The most incompetent bunch of people I've ever dealt with at a business. The girl at the front desk is completely useless. I had to call FOUR separate times and explain to them what their own notes meant because apparently no one there knew what was going on. They even called me twice to ask ME what was going on because apparently no one can effectively do their jobs and note accounts or follow through with anything. They messed up my windshield not once, not twice, but FIVE TIMES. And after all of that, they still couldn't finish the job and now want to send me to the dealership to fix what they couldn't get right. At this point, I've wasted enough time, money, and patience dealing with this place. Do yourself a favor and save your money, time, and sanity--go literally anywhere else. So, Safelite is responding to my review left for them by excusing them pulling a complete no show for my appointment to replace my windshield. As if there is an excuse that warrants them just not showing up. Their reply to my review is as insensitive and rude as was them deciding to just not show up. I will repeat, for everyone who takes the time to read this; they didn't show up, they did not apologize, they did not return my phone call and they didn't even attempt to reschedule the appointment! When I called to inquire why they would do this and that it was unacceptable, the shop was going to call the tech who evidently has a bewitching hour that he will not work beyond; and they were to call me back and advise: Crickets! So, I went to Apple Auto Glass and it was humorous. They told me that they hope Safelite never goes out of business as they were the best referral that Apple Auto gets. Apple took care of my windshield, did it when they said they would and even gave me a discount b/c of the trouble Safelite caused me.... Read that again, Apple Auto gave me a discount b/c Safelite gave me such a bad experience. Make sure to check Apple Auto out and if you do choose Safelite, good luck! I would leave zero stars if possible! This is the second windshield I have had replaced with Safelite on 3201 Rosedale (Richmond VA). If you select the early morning drop off just be aware they will not start on your replacement until the end of the day, so despite dropping my car off at 8AM my car was not ready until almost 6 pm, and I ended up having to wait after work for them to finish. I have had this happen both times, so it WILL NOT DO YOU ANY GOOD TO GIVE THEM MORE TIME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I will not be using them anymore because of this experience that has happened both times. Time is money, and they are wasting mine! read more

Pretty much left me hung out to dry! I've got a 2020 KIA Telluride that has high miles, so we put a small lift kit on it and larger tires! But because of this, they refused to install a new windshield, stating liability issues! Saying they couldn't calibrate the cameras! KIA said if Safelite would install it, KIA would do the calibration and they still refused! So now I'm stuck waiting for KIA to order one and then install it! Thank you KIA and SCREW YOU safelite!! The work they do is amazing. We've had windshields repaired in our driveway and entire windows replaced in the shop in Forest Virginia. I like how they try to clean all your windows while waiting for the resin to set up. Just don't pay up front in cash and expect a receipt. They aren't used to handling cash like a 1970's auto shop. read more

I had an appt at Forest Road Safelite on April 9 to replace the rear window in my truck. The installation was done well, no problems, happy with that. However there were 2 issues: 1. I paid to have new premium wiper blades installed, and I asked for the old wiper blades back. The new blades were not installed, and the old ones are still on my truck. I asked for a refund and have yet to see that. 2. There was a lot of broken glass inside the cab as well as in the bed of the truck. I would have appreciated it if the tech had cleaned that up before I took the truck. It seems to me that the wipers and broken glass were both forgotten. Had to get my windshield replaced due to a large crack from one side to the other at the bottom of my windshield. My insurance wouldn't cover it because it was classified as a comprehensive claim and I, unfortunately, don't have that. This place has the absolute best price around and the customer service is BY FAR THE BEST in any shop I've ever went to. I can't even begin to tell you how extremely happy I am with these guys! They are very nice, genuine, and they keep you informed every step of the way. They explain the process and let you know how it's going. I had an amazing experience at Safelite. I would have come back to Safelite solely because of their respectful and professional behavior. It was an excellent business interaction and I would have recommended it regardless. However, there is more to my review and interaction than the high quality of their behavior and service. Joe was incredibly respectful and polite. I'm a young woman and I have a "baby face" so whenever I take care of my car people usually try to pull a fast one on me one way or another. Joe and Safelite in general was not like that at all, he was very kind and listened and didn't discredit me based on my age or gender (which is honestly a pretty big deal). The events that led me to Safelite were rather extenuating. I was sitting in my car when my driver door window and my rear windshield were smashed in with a hammer, the person was very determined to get the gun. About four hours later, my boyfriend/fiancé died via the same gun in question. I needed to fix my car, obviously, so I made an appointment with Safelite and showed up and before I had explained the whole story about how the damage occurred I had a perfectly respectable experience. So, I explained what happened, but you can't really say, "Oh, someone bashed my windows in with a hammer," without people having questions, so I explained my story and the gentlemen there were incredibly kind. They completely emptied out my backseat for me (which was full of random stuff and clothes) and vacuumed my entire car for me. Joe was able to give me a discount off my total which was amazing as I don't have an expendable income. All of their compassion and generosity aside, I would have recommended Safelite, but the genuine generosity of this business and these people was so incredible. I had a previous incident the resulted in a crack in my windshield. Joe had asked if I was planning on having that fixed as well and I explained that eventually when I found the money I would, he said he would talk to his bosses and see if he could help me out. He called me a few days later saying that he had pulled a few strings and could help me, I figured he was able to give me a discount of sorts. I asked him the estimate and his response was, "....free?" I was so dumbstruck. He said that what I did was an act of humanity and while nobody can be repaid for it he wanted to help me. With everything that was going on (this was within seven days of my boyfriend/fiancé passing) I was so overwhelmed and this was so generous of them I did't know how to react at first. I honestly cried with gratitude and appreciation. Neither Joe nor his bosses had any obligation whatsoever to help me with my windshield and they had nothing to gain from it either. It was truly an act of compassion and generosity. I am so grateful to Joe and to Safelite. Joe, his team, and Safelite as a whole went above and beyond repeatedly.
