Went to Odessa yesterday to talk to them about the damage. Received a call enroute from the Receptionist to bring the vehicle in and they would access the damage and make repairs. Got to the office they met me in the parking lot and checked the vehicle right away and made repairs to broken clips and realigned the windshield wiper position. Took me about 30 minutes. I am satisfied. Seems like if I could have contacted the folks at this shop by phone I could have avoided all the headaches. Recommend that the phone numbers for the shops locally be made easily available instead of calling all over the nation trying to speak to a human. I'm through now. Thanks for listening. read more

My daughter and I were driving down Andrews Hwy. Suddenly something flew out of a truck and hit my windshield and broke my windshield on the top left of my windshield. Scared us to death but Thank God we were alright, Just a little shook up. I called Safelight and scheduled my appointment. The guy came by as scheduled explained everything to me I needed to know. I did not realized that my insurance had a $500.00 deductible for my windshield but that was ok because the guy did a fabulous job. Replaced my windshield and I also wanted new windshield wipers. My windshield looks great and new windshield wipers were great. I wish I could remember the guy's name because he was so nice and pleasant. It sure is nice to meet a very nice and sincere person. I had front windshield replaced on my F150 which has a sound screen. They advised they had until I arrived for appointment. Then I was advised no it was a after market windshield but the same. Wrong. It doesn't have the light factory tint and is totally clear. I work in oilfield so I get chips & cracks 2-3 times per year driving these roads. This is my second windshield that safelite installed. I had to sit at home all day waiting for the technician to arrive. That new windshield got a rock chip which caused the windshield to break completely. I contacted safelite about warranty's, and they told me they don't cover breaks like that. My insurance requires me to pay $545.00 for the deductible. It's been expensive. Then the guy shows up and tells me what it will cost. I told him to replace the windshield. I go back inside and he tells me he forgot the tool to replace the windshield? I called and canceled the appointment it was already 4:30. Then I call customer service and explain what happened and the lady put me on hold. This is not a great business model. read more

My fleet services provider had me schedule an appointment on June 1, 2020 for this afternoon (June 15, 2020) @ 3:00pm to replace the windshield on my 2019 Subaru Outback. The appointment was confirmed by Safelite. I drove to Safelite in Odessa from Midland and arrived promptly at 3. I was told by the representative that they received my windshield Friday 06/11/2020 but returned it to their warehouse on the same day. What? They did not have the courtesy to give me a call to reschedule or notify of their mistake. Simply allowed me to drive to the appointment and find out that they did not want my business. They did allow me to make another appointment in 2 weeks to have the same opportunity. What a joke!!!!! This is not the 1st time this has happened to me with Safelite. We had the windshield replaced on our 2013 Toyota Tacoma. Joseph, the technician, performed one of the worst and most time consuming repairs of any type I ever seen. The VIN plate on the vehicle was bent and pushed out of place, both windshield wipers were loose, and the passenger side wiper no longer worked, there was sealant all around the window both on the painted body and interior of the vehicle, there were bulges and bubbles in the window trim, and the window itself was not fully sealed. The repair was so bad in fact that we went with having another business repair it instead of letting Safelite near our vehicle again. And naturally, there was no refund on the part of Safelite, even though we allowed them to take the windshield they installed after West Texas Windshields removed it. Mike, the manager, is rude, unhelpful, and full of meaningless excuses, and Joseph, the technician, shouldn't be allowed near his own vehicle, much less anyone else's. However, West Texas Windshields does excellent work, and they were able to completely repair to 100% satisfaction everything Safelite nearly ruined. The tech did a great job fixing the rock chip in my suv and noticed there was a chip in the other 2 vehicles we had in the driveway, he told us to go schedule a service and he would take care of them for us too while he was there. Sadly, this provider is experiencing growing pains. I tried to schedule an appointment this afternoon. After over 45 minutes on the phone, I had to disconnect. The person trying to schedule my appointment repeatedly asked the same questions over and over. I was put on hold and asked the same questions again & again. She did tell me that she was new (don't share that--I don't care). I called after I received an email from Safelite & was told the software was stupid & they had a lot of new people.
