After years of using Safelite (4 new windshields this year alone) , I would never again recommend safelite to a friend, after the way they treated us on our two installations bids a month or so ago. I got complete itemized bids on both of them, so there would be no questions, I have copies of those. I could make no contact with anybody (REAL) except for the technician, who told me he couldn't show me an itemized bill before billing my credit card, but to trust him and I will get that in my email later. We had two windshields replaced on the same day. A 1995 Toyota and a 2013 Jeep Compass. After receiving the credit card charges and receipts in the email, both of charges he made were at least $50 higher on each of them, a total of almost $100, I have tried to contact someone real but I've been unable, I got an email back from them two to three weeks ago saying that a regional Manager would contact me about this, but never has. They have my cell phone number which is 620-###_####. My only recourse now is to contact the credit card company and get them to pull back the charges after show them the bids that they gave me and the overcharges they made on my credit card. I asked them , Please contact me ASAP about this matter. The service was performed out of the Joplin Missouri location. My address is 126 Highway, Asbury Missouri, 64832, where the two installations were performed. Writing for my dad as he is up in age and doesn't do technology well. Went there on 12/20 to get a windshield fixed and they said 4 hours so (my dad) was like sure. Said they were having issues so they wanted to test drive. My dad was waiting an extra 40 mins when us as a family were supposed to be going on a vacation before Christmas, end up the person who "test drove" came back with personal errands done. They went to to the gas station and got lunch in our car with our gas. HIGHLY DONT RECOMMEND. They don't give back gas for what they use. Will not be going back. If I could give them a 0 star, I would. We took our 2019 Toyota to the Joplin, MO location on Wednesday for a new windshield and new windshield wipers, which was recommended by them. Yesterday (Thursday), it was raining and the driver side wipers did not work and the wind coming thru the windshield was so bad that it vibrates the dash of the vehicle. We immediately called and it took over an hour to get ahold of a live person who was a technician and was very rude. He said they were busy and would not even look at for almost 2 weeks. We contacted the corporate office and spoke to someone who was going to call us back first thing this morning. That did not happen. We will be getting our windshield replaced somewhere else and also contacting the credit card company to refuse the charge. I will deliver their windshield back to them. My insurance company made an appointment with them to repair my windshield. My appointment was going to be a week out. They were to arrive between 8 and 12. They called 11:40 and said they weren't going to be on time. I had other appointments that had to be moved. Very poor service. I could have had it fixed anywhere else the same day. I had bought a used truck that had multiple cracks in windshield. Got on line with Safelite & filled out form for quote / windshield replacement. Was easyer than I thought. Safelite came out to we're I work and installed in parking lot with the proper space around vehicle. Finished product looks awesome. No leaks no drips no worries. I had to have my windshield replaced recently and my insurance company led me to Safelite. I was pleased that Safelite was able to send a mobile unit to replace my windshield within about 36 hours (I don't have a particularly new or common vehicle). The technician arrived at my home on time and took less than two hours to install the excellent new windshield. Great product, great service! read more

At first I phoned, but a recording answered and told me I could schedule an appointment online. So I scheduled an appointment online for a repair. The site said Safelite would coordinate with insurance and I provided my insurance details for that purpose. In less than 30 minutes I received a call informing me I must call a number to verify my insurance coverage. I did that. Within 20 minutes, Isaac arrived. Isaac wears earbuds connected to his iPod and he does not remove them. Isaac finds a crack I wasn't aware of, which means I need a replacement. Isaac tells me he can't replace it today, but I can schedule for another day. He doesn't know what days are available. He tells me I can call and schedule for another day. I can also figure out if I have a deductible. He "has to get paid." He's very clear with me on this point. Isaac packs up and leaves. Earbuds still in. I called Safelite to let them know I would not do future business with them based on interaction with Isaac. They said OK. They did not ask why. Voting with my dollars. And voting elsewhere. Polite, engaging people are available at other companies offering this same service. I have an appointment with them day after tomorrow. I shared this experience with my insurance company. But Safelite was already NOT on their approved vendor list. Lesson learned. App forces one star for posting. read more
