Secondly, you probably already know that almost all of these facilities suck and are many flavors of sketchy. NOT this place. The Orchards gives off a whole different and positive vibe from the start when you walk in the main entrance. Everything is clean, actually clean, even the patient bathrooms, closets, behind the doors, everywhere is clean. The ratio of staff to patients is SO MUCH better than other facilities my family member has been too. I believe there's maximum 50 patients. The bedrooms are next level. They have 4-5 options ranging from a shared room with two people, to completely private with your own bathroom and living room/lounge area, obviously at a higher price point. But even the shared bedrooms are awesome as they have a closet/cabinet that divides the room, not just a sheet. Makes it so much better to have that division. ***Most importantly the Rehab staff is AMAZING!!!*** The amount of effort and thought they put into the individuals rehabilitation program is far greater than any other facility we have been to. They aren't trying to milk the process and allow people to just sit doing non productive activities just so they can bill for it. They're constantly assessing and evolving the game plan as they go. 10/10 best team of therapists. hands down. bar none. The staff communicates extremely clearly and reach out if they have pertinent info in regards to my family members health, progress, and well being. Which is something I've never experienced, usually I have to track people down and it's like pulling teeth to get answers or info. The food is good, and comparably to other places it's the best menu I've seen. Don't get me wrong it's not gourmet living but they have solid options. When you see a plate of food, it actually looks a cooked meal, not school lunch slop. They also have off menu items like sandwiches and what not if your family member is a picky eater. If you got this far in my Mega novel of a review then you obviously are deep in the process and looking for answers. Again, sending you all my good energy and if you can get your family member into The Orchards, don't hesitate and end up in another depressing SH**hole, pull the trigger and give your family member the best chance at success. Every single staff member was wonderful and truly went above and beyond. Sara K, Elizabeth (Liz), and Dee were exceptional--compassionate, attentive, and always making sure my mom felt cared for and supported. Heather, Fiona, and Lisa were equally amazing in PT and OT; their expertise, encouragement, and dedication played a huge role in her recovery. Our only regret is that we can't return on a private-pay basis to continue PT/OT, because my mom left stronger than when she arrived. This despite an ongoing plumbing problem that has plagued the facility for the past several days. The room was nicely cleaned prior to move in, with a new refrigerator and microwave put into operation, and tested. The move itself went smoothly and the tv/wifi service seems to be working satisfactorily. Food quality and service is reported as adequate, but nothing more. Finding a reasonably priced retirement home isn't easy in 2025. As an example, Freedom Village requires a cash outlay of over one hundred thousand dollars and monthly fees exceeding three thousand dollars for a tiny studio apartment. Meridian requires no huge upfront cost. In the case of my friend's mother, an 850:square foot one bedroom apartment with a view is under $4500:per month. Transportation to nearby shops is available, a hair salon is on the premises, and exercise classes are available. So far, no complaints.

Once my mom moved in she had the best care! The caregivers were so loving and attentive. Each day I visited they had a complete report about her night. She wasn't there very long as she was on Hospice. I truly appreciated the care. When it was time to have my dad placed in a board and care, we immediately contacted Bobby who quickly found a place for him. Unfortunately he never made it to live at the home. We had some bad experiences at other places where my father in law lived, so we know that Bobby's homes are superior. I would recommend Bobby and his amazing caregivers if you are looking for loving care for your loved one.

As a loving family would do, they were devoted to our mother, accompanied us to medical appointments, came to know Mom's wants and needs, made her laugh and gave her comfort. I is is critical to research a care home and visit it multiple times to truly see how they operate. A residential care home is only as good as the owners and I can confidently say that Renee and Josh are first class! Both owners are highly involved in all aspects of their home. I saw the owner Josh assisting with one of his residents care. I never see owners that involved with the residents. That speaks volumes to their level of involvement! Renee has many years of experience and is a second generation owner of a board and care. She is also an active volunteer with Alzheimer's OC and facilitates their support groups. She knows her stuff! The home is clean, beautiful decorated and 100% in compliance with State regulations. The backyard is large and relaxing. It is not common to see a home with that large and purposefully landscaped backyard. The three times I visited I observed their residents enjoying lunch, exercise, or activities in the relaxing backyard. I appreciate how well the residents were groomed and dressed. It is obvious that Chapters RCFE preserves the dignity of their residents. I STRONGLY RECOMMEND CHAPTERS RCFE! After visiting you will know what I am talking about. He needed a lot of extra care and they were so kind about helping him and reducing our stress. My grandmother is still there and likes it. The food is wonderful and there is something different every day, though there are non-rotating options like burgers, grilled chicken, and eggs. There are many activities and events, too. Also, the residents are all lovely. Shelly is the person to go to for tours! She's knowledgeable, kind, and passionate. Parking is not great there, admittedly, but the level of care you get is certainly worth it.

We had hidden cameras and proceeded to watch at least 6 employees steal from our loved one's room the night she passed away. The director did nothing but say he was embarrassed none of the employees were fired . There was a lot of concerning behavior going on and we caught it all on tape.
