I have used Safelite before but hadn't gone to their Northern Blvd location until today. Christine the branch manager was welcoming. Another employee took my information and asked if I wanted to get new wipers. I declined. Several other staff were in and out of the lounge area-all very pleasant and truly seemed happy to be working there. The work was done before the expected 3 hour time. He even did a fantastic job removing my inspection & registration stickers from my broken windshield and re-sticking them onto my new one. I recently had an appointment with Safelite on a Saturday to replace my windshield. The installer or technician that came out to my home to replace my windshield refused to install my windshield due to a penny size rust spot. Basically it was his way out(excuse) not to do the job. Like I said it was a Saturday he probably didn't feel like working that day, it's a shame when safe lite preaches all these great qualities about their company but yet have the worst technicians out in the field to lazy to do their jobs. Worst experience I've ever had.So I did the next best thing, took my vehicle to Glass Dr. out in North Syracuse. Not only did they replace my windshield with no issues, they also laughed at the fact that safelite refused to replace my windshield for no sufficient reason other than the fact their tech wanted to have a early Saturday and go home and watch football, Safelite you must do better, you've lost a valuable customer in me and I'll be sure to let all my friends and family know of the horrible service I got from Safelite. My insurance company set me up with Safelite for a cracked front windshield. When I brought my vehicle into the Camillus, N.Y. location they fixed the windshield. However, they returned the vehicle to me without the front collision camera working. They stated they understood it was working before replacing the windshield but they could not fix it. The manager told me to just bring it to my dealership. I advised him they would expect money for doing work on my vehicle. He then told me to make another insurance claim. My insurance company is now handling this but not because I made another claim but rather because they are refusing to pay for damage they caused. Horrible costumer service and business. read more

If I could give them a negative score I would. Contacted them 3 weeks ago, was given a quote and thought wow this is great! Super fast and easy. Come today (3 weeks later) and my car is still sitting in my garage and the technician finally came. BUT he didn't feel "comfortable" putting in the glass. As I am scratching my head wonder why I waited 3 weeks for this so called "senior technician" to put in a glass, he could have figured this out weeks ago. They called enough to tell me that the part has been delayed but not to tell me that he didn't want to put it in. I called corporate and they put me in touch with the manager CHRIS at safelite, she stated the part was a dealer only part to go to the dealer. I called the dealer they stated safelite calls them all the time to get parts. So I contacted safelite Syracuse again, she said that because the part was expensive we would have to pay up front. So I said ok I'll pay for it now, after a pause she still refused to do the work. Even going as far as saying that none of the Syracuse shops will touch my car. Because they own both of them. So then I talked to a lady named BONNIE from corporate who was extremely nice and helped me out by finding me another shop. Safelite customer care was great, Syracuse offices horrible and Chris shouldn't hold a position that deals in customer relationships. To bad, that they couldn't keep business in house. read more

AJ their technician contacted us and said he could still come and replace the windshield if I could move the vehicle into a pole barn we have. An electric window in our car would not roll up. It was jambed inside the door and would not close. We tried to fix it ourselves by pulling off the door panel but could not locate the problem. We were concerned about possible rain and a lack of security for our possessions inside the vehicle, so we needed to get it fixed. We happened to drive by Safelite AutoGlass and decided to give them a try. The service guys found the problem and fixed it in less than 15 minutes. They gave back the car keys and said there would be no charge. Amazing. Of course, we forced them to take a nice tip. Blown away by their service. read more

It took no time at all to arrange to have my cracked windshield repaired. I made an appointment online and received a quick email and phone confirmation. The company worked with the insurance company, so all I had to do was show up at Safelite with my car. The replacement took one hour, and they vacuumed my carpets! The store reps were friendly and knowledgeable. I learned this could have been done at my home, but the crack was low and did not obstruct my view. Target, Bed, Bath & Beyond, Marshall's and many other great stores are right across the street, so I took advantage while I waited. We have uses Safelite a great deal over many years....called in because they replaced 16 months ago on one of our vehicles and I explained that the windshield seems to have diamonds going through it and was asking what causes it. She stated that it was pitted and it was defective glass and to set up warranty appointment. I asked if I should stop and make sure and have them take a look, she replied no that it needs a warranty replacement. After changing my schedule around to get it changed asap, the manager told me that it was pitted from driving too many miles. It was not covered and he has final say. He also informed me that they tell everyone it is warranty and then he advises. I asked if that was just so customer comes back in? Because of discrepancy, I called back in and was connected with different rep and he stated that she (the first rep) was new, he will advise her and retrain. After all the times using Satellite, they had deliberately mislead. read more
