Update the Killeen store seems like they are putting me off keep saying that they are still waiting for the OE back window to come it it's been over a week and a total of three weeks since original install and I side note when I told them about privacy their response was they musts have change tint specs after I did research on it and several phone calls to Chevrolet then referred me to GM and I got clarification on it that no spec have been changed on windows I been very calm and understanding but it's getting to the point is do I want them to fix it because starting to worry if they will do a professional repair or just slap it on read more

3rd visit to repair same window. Rear panels inside vehicle not installed properly with broken clips and scratches all over. Went to Toyota dealer to get new clips and fixed scratches with a heat gun. I do not want to deal with this shop. Vehicle paint scratches all around the window area. Shop manager did not do anything to buffer out any of this. Will go to body shop for an estimate and repair it on my own. Will go to court to retrieve my expense. read more

3 appointments rescheduled without any communication. They called to confirm the appointment 2 days before the first appointment but after nobody showed up to the 3rd, I called to find out what the deal was and the manager claimed to not have seen the appointment in their system. Then I see online that I owe $65 more even though I already paid in full. I cancelled and I will get it done somewhere else. read more

very very poor, refused warranty service after the molding of the windshield flew away while driving. I have never seen molding coming off from a windshield even if it is 20 years old and mine came off after 3 years. Safelite promises lifetime warranty on their job, and the warranty work was refused with an excuse of normal wear and tear. read more

So safelite has worked on my vehicles three separate times the first one was great no issues you could barely see the chip that was repaired. That was about 4 years ago. More recently, I had to have an entire windshield replaced because of the size of the crack and now you can hear the wind once I get on the highway. Today, they worked on a small chip and they did a horrible job; please see enclosed pictures. It's was a very small chip as you can see by the size of a key tip. Previous work was this small and barely visible when complete. You can still feel the crack and whatever they filled it is coming off so an insurance adjuster is going to come out to evaluate their work. Luckily, my deductible may be waived if I have to and get the entire windshield replaced. I do not recommend this location, I feel that they're not doing the work properly the first time, causing it to need a full replacement because a chip can't be filled twice. I recommend going to a different place that is going to get it done right the first time to alleviate any issues with insurance companies for subsequent visits due to poor work. read more

Easy to make an appointment online. Needed a chip repair after a rock hit the windshield. Had an appointment for 2 pm and arrived at 12:30 and waited just 20 minutes. Staff were friendly and welcoming. Chip repair fills up the hole so it doesn't continue to crack. Much easier and less expensive than a new windshield. read more

Set appointment 8-12 arrives at 11 and install windshield finish 1300. The proceed to tell me they cannot finish due to his computer cannot work on 2025 vehicle so here it is 1630 and finally someone showed up to complete the job. So 2-3 hour job almost 6+ hours. What a horrible place to have any glass replaced. USAA never use Safelite in Killeen Texas. Straight up they are unprofessional and stupid. read more

