Was told 3 times by safelite call center that I had OEM glass approved by my insurance. On the day of my appointment I received a call from Andres who stated I was not approved for it. Their headquarters was looking into it. Was advised safelite made a mistake 3 times and they would coach the agents. No offer for a discount or paid glass. Only a "nothing I can do" from Devonte at home office. DO NOT do business with Safelite and for sure the safelite in Pensacola. Horrible business and horrible customer service. Will file a complaint with BBB as well. I will do all I can to spread the word about this very bad business. read more

This was my first time using safelite fill out information and I struggled just a little bit but it got better and my appointment for Thursday to get my windshield glass at my house they said it was gonna be from 8 AM to 12 PM. Said the tech would be here between 12-5pm I'm thinking it would be reasonably in between. The tech called me at 3:47pm and stated " He's gonna head this way in about 45 minutes", it's now 4:41pm and there's no sign or notifcation of him. Prior to this I was briefed that it would take an additional 35-45 minutes for the adhesive to set but scrolling further into their site the recommend you wait an Hour to 2 hours after to start driving. This is terrible service. If it wasn't free I would leave it how it was. UPDATE: I rescheduled it, no worries the only problem I personally had was waiting between 12-5pm Now that my initial anger has subsided I'm looking forward to getting it replaced this coming weekend. read more

Had a rock chip, took the car in to get the windshield replaced after confirming they had the correct windshield in stock. They took out the windshield and then discovered they don't actually have the replacement in stock nor anywhere in the country at the moment so during the process of putting the old windshield back in they spider webbed the entire windshield and said the car was ready to go. When we went to pick up the car they never said anything about the bust went in to speak to manager he said he would be back after lunch within 30minutes, waited 1hr never shows back up. They said good luck finding a windshield might check with dealer. 30years old and my first review I have ever left. Just don't use them they are a complete mess. Had them replace a windshield at my home. Noticed chip marks all across driver side. Contacted them immediately and they sent tech out again next day. He took pictures and said supervisor would contact me the next day. Well a week went by. Progressive followed up with Safelite with me on the phone. Safelite corporate contacted shop and Left message with dispatch to have supervisor contact me as he was in a meeting. Another week has passed. No one has contacted me. Will call Progressive again. I have been waiting for OEM replacement windshield for 6 months. Not only they can't actually come to your location to do this but even dropping off is very challenging. First time I tried to drop off day before - literally the door was locked by 4.30. Waited to reschedule for months. I recommend contacting someone's crazy drunk uncle to replace your windshield before this bunch of D-Class junkies. They broke my review mirror, broke the review mirror clamp, tried (unsuccessfully) to glue it all back together, had to reschedule in order to fix all their screw-ups, and THEN STILL replaced my windshield with a "reconditioned" poor condition windshield AND STILL managed to get glue all over my dashboard, windshield, and review mirror. To make matters worse, THEY SCRATCHED MY "NEW" WINDSHILED. I called my insurance company and they are scheduling with a REAL auto glass professional. #SafeliteSucks read more

The service was arranged by my insurance company. Everything went well with the appointment setting, timely arrival by the tech and repair itself. I went out and asked if there was anything I needed to sign and was told no, it had all been sent to my email. I made a comment and said, "Great! Guess I'll make my bank trip now." It wasn't until I returned to the office that I saw the email that said I should wait a period of time before driving. This would have been useful information to TELL ME since we were having a conversation and I commented about hopping in the car and driving it. I made an appointment for home installation. The tech came to my house and told me he could not do it because I had a camera so it had to be done in the shop. Annoying but he made me an appointment to have it done in shop. I drove an hour to get there where they rudely told me they cancelled my appointment because they don't have the part. The women at the desk are extremely rude and could care less about the customers. I will NEVER use Safelite again. Absolutely no customer service. Two wasted days too many already. After scheduling an appointment in advance to have my window replaced, and after several e.mails and phone calls from Safelite to confirm my appointment. I get a call about an hour before my appointment letting me know they have to cancel because they didn't have enough employees. Honestly to not only cancel an appointment literally last minute, but also because your employees didn't show up, is a level of unprofessionalism I cannot even comprehend. I don't know if the employees are treated badly or paid poorly, but clearly something is wrong because this company can't even motivate them enough to show up. They asked to reschedule, but I didn't want to see how much more of my time they could waste so I called a competitor and now have a appointment elsewhere. read more

