Wolves do not like warm weather so do not visit when its warm. Today it was a chilly fall day. We were there an hour or so before they opened. I'd heard best to be in the first group to visit and we found it made a huge difference. We got to spend a good amount of time with several wolves. The volunteers were informative and we felt very safe. Recommend bringing spare shoes as we stepped in some ... poo. We both really enjoyed our visit and highly recommend it. They give discounts for military both active and vets, fire or medical professionals. We arrived way early so only car there for at least a half hour and the wolves all started howling and making puppy sounds. It was just the coolest moment. I will never forget. I am short so had trouble seeing any wolves because of the tall fence. But it was just magical.

Amazing experience from start to finish! Got to see probably 20+ wolves and interact with about 9…read moreof them in 3 separate enclosures. A few tips: 1. Wear stuff you are willing to get dirty 2. Just bring spare shoes and bags to put your old ones in for the drive home (trust me) 3. Go ahead and leave chapsticks, perfumes and any unnecessary items locked in your car. 4. Get here when they open and be one of the first 2 groups for the interactive experience

Last week the whole family was in town, so naturally we had to check out the zoo. I was blown away!…read moreI have only ever been to one other zoo before so this was a really great experience. \ The greenery and nature along all of the paths and in the enclosures for the animals were breathtaking. Everything was so fresh and green. The zoo was super easy to navigate and walkable, exactly what you need. We stopped for some food at the food trucks and I got a burger and fries. I was pleasantly surprised at how good the burger was. It was thick and juicy with a really good cheese sauce. I don't know how it took me four years to finally go here!

What a great zoo! In addition to being a zoo, it is an official botanical gardens, so the grounds…read morethemself are gorgeous. We were there in early April, so all the gorgeous spring flowers (daffodils, tulips, hyacinth) were in full bloom. The parking lot is close to the entrance and I like that there is shade for your car. (note it is $10 to park). You enter the zoo by going up an elevator or escalator. It is the same as the Pittsburgh Zoo entrance. One thing to note is that the zoo is hilly. No matter what direction you go, you will have some up and down hills. It is easy to navigate, though. The day we visited, we were very fortunate that almost every animal was out and active! The giraffes were wandering in their yard, the lion was chatty and playful, the zebras were enjoying their enrichment, the hippos were swimming and playing. I don't know that I've ever been to a zoo where so many animals were all active and visible! The signage was plentiful and easy to navigate and everything was well kept and clean. There were plenty of spaces to sit and relax and most animals had plenty of space to enjoy. A wonderful visit to a beautiful place.

Aimed at single-digits ages, and Kid K felt a little old I think. She found stuff to do, but a quieter day with not so many little kids would have been more fun for her. Still, she did some of the science things, and we went to the indoor zoo- very cool, very cute, very clean. They had a few scheduled special activities during the day but we missed them. There were a lot of staff around helping and keeping an eye on things, which is always good. Multiple discounts, so check for those. Prices are reasonable even without them. Parking was packed on a busy day, but we found a spot. It's in a big park so no other crowded places nearby. A great draw for the area.

Lots of spaces to wander thru, lots of eye catching displays to keep you entertained and elevate use of your brain. The waterway is one of may favorite parts of the museum and glad it's still up and running 20+ years later. We actually went to watch the Mesmerica 360 show in the dome theater. That was rather mundane to me but that's not the fault of the museum. My biggest peeve of the visit was seeing the us flag was still being masted when it is in tatters. I posted in my 'check in' and I will post again here in my review that it's time to retire this flag and replace with a fresh replacement. Whomever is in charge of the grounds here should be embarrassed. Please do better.

Take care with the wee ones - lots of walking and family friendly events. Neat experience...Would we return? All in all - in a few years.