We used Safelite in the past through our insurance provider, and scheduled an appointment for an out-of-pocket windshield replacement after receiving an acceptable online quote. The appointment got canceled via voicemail without explanation. When my husband called to inquire, he was told they don't work on older cars. When he filled me in, I had questions: *Did they not want to do the work? *Could they at least perform a chip fill? *Why didn't the website disclaim or prevent us from booking the appointment if they don't work on older vehicles? *What's the cut-off vehicle age? *If they can't do the job, do they have recommendations? In calling, I received the same answer of, "We just don't work on older cars." I asked about the chip fill since that had been performed on this vehicle before and received a bit of sass that our appointment was for a windshield replacement. I inquired again, If they can't do the replacement, can they at least schedule us for the chip fill? More sass was conveyed with phrases like "I don't know what you want me to do; it's corporate policy." Getting nowhere, I ended the call. It took a Google search for how to contact Safelite customer service (because it wasn't obvious on their website) and an email before an agent called us with an answer. This customer service agent had never heard what we were told before either and sympathized with our confusion. After researching, she learned despite their previous service on our vehicle, due to its current age, neither the repairs nor replacement could be guaranteed or protected by their warranty. THIS was an answer and what should have been initially communicated instead of "we just don't" and "it's corporate policy." We found another company with the state's largest auto glass selection that came to us and performed the windshield replacement for a fraction of the cost Safelite quoted us. P.S. 2022 pilot SE. June 2024, during hail storm cracked front windshield. Safelite in Killeen said they can replace windshield. Wife took vehicle in. Next day or 2 later. Ready for pickup. Wife brings it home but said something wrong with her dash. Come to find out, no cruise control. No lane departure warning, no collision sensor. All these lights flashing on the dash, non-stop. Shop said they will order another one and will replace it when its available now may 2025 and still nothing. These people lack integrity, experience, and honesty. Go elsewhere. I will report this to the insurance soon. Blacklist these people from my insurance. I will have to talk to the insurance first before going to another shop that's properly equipped and experienced in this business, duee to the fact Safelite already put in an inferior POS and now I have NO safety features. Good thing Texas no longer has safety inspection, otherwise I'd like to see if it would've pass the inspection and how they would have handle the situation. Bottom line, if you have a vehicle 1-3 yrs old, I'd be very caution with this shop. So far, I am not impressed and this is and was my first time using them. Really don't think I'm going back here again if I can help it. read more

Twice I have attempted to use this location to have the windshield in my Tesla model 3 replaced once after hitting a buzzard second after a deer. This location took months to get the parts in then refused to do the work claiming that car had been in a accident and just about every other excuse in the book wasting my time and giving me the runaround. If you don't want to do the work say it up front don't make excuses. Tesla dealer took care of it both times no questions asked Safelite at this location is useless. read more

After waiting 2 hours I called and was told the Windshield didn't come in. I was told this for a whole week. I went to the Shop myself and made them check and the Windshield was there all the time. I made an appointment online to replace my windshield as I had more than 3 visible chips on my windshield. I went in prior to my appointment and discussed that I wasn't sure if I should have just placed it to fix the chips or as the replacement. They said they would go the cheapest route for me but would have someone look at it to make sure before they got started. The technician went outside and inspected every single chip and informed me that I was good to go - all chips were filled properly, and nothing had to be done. They canceled the appointment, and I went on my way. No out of pocket expenses incurred. They were extremely polite, took the time to explain the reason why I would think they needed to be replaced, and how he knew the repairs were done properly. Anyone else would have gladly taken the money and replaced the windshield unnecessarily. Definitely a place to go for their honesty and customer service. read more

Completely false advertising. We submitted a quote online along with a photo of the damage to our truck window. The price quoted was $400 including a slew of BS disposal fees and extras. When they called to confirm our appointment today they said they ordered the wrong part and even though our quote clearly says $400, it would be $700. It's not our fault they're illiterate and ordered the wrong part, I'm not paying more for their screw up. They had no apologies for wasting our time or their complete incompetence. I had taken my pickup to them for an out of pocket windshield replacement and had no issues only a few weeks before. So when my wife's minivan got vandalized and passenger side front and back door windows were cracked we took it to them for replacement under insurance. Big mistake! After getting the vehicle back we found they'd messed up both repairs. 1) front window won't roll up without getting to the top and automatically rolling back down. The safety sensor is triggering for some reason (either their use of non OEM parts, or they set the glass too high) 2) The back door window switch now won't roll the window down. Neither issue was present prior to taking it to them as we had rolled up and down both windows prior. We called them the following day and they scheduled a repeat visit not the following day, not quickly, but 2 weeks later! After keeping vehicle all day, their claim is they can't fix either problem and maybe the impact messed up the sensor (remember it was working fine prior to them touching it) and lied and said the back door switch was broken when they got it! Their only recommendation is to now take it to the dealership to see if they can fix these issues, and hope the insurance covers it. Do not take any moving glass issues to this business b/c they're incompetent OR non-moving glass if you want a company that will stand behind its work! read more

