Scheduled an appointment for a windshield replacement and I show up and they tell me after 30 minutes that the windshield is damaged so I had to reschedule. I come the 2nd time around and I'm waiting in the lobby for over 90 minutes and then they proceed to tell me that the new windshield they got is also damaged and made me reschedule a 3rd time. I don't understand why they couldn't check these windshields when they arrive the morning of. I was probably lied to about these windshields being damaged as they were after market windshields and It was explained to me by the next company I went with that you have to use a windshield directly from the manufacturer due to specific calibrations that have to be done. Absolutely unprofessional from these guys. Showed up for the 3rd appointment an hour late and they denied me and tried to reschedule me a 4th time! Half the reason I was late was because the lady at the front desk had promised to call me to confirm that the windshield was good and ready to go the morning of so I didn't show up and have my time wasted again! I never received a call. An hour before I called and could never get a hold of the office. I was redirected to a customer support line and they reached out to the main office for me. They couldn't even get a hold of them. Absolutely unprofessional. read more

I'm very impressed with my experience with Safelite auto glass. I had just recently bought a new-to-me vehicle and within the first week my windshield cracked- while cleaning it at a QT gas station (in 92° weather).. Within 3 days Safelite came to the rescue AT MY JOB-SITE and replaced my windshield at an unbeatable price. They said it would take 2 hours but the employee was done within 40 minutes. I was able to drive immediately but was told to not go through a car wash for the first 24 hrs. A month later and I have no issues or concerns. I very highly recommend! You have the audacity and gall to email me for a review when your technician damaged my side door and trunk during the "repair" by haphazardly ripping out a necessary cable, THEN tell us it was our fault? And have us pay for the damages you caused? And if that wasn't bad enough, your technician did NOT wear a mask when they arrived. I would rather melt sand with a Yankee candle to make glass and install it with a spoon before I use your service again. read more

Went online to get quote for glass replacement, and then to set up appointment with local shop. When job was completed the shop charged me $100 more than the price I was quoted. After a massive hassle of back and forth conversations between corporate office and shop representatives, corporate finally agreed to a partial refund even though I was still very much dissatisfied. Will never use safelite glass repair again. read more

I had comprehensive coverage for my windshield. In SC there is no deductible. My car was in the body shop for a front end repair and I decided to get the windshield done. My insurance company Progressive worked seamlessly with Safelite. Safelite did the replacement onsite at the auto body shop. I received a phone call before the job, confirmatory e-mails after. I have never had to change my windshield and I am so glad that I chose Safelite. Moreover, I am so thankful that Tim B. was my technician; he was so incredibly helpful! When Tim was on his way to my location, he gave me a call and told me that I can click the link in my text message from Safelite to allow me to track his location. This low-key stalker-style (haha) software allowed me to stay in my warm apartment until he arrived on-site. He began working promptly. Holding a conversation with him came so natural that I told him about an issue I have been experiencing lately regarding moisture and mold in my beloved car. About an hour later I went back outside to check on Tim, and to my surprise he told me that he possibly found the location of my leak: the drain tubes leading from my sunroof to it's exit port behind my tire well. He proceeded to tell me that he used his air compressor to blow out all of the dirt, gunk and mold of those two tubes for me. WOW!!! What a great guy; Tim truly went above and beyond in an effort to help make my life a little less hectic. I now know that I can save myself a lot of confusion and money by replacing those drain tubes in the near future. I showed up on time at 11 AM, the technician came out to greet me, get my key, and started within 2 mins. He told me the windshield replacement would take approximately 1 hour. However, just 50 minutes later he pulled my car around and showed me what he did and walked me through the brochure including telling me about when I could wash my car and Safelite's lifetime workmanship warranty for as long as I own the car. I had a back window with a slider that needed to be repaired. The tech was so knowledgeable about his business he not only told me what was easy about this install but where the potential problems might arise with this type of repair. It was like clockwork. Everything he spoke of came true both good and problematic. My point is, when you truly know your craft there are no REAL problems because anything that came up he was more than prepared for.
