I came to this Safeway when the recent King Soopers strike started. It is a full service grocery store with boxed goods, canned goods & frozen goods in the center with a large bakery area, dairy products, meat and deli. The pharmacy is on the east side. The center section has rows named for local streets. There is a separate section where home care, baby products and personal care including cosmetics. It is meant to reduce theft. This section has 2 checkout stations. You can shop elsewhere in the store then go to this section for those particular items and checkout your entire shopping cart or basket. They have a Drive Up & Go delivery service. You make selections and purchase thru their Points for U app. I noticed a special discount on the grocery shelves. They add an additional discount that you can activate when you scan the barcode using the app. In fact, I am getting more discounts than King Soopers. They also have an in-store Starbucks. Amazon has a yellow locker named "Vica". I used it several times this month. The store is very clean. read more

Manger seemed to have a little attitude today for a grown man believe it was the store manger anyways fix it my guy don't be rude

The eight piece chicken they gave me was all burnt and dried out and also all wings and one thigh....not worth the $32 order... The macaroni and cheese was dried out and not the right amount at all. I didn't receive the 1lb mashed potatoes and gravy I ordered. I've worked plenty of these jobs so I try to be reasonable and let a lot of things go, but this was beyond terrible and I really wanted to understand why. I called the department to see what happened and spoke to a young man who seemed to be in his teens claiming to be the manager. The young man said his manager said not to cook chicken for the dinner rush and gets mad at him for cooking too much chicken sometimes. He shut off door dash orders at 8PM. Something is very wrong with the deli at this Safeway. Burnt chicken,all wings when you order an 8 piece,they replace items without asking you and the manager is nowhere to be found..I tried the website for the email but they couldn't help me. The pet dog count was 2 on a Saturday morning within a 10 minute visit despite signs that pets aren't permitted. These clearly weren't service dogs as one was a puppy and the other was leashed by a peppy senior citizen that likely takes her pooch everywhere. She seemed to be a regular at this based on her interactions. This is the first time I have been at this location so I am not sure how common this is here but I suspect there is an overarching problem because of the signs posted in the entrance calling out that it is illegal to bring dogs into this establishment that aren't service dogs. These customers know better, they simply don't care about other people, health & hygiene or the law. I like dogs but they don't belong at grocery stores unless it is a bonafide service animal. I feel bad for the employees as they are put in a bad position here. For the record, these folks seemed to feel like they just wanted to bring their dogs to the grocery store, why I will never understand. Perhaps I should haul my cat in to grow this trend in the name of pet equality at the grocery store. I have never seen a legitimate service animal in a grocery cart but we have an epidemic of dogs in them all through out Denver now. The health department needs to step it up. And these selfish folks need to stop as this just makes it harder for people who need working dogs to help them through life. My grandmother was cussed at by an employee in front of many people. All my grandmother wanted was some help to find the bacon. As there is a lot of construction going on current, things are getting rotated and shifted around. But that doesn't excuse the actions of the employee saying, "she's not going to get her fucking bacon". I've have never been more disgusted in my life. Our family has been shopping there for years. Same Store, Different Name This place WAS Albertson's, but now it's Safeway. Really, the only thing that has changed is the sign out front. It's still the same store with the same stuff. I have always liked this grocery store. It's a good place to find certain things that you can't get anywhere else. For instance, they carry Strawberry Powerade Zero drinks and Brach's Milk Maid Caramels. I can't find those items anywhere else. read more

All the people saying 'same store, new lipstick' etc clearly didn't spend much time shopping at the Albertsons. Safeway has really taken things up a notch - the deli has a great selection of fresh meats for cold cuts (the pre-cooked stuff could still be enhanced), and there is now a salad bar thing with wings, olives, etc. The cheese selection is greatly improved, as are many things throughout the store. The one thing that is the same are staff, and they've always been wonderful. Friendly, and quick. This is my neighborhood store, and I always like coming here. read more