Stopped by to setup getting my windshield replaced. They quoted me a higher price than the website did, but that was whatever. I just wanted the windshield replaced. I was then told nope, they won't do it because of the cars age. It's a 1998 and they won't touch anything older than a 2000. They didn't even look at it to see the condition or they would have seen it was garage kept and doesn't even have faded paint. The website didn't say anything about not wanting your business if you weren't able to spend money on a newer car. They mentioned the chance at breaking plastic parts or cowls. I said I totally understand and wouldn't hold that against them and even offered to take all those parts off myself. Nope. They did however offer for me to drive over an hour to another shop, but they didn't have the number to call them. I then tried to call the next closest shop (over an hour away) to ask them and it just takes me to the automated 800 number where I can't ask them if they're willing to do it, but you can't actually get a person or find a way to contact the shop, so I guess I'm expected to drive and waste gas for an almost 3 hour round trip on a maybe because they're too cheap to pay someone to pick up the phone? I went in with a tiny chip in my windshield and was quoted $65 with a wait time of about twenty minutes. No biggie. About fifteen to twenty minutes had past and the technician comes back to me with my keys only to tell me he cracked my windshield even worse than it was and that I had to pay for a brand new windshield costing almost $300 and they were not responsible for the crack they caused. Which, yes they make you sign a waiver stating this but I'm pretty sure he applied too much pressure to the windshield in the first place causing it to crack. I'm LIVID and will never be back. Honestly don't even bother with this company. August 3rd will mark the 8th week since I first contacted Safelite to repair my windshield. First it was a tiny crack that expanded quickly into about a foot in a couple of days. I called and tried to get the soonest appointment to available for an OEM windshield replacement, which took 2 weeks. Fair, they have to order the part. Time comes, I'm waiting an hour and a half after dropping my car off and then I get a call saying that the replacement windshield was all scratched up and that they didn't want to put it on. When I asked why the brand new windshield that was ordered was already scratched up they tell me that it wasn't, it was an aftermarket one they had sitting around. So I schedule another appointment. That one was cancelled for no reason (I assume they didn't order the part again and tried to sweep it under the rug). I set up an appointment online to a different store only to find out on the day of service that they keep neglecting to order the part. I called ahead of time to make sure the part was ordered, which the phone representative confirmed it was, only to be told that half a week later. The front desk lady at the Columbia store said she would personally handle it. So I wait ANOTHER 2 weeks. When the appointment came around, I check my email and lo and behold, the appointment was rescheduled. Trying to call and get a hold of someone at this company is near impossible. I keep holding out hope that they will be decent human beings and get my part ordered and fix my windshield (which now goes almost all the way across the entirety of the glass and its starting to curve back around). About to just cut my losses and go to another company. read more

These people have no idea what they are doing. They put in an aftermarket glass without telling you until your car's computer system doesn't work the way it is supposed to and you end up going from Honda to safelite back and forth because they dont know what they are talking about. Ive also come here before and they were supposed to fix my windshield but broke my back windshield (which they werent supposed to touch) and then left the glass in my backseat. Dont go here... it just makes you frustrated. read more

