I paid over 1200 dollars to have my windshield replace. The technician damaged my rearview mirror while calibrating the windshield. They assured me that they would replace the mirror or fix it as soon as the parts arrived in their shop. They gave me a price and then when it came time for my appointment, the price went from $400-$1200 dollars. I knew that my car didn't need a recalibration but they still was trying to charge me for one. Excellent customer care! I had my windshield replaced by this business over a year ago, and they did a solid job. (I did not leave a Yelp review at that time). Fast forward to last week, when I discovered my rearview mirror was dangling inside its weird little case. All I had with me was blue painters tape and Velcro strips handy, so you can imagine what a great temporary job I did. When I drove over to their shop Wednesday, they looked me up and reattached my mirror with no issues or discussion. I might have been there 20 minutes - tops. After multiple phone calls to this facility I was assured by several personnel that they could replace and recalibrate my 2023 Subaru Outback. I was given an appt 9 days out. I changed two personal appointments to make this appointment. I arrived 45 minutes early as I had to drive 24 miles one way and instructed to come 15 mins early. I was informed after waiting 40 mins they could not do a 3-point recalibration on my vehicle...REALLY! It was apparent one installer knew this and no one else did. We had to have a windshield replace in a 2020 Dodge Journey when a rock flew from no-where & cracked our windshield on the interstate. Granted it was a small crack at first but it was spreading. We called Safelite & they were amazing from start to finish. Jaison, our tech, came to the house & he was amazing, very friendly, & informative. I've had 7 windshields installed between my 2 vehicles in the last 4 years and I've used Safelite every time. The convenience just can't be beat. They've come to my house each time and installed my windshields. It sure beats taking my vehicles somewhere and having to wait for the process to be completed. First, the Safelite rep convinced me to use this location for my windshield replacement as they could "do everything in one location" including the camera recalibration. That wasn't true. After setting my appointment, I immediately got an email saying the part might not be available in time for my appointment. I understand that. When they called me to confirm the appointment a few days later, I asked about the part - whether it would be in - just to double-check. Then they told me they made a mistake calling, and that it wasn't in yet, and we'd reschedule for the following week. I called the following week, and they told me appointment had been scheduled already - for a time I couldn't do it. I rescheduled the appointment with them at the point. I also found out then that they couldn't do the calibration - which was the whole reason I chose this location to begin with. I'd have to bring the car to the dealer myself. I spoke with a manager there who told me he would pass along all of the pertinent info to the dealer. I scheduled the appointment with the dealer myself. I arrived at the dealer today for the calibration, and they had zero information on my claim. It took fifteen minutes to get someone at Safelite on the phone there. They told me the dealer could invoice them or I could be reimbursed. I chose the former, and I provided all the necessary information to the dealer and left since it would take several hours. The car is there now, and I just got another call from the dealer saying that Safelite is requiring that I pay it up front and will be reimbursed. So, let's recap - 1. They lied about the calibration being able to be done at the Safelite location. 2. They were wrong about the part being in during the initial call. If I wouldn't have asked, I would have shown up, and they wouldn't have had it. 3. They were wrong about passing the info along to the dealer. 4. After one of their own reps told me they'd pay the dealer directly, they are now asking me to pay up front. The ONLY reason I am giving them a "fair" rating is that the service to replace the windshield itself happened quickly, and it seems to be a good job. read more

Scheduled an appointment waited all day. Received a text that the appointment was scheduled, received an email and when I checked on the status they said they were coming between 12 and 5 PM. At 5:o'clock I called Safelite they contacted the facility that was sending a tech and the work order was never sent out for work. So what was a chip to be fixed turned into a cracked windshield because it rained and snowed and water got in the crack, froze and expanded. I am so dissatisfied and disappointed with their poor, lies straight to my face services. I spoked to an agent over the phone and put all the specs of my car. They quoted me and ran through my insurance and it was approved. My insurance is zero deductible. its All set to bring my car in their shop located near me which 10333 corporate dr. Gulfport MS. The same day the lady in front desk says double check if they get approved by OEM on their insurance. Then she said I have to come back Wednesday as the windshield they ordered was not fit for my car model. They scheduled me back in two days. That day they replaced the windshield with cheap second party and not OEM as I requested from the beginning. Then when I sign the receipts I ask the same lady in front desk is that OEM installed in my car? She said lies straight to my face yes! Then I said why it's cheap?! then she said yes sir it is OEM. Now here's the real story because I'm Asian and this white lady from South MS looked at me like I'm idiot dont know shit what is OEM! So I didn't argue over the counter. Went home and scanned the code of the windshield they installed. Then says not OEM or the same brand of my car. The worst part is they destroyed the rain sensor of my car. They said just raine sensor but that sensor connected to my auto ligth sensor, my blind side mirror that compromised my safety. these lady from the shop called me and she has the nerve to Say okay okay now what you want me to do?? wow lied to my face and now she's mad because I want OEM and they can fix my sensor. a week later they have the OEM but they never fixed my sensor as my technician says we have to order and it will take 3-4days before we get an original sensor from the same manufacturer of your car. now I'm driving everything manual, I have to turn on my light at night and turn it off when I parked my car very convenient after all poor service. I know the damaged is done I don't know if they will fix my raine sensor of just part of poor costumer service from safelite In general. I just want to warn to car owners who's their cars has raine sensor drive assist and all windshield features do not use safelite their technicians are not well trained and they use cheap replacement. Just be careful next time maybe my experience are the very bad one because as I said I'm Asian and these America Asian hates crime is real. read more

I had as good of service as one could have for a windshield replacement. First, they checked with my insurance company and got approval for the windshield replacement then they ordered it and set up a time for me to have the work done. It also was going to need a recalibration of the safety cameras which they said would be done at the time as the replacement. I showed up for my appointment and they did the work including the recalibration while I waited in their very nice waiting area. They finished in less time then expected and I could not be more pleased with the friendliness and courtesy they showed toward me. Hats off to Safelite for a job well done. read more

Had appt to replace 98 Saturn windshield. wo-01826-932778 Got there and was told the new glass was accidently broken. Another appt that afternoon. Waited 3 hours that afternoon for the work to be done. Drove away and noticed radio didn't work. They forgot to reinstall antenna. Few days later noticed windshield wipers and windshield sprayers didn't work, during a thunderstorm. I checked next day and found the narrow vent strip between hood and windshield had been removed to install windshield. Windshield washer solution hose was not reattached. Wipers were reinstalled after windshield was installed, only wiper nuts were hand-tightened and wouldn't move when turned on. 3 of the 7 vent strip screws were reinstalled. Pretty pathetic. Had couple other windshields replaced this year at Safelite with no problem. read more
