The vehicles panels were welded improperly, areas like floor pans were left crumpled up, corrosion protective coating was not applied in some areas, major structural body members were installed crooked, and the paint was terrible. The insurance company decided to deem the vehicle a complete loss because it would take a lot of cash to fix all the mistakes. The part that makes me very mad is how the staff at Gerber kept trying to convince my wife and I that the twisted up mess that they created was acceptable. Do not trust these people. Dealerships are horrendous when it comes to charging for replacements, but thankfully there are several companies that will also do this at a lower rate. I've called around and BAG is always the lowest price. This is my 5th windshield done there, and when it comes to the finished product at a fantastic price, they can't be beat. Domestic products reap the best savings at a hundred dollar over the small companies vs hundreds compared to the dealer. Imports on the other hand will save you tens of dollars at the most. Unfortunately, this local company is a one man (sometimes plus helper or wife) operation. Running on barebones translated to unreturned phone calls, inconsistent service hours and backlogged appointments. Translation: if you are penny pinching and can deal with the hassle, this is the place to save you money. If you rather pay a little extra for reliability and no hassle (especially if you don't drive a domestic vehicle), this is not your place.
