Even though I received way too many confirmation phone calls leading up to my scheduled trip, they arrived even a few minutes ahead, which turned out to be ok, since I had slightly underestimated my check-in time needed and turned up at the wrong building for my procedure. All good, because the driver, David, stayed at the drop off (as requested, since there was some confusion for me from the hospital about whether he needed to actually come in with me--and he was prepared to do so) and shuttled me to the correct building and, when my recovery time went VERY long, had sent repeated messages to me asking for updated pick up time, which let me know that someone was paying attention and waiting for me. Under the circumstances, very nice. After pick up call to the service, I received updates on their arrival so the hospital nurse could time wheeling me back out for transport. The only downside is that, for the distance, it is of a pricey trip. But, when needs must it is very nice to know that the service is available and, as their name says, both safe and reliable. David was genuinely personable and good conversation along the way and seemed absolutely on top of things and concerned with my well-being and service. read more

WOW!!!! I have to rely on medical non-emergency 'post-op' transportation more often than my insurance allotment allows! (lol). I gave up on All the available options! All had the same issues....Arrived Late, Arrived 30+ minutes early, yapping on the phone "on speaker" the whole way, dirty old vehicles and my favorite.....The cars/vans all STINK of wet ashtrays and cigarettes smoke. But today's ride (I had no involvement in booking) Blew Me Away and Blew all the others out of the water! Lovely newer, spacious, clean, fresh smelling car...PLUS a beautiful in (both spirit and appearance) amazing Driver 'Wayne'. Is the a 1/2 star? Scan Health Insurance was supposed to have arranged a medical transport from Huntington Beach to Hoag Hospital, then another Med Transport back again from Hoag to HB . The 2nd driver came from this company and was OVER one hour late to pick me up after repeated phone calls and it was not a medical transport .Friends, THiS is what the inside looked like. It's one thing to be of modest income, but it's pretty disgusting to approach your work and clients and disrespectful with this business model and work ethic. I don't care what the owner has to say about this. Maybe Scan wasn't specific and they sent Uber Health or whatever . But this ain't healthy There's absolutely no excuse- I couldn't care less about one . Tomorrow, I'm calling my Scan Health Insurance. To be fair, "Your Mileage May Vary". Cheers. read more

The drivers that were assigned to take my mom to her medical appointment were punctual, professional, and friendly. The vehicles were clean, and the wheelchair lift functioned perfectly. We've had an extremely disappointing experience with Safe and Reliable Medical Transportation. My husband was left waiting for two hour after his medical appointment. The driver is supposed to wait until the appointment is done, but instead is dispatched elsewhere. The drivers have all been very nice it's the company's organization I question. Why they don't send another driver is beyond me. To make matters worse, the dispatcher is unprofessional, talks over me when I call, and is very difficult to understand, which only adds to the frustration. Plus I hear children in the background screaming. This level of service is unacceptable, especially for people relying on transportation for medical care. I cannot recommend this company to anyone who values timeliness, communication, or basic dependability. read more

Horrible experience! Do not use this company if you care about your elderly family members. I was told that I did not have to schedule pick up, that all I would need to do is call once I was ready for my 87 year old dad to be picked up after his appointment and they would be there between 20-30 minutes. We waited for an hour and a half and the driver showed up at the wrong building. Mind you they had the address already from when we were dropped off. The driver was annoyed that he had to move the vehicle to the correct location. He did not apologize or greet us one he was at the correct address. The service states they will text us once they are on their way to pick us up, this did not happen at all. I made 3 phone calls for pick up and all three times I was given first 40-50 min, then 25 minutes then 10. DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE! They are getting insurance money for a job they are performing inadequately. read more

This company has been nothing but amazing! We took advantage of my husband's SCAN plan benefit for transporting him to his many medical appointments over the past two months. What a lifesaver! When he became more dependent on his wheelchair, especially after his surgery, and I couldn't get him safely into my vehicle anymore from the house (we have so many steps!), we discovered Safe and Reliable and we have been so very happy with this service. Jonas is our guy, so kind and so helpful, always going above and beyond to make sure hubby and I both got to his therapy appointments and doctors visits safely. Texts and phone calls from the dispatcher kept us up to date so we knew exactly what to expect. Unfortunately we have run out of our designated quota of rides through SCAN, hoping we can find a service that even begins to compare with the efficiency and service we received from our drivers Jonas and "Superman" and all the dispatchers. We've been using SNR for several months now to get my 90 year old mother in a wheelchair to and from twice weekly physical therapy appointments, and for other medical appointments as needed. One of us rides along with her to each appointment. The vans are clean and in good condition. The drivers are professional and typically on time. The dispatchers are courteous and check in via phone call a couple hours before each appointment to confirm the ride. Receipts are promptly sent to my email. DO NOT USE THIS TRANSPORTATION! My mom's Blue Shield transportation contracted Safe and Relaible transport to pick her up for a doctor appointment. They were supposed to pick her up at 1pm for a 2pm appointment, approximately 25 minutes away. They called 10 minutes after 1pm and said they would be there at 1:25pm. It was cutting it close, but she would still make it on time. They never showed up. We tried to call Blue Shield so they could patch us through, and they disconnected the call. I finally had to resort to calling an Uber for her to get to my appointment. I ended up getting off of work early to meet my mom at her appointment, and she ended up getting there 30 minutes late. Luckily after waiting a while, her dr saw her. When I called Safe and Reliable after to see what happened, the lady I talked to, Kat, said that the driver called that they were running late, and when they showed up at 1:45pm, nobody answered the door. That was a complete lie. My mom was waiting on the sidewalk from 1pm to 2:05pm, and the transport never showed. DO NOT trust these people to transport your loved ones. read more

My husband had to have foot surgery and no weight bearing for 3 months. On the day of his release I knew I couldn't handle getting him into our home alone. I called and they answered right away and said they could be there in 45 min. I knew that it would take us longer so he just told me to call when ready. When we finally thought we were ready I called and he headed our way. Of course there was something we had to wait for but he waited while everything was resolved! He got my husband loaded into the van with great care and drove us home. He was so helpful getting him in the house and moving our car out of the driveway to make it easier.