The best experience I had at the Pensacola location was taking my car somewhere else (Lloyd's Glass). I booked the appt almost 2 weeks ahead of time due to being out of town. Scheduled to drop-off on a Friday between 7:30-9:30am. Due to car trouble we ran late, however, we called and asked if it was okay. The lady stated as long as we were there by 10am it would be fine. We were there by 9:45a and dropped off the key. Around 3:30pm that day I had a missed call from Safelite (was at work, unable to answer). They did not leave a voicemail. They were closed when I was able to make a callback, but I assumed they were just informing that my car was ready. Arrived the next morning to see the tech holding the key to my car. I let him know I was there to pick it up. HIs responses were rude and with attitude. He claimed he had no idea what why the key was there, that it wasn't dropped off until the end of the prior day, the car wasn't ready and they don't allow a grace period for late drop-offs. He said the next earliest would be on Wednesday and I could leave the car. For whatever reason he cancelled my pre-payment. While I was standing there waiting for the time of my appt Wednesday, he said (with attitude), "This is going to take awhile, you can leave now". Wednesday comes and they call. My car won't start (same issue I had Friday when I dropped it off). They are cancelling my appt once more. No openings to reschedule for a few days. The lady at the desk when I picked it up was very polite, unlike the tech from Saturday. I called Lloyd's, they booked me for that day, I dropped off my car. Told them about the issue with my car (shifter was getting stuck just b4 park, had to push it up a bit further). The had me show them in case it happened so they could continue to fix my windshield. They had it done by the end of the day, they (Lloyd's) were VERY polite, understanding and helpful. They (Lloyd's are getting a GREAT review. read more

This business is poorly managed. You can order a windshield and a week later they will tell you on the day of installation that the windshield did not come in. That would of been good to know sooner and not at the time the technician was supposed to be there. This happened twice...another excuse was the window was delivered with a break already. Again this would have been good to know sooner than at the moment the tech is supposed to show up.....I would think that the technician or someone in the shop would know what came in and what shape it is in...But Not at this Place. read more

As far as scheduling & communication, Safelite was awesome! However, there was one issue that was major to me. Customer Service and/or the technician failed to mention my existing items from my broken windshield, which included my SunPass decal! Our family actually left the next morning to go to Orlando so it was an inconvenience to have to go through the "regular" toll line for several reasons. Anyone who has been knows that there is no shortage of tolls while traveling in the Orlando area. While the SunPass lane moves quickly & is typically vacant, the lines for change were longer & we had to wait. Also, you had to ensure that you had the cash to pay the toll. In addition, even my oil change reminder, which is merely a window cling, was removed. I will have to contact the mechanic to attempt to verify when I am due for my next oil change. While I understand that the SunPass isn't transferable to the new windshield, I don't see any reason for not moving the window cling for my oil change, which is easily transferrable. The moral of the story is that it would have been nice to have a "friendly reminder" from Customer Service or the technician to remove and/or replace any items that were on the windshield being replaced by Safelite! read more

I wouldn't even give them a star based on customer service. The location in Pensacola, fl had us wait one hour to tell us they didn't have our glass. The receptionist went on the be very rude and blamed that she's the only one there to do everything. Poor poor customer service and you yelled at a firefighter because you had no compassion on making a man wait an hour to be told he can't be helped and to drive 1 hour home. Had a cracked windshield they came out to fix it. All seemed fine... didn't drive vehicle for first 5 days after install (at home on vacation did go anywhere). First day I went to drive it noted condensation and water running down the INSIDE of my windshield (and daily after this).. then, literally 2 weeks after install I noticed another crack in windshield! it looked to be coming from the seal. Called my insurance they connected me with Safelite. They came out and there was a "teeny "chip" UNDERNEATH the windshield wiper and they said it wasn't under warranty because something "hit" it. Really? UNDER my windshield wiper? Tech was rude and wouldn't even listen to me about the water and condensation on the inside he just kept repeating it wouldn't be under warranty. OF course wanted me to file insurance again, No thanks cant afford a raise in insurance. Went thru multiple calls and got no where. BBB no where. They sent another tech out. Same answer. No ONE will listen to me about the condensation and their faulty work and that the "chip" was done during install, IMO. they have the worst customer service. I would NOT recommend them unless you want to chance having to deal with unprofessional people who won't listen if problems arise. read more

However... The waiting room is pretty unwelcoming, and not kid friendly at all. (There is not a baby changing table or anything like that in the unisex bathroom either) Also, the chairs in the waiting room are very dirty. -3 stars here (They need to clean or replace the chairs pretty badly) My windshield replacement was fully covered by my insurance. Two techs came out to change the auto glass in my 1996 Ford F250, glass was damaged and leaking. There was residue on the glass where the previous owners obviously tried to seal or glue the leak. The techs said initially the job might take a little longer because of difficulty removing the old glass, no mention of anything else. 10 minutes later, they knock on my door and now they say they can't replace it because of the age of the vehicle and that there "might" be rust on the edge underneath when the old windshield comes off. There is no rust on the edge of the chrome trim around it, but there "might" be some under it. So I am required to take it to a body shop first to get them to say there is no rust before they will try to replace the glass. This appointment I stayed home for was a waste of my time and I am not going to pay extra for a body shop to look and say no rust. That's ridiculous. read more
