very friendly and knowledgable. I would highly recommend Sestili Nursery for all your sod and topsoil needs. The also had a great selection of plants and scrubs. I will definitely keep there phone # in my contacts for all future nursery needs.

That said, I ran an errand for my wife to return a plant that did not make it to a year and would be covered under their warranty. My mother-in-law is a master Gardener and my wife is an ecologist who knows what she is talking about. But during my visit they had to get sign-off by two different people - one who confirmed what we already knew, one who apparently said "we didn't give it a fighting chance." Mind you, I'm hearing this all secondhand from an employee who was saying this to a cashier (and making sure I could hear her). It was a $45 plant, and the warranty was up in a week... And everything else we planted last year from them survived. They just need to do a little bit better here.

Buy 5 yards of mulch and/or mushroom manure and they deliver for free. They do not seem to sell "Bonnie", which in my opinion is great since Bonnie is everywhere and some of their practices are controversial. Their mulch is premium mulch, though it does seem to have its share of duckgrass. One year we used it, and we got sorghum growing in the yard. We bought a number of roses from them. Many of the "drift" brand varieties have done well. Some of the Ingrid Bergman roses got Rose rosette disease. It's not clear if they came from here or from another location, though, so I am not 100% sure, but I'm pretty sure I got it from here, but maybe not :shrug: It's a horrible disease. This year, we got some swiss chard to transplant and it was infested with leafborers, which also infected my beets. Now that I know what it looks like I'll actively avoid it. I have heard it can happen when the seasons are cold/wet spring and then hot early, which we had this year. In the end it is a business and they are in business because they sell you things. You really shouldn't transplant squash, melon, cucumber, but they do sell them for transplanting. It's better to stick to seeds with these and sow starting end of May to July. The place is cleared out of vegetables (and other annuals) by mid June. They could have a second round but I guess they want to keep that simple. Perhaps the number of customers doesn't allow it.

Simple questions that I can probably find online, but I wanted some personal service. I wasn't told there would be a pallet deposit fee when I ordered so I had to drive them back an hour to get my money back. When we returned the pallets, they weren't helpful in getting it out of then vehicle.

The outdoor selection of flowers absolutely took my breath away - so vibrant and healthy looking. I was impressed by the variety they offer. They don't just have flowers though - their selection of trees and shrubs is extensive and all looked well-cared for. Inside the market is where the real magic happens. I have now tried their apple, muscadine, blueberry, and cherry ciders (obviously had to!) Each one has the perfect balance of sweet and tart. Also Apple Tea which is a new fave! What really sets this place apart is the staff. Everyone I encountered each visit was genuinely friendly and knowledgeable about their products. They took time to answer my questions about plant care without making me feel rushed. It feels good supporting a local small business, especially one that puts such care into their products and customer service.