Drove to my scheduled appointment from 90 minutes away. Took time off work. They told me, oops, the windshield we ordered is messed up. You have to reschedule. I asked i i can schedule an appointment the day after the windshield comes in so they have time to make sure the windshield is not messed up and they said nope, we will only get your windshield in the same day as your appt. I asked the be scheduled in the evening so they had time to check it and Brooke with the front desk rolled her eyes and was abrupt. I came back again for my new appointment and they tell me that i have a code on my car that involves one of my cameras and they cant work ok my car. I asked for the manager. Miguel Ortiz came to the front and talked with me in front of Brooke. Brooke was staring at me, rolling her eyes, scoffing, smiling, shaking her head, etc. I asked that she be made to leave if she couldnt be professional while i explained my frustrations of their first mistake of not checking thw glass before my appointment and then not disclosing that certain codes wont allow them to work on vehicles. He let her stay and she continued to be unprofessional. He finally told her to take a break and she walked away saying, thank god and good luck. Again, unprofessional. I asked for hus manager and he said i could email him but thats it. I emailed and waited for a response as well as called the client car complaints. I spoke with barbara who said that they all work from home and cant call any of the managers so she emailed them and i would just have to wait. False advertising... Came in for a "Scheduled Appt" as clearly stated in my confirmation text and was told this was not an appt but a Drop off; after I had clearly confirmed with the person who sched my appt that it would take no longer than 2hrs to replace my rear windshield; (I had used this company in the past without any issues or Misunderstandings, however that was at another Location) all this after we drive 1hrs from Austin because we were told that this was the only location with sooner availability. Turns out it was NOT AN APPOINTMENT but a "Drop Off". And Manager David Wacker, instead of doing his job and attempt to help, he offered to pull the call to see if I was telling the truth about the appt vs drop Off: And of course at this point Im irritated and raising my voice and he also raises his voice at me at yell for me to get out and stares he will cancel my APPOINTMENT!!! Terrible service from Becky, she lied to me numerous times, was rude and blamed me for them putting an OEM windshield replacement that wouldn't calibrate. Rescheduled my appointment for 2 more weeks then after I called to confirm my appointment Becky confirmed it, So I asked. Can you confirm the windshield came in? She said we don't do that. All windshields come in the day of the appointment meaning that morning. I told her the manager told my Allstate insurance that if the windshield came in early they would get me in early. She said they're lying. We would never say that. Followed up with manager after about five phone calls and found out he did say that, also after bugging them all day they finally found out that my windshield did not come in and would be on the truck tomorrow, when I told Becky the manager found out it wasn't coming in and cancelled my appointment, she had the nerve to say " he didn't find out I did but OK". I told her you told me 3 different times earlier today there is no way to find out until the morning of my appointment, she is a flat out lier! The people here were nice but a day after having it installed I realized the glass is chipped on both sides of front windshield. Pretty mad that now I have to go back and wait for another again!!! Why they would put in chipped one is beyond me. Then trying to reach a live person is impossible. I do not live close to this location, making it even more of inconvenience. People who do not have LIVE people at customer service, usually do not receive my business. I am not even able to reach a live person at the Killeen location. I have had to go thru chat and they were told how I upset I was that they would put a faulty windshield in. You would think if they cared about their customer a phone call would have been made to me. My car windshield cracked after a metal object flew off of the car in front of me. I immediately called my insurance company and scheduled an appointment with Safelite AutoGlass to have it replaced. The team at Safelite were excellent and provided me with prompt, courteous, and professional service. I could not be happier about the level of customer service I received. Unfortunately, the same cannot be said about the representative who answers the phone when I dialed the customer care number. The person who answered the call was not helpful and pretended to call the location where my car was, when he really did not. He provided me with erroneous information and came across as if he was completely unconcerned in helping me resolve my issue. Customers should be provided with the phone number to the exact location where their vehicle is and not have to go through a service center. read more

Safelite is the "preferred provider" for windshield replacement on my Geico policy. However, their nearest center is 29 miles away & it appears they do NOT come to you as advertised on TV, because there isn't a way to reach anyone by telephone. The Killeen phone number is answered by a machine. Your only options are to schedule an appointment online or go to the Safelite website which provides another opportunity to schedule an appointment online. Since there isn't anyway to check if your windshield is in stock, that could be an issue. My windshield requires calibration of safety features which apparently can't be addressed until you arrive for your scheduled appointment, the earliest of which was 4 business days later. After 2 hours of frustration, my insurance company arranged for another local company to replace & calibrate my windshield in a single visit within 2 days. I intend to report this company/office to the BBB for deceptive advertising practices. read more