Positives + Extremely friendly staff in ALL departments + Great weekly and Just 4 You coupons (available at all locations) + Good variety of produce (well stocked, quality selections, etc.) + Good fresh meat department + Short lines at check out (ample self check out machines too) + Pharmacy on site (with flu shots available too) Negatives - Busy parking lot (nothing crazy for a super market) - Special ads/deals rush off the shelves here. Don't know what the problem is with Safeway in this town. This one is particularly bad. The parking lot is riddled with cracks and potholes. Need a cart? Better score one in the parking lot, rarely one available inside. Security guard told me they are stolen by the homeless people in the neighborhood. Even though the store is remodeled, still looks like a 90s Safeway. Moving a few racks is not a remodel. The store seems to have limited stock available. Trying to get a salad an employee gave me an audible sigh, making me feel I was in the way, even though I was like 5 feet away from him. Another annoying aspect of shopping at Safeway is their updated app. The old one worked well. This new one was designed without any ux testing. We had problems with the app and asked the cashier for help. She had no idea and went to ask a manager who too had no idea how to use it. Kudos to them for trying. After 10 minutes we'd figure out the problem and let the cashier know who was actually appreciative. Safeway, we know you can do way better. Do better! read more

I've been shopping here for years and while it's always been very pricey, it has been my go-to store because of location. The previous manager, Tom was awesome and he made sure the store carried some pride in their products and service. Now, it's gotten more expensive and the products are HORRIBLE! Bread is $7.00 a loaf and is almost always old. Produce is old (or there is nothing on the shelf) and they're still trying to pawn it off on somebody. I've used the pickup service several times and i have never gotten a complete order. NEVER! Half the time you can't substitute certain items because the online service doesn't have an appropriate substitution. Then the shoppers have zero common sense and they pick out the oldest shit on the shelves. On top of that, some of them at attitudes when bringing out your order. I'm getting sick and tired of this store and they are making a strong case for why I should shop at King Soopers. read more

I do not feel safe shopping here. I know it's nothing the employees can do, but I shouldn't feel like I have to keep my head on a swivel at all times inside and outside the store. As for the store itself, it hasn't been updated in decades and it clearly shows. Maybe with the growth of the area it will be considered for an upgrade but as of right now it's very dated and looks shabby. The selection is somewhat limited reflecting the smaller size of the store. With so many others in the area, I would recommend driving the extra 10mins if you can. read more

I've had good customer service at this store before but today I wanted to use the bathroom so I asked a cashier to open it for me. The cashier didn't say anything to me, looked annoyed, and just went and opened the men's restroom for me. As a woman, I was a little uncomfortable going in there because it has a bunch of urinals, not in stalls. I wasn't able to use it because the toilets were covered in fecal matter, it was disgusting. read more

I stopped in today to get a birthday cake for an employee -- we were in a hurry because we almost forgot his birthday. I went back to the bakery in a hurry and they helped me out so efficiently and quickly. The lady who worked in the bakery LOVED her job and she made me feel amazing, especially with her fast service in personalizing the cake. I also have lunch here often (love the hot soups), and I shopped here for our store's barbeque items just a month ago. I've hit every aisle, and it's obvious this store is well-managed. The health and beauty items have a great variety. **** Five Stars from me ... Drew yelled at my sister in law while waiting for the restroom key, then informed me that the Men's restroom is closed, because some jerk decided to smoke meth in there and even though my wife daughter and sister in law can use the ladies restroom, I can't . No I'm sorry, just no you can't use the restroom after being in the car for many hours. Great Customer Service. As supervisor for Vons. I would have made accommodations due to the situation. The new lipstick attracted me to this use to be Albertsons. What an amazing renovation Safeway made. I love the new layout and how clean the place. Employees are very nice and attentive. I give this place a five star review because it's been our go to place the past few years. I remember it when I was a kid and it was Albertsons. The staff there is not only friendly but SO helpful and always make sure you are taken care of. I have ONE qualm. Just one. I did order some things through DoorDash. Strawberries, Kiwis, frozen peaches and milk. Everything was great until I saw the berries. They looked like the one you'd pull from the shelf to donate or throw away. Every berry has crunchy dead leaves. I've had to throw a lot away from just being bad. If they weren't dried and wrinkled they were slimy. I'm hoping I didn't actually her some donation berries and people who order online aren't being taken for granted as customers. I ordered out of convenience. Not because I can't come back down there and say "hey wtf?" I still have my container. There was no receipt in the bag but I do have confirmation I ordered through DoorDash by screenshot of order and receipt. Maybe allllllll the strawberries looked this way but I find it doubtful you'd be selling full lbs of strawberries that were all bad. Thank you though for everything else. Your continuity with customer service to our community goes above and beyond. Great establishment. We have the option of this store or the one on corona and choose this one the majority of the time BECAUSE of the wonderful employees who make this place great. read more

Customer Service at the Pharmacy. ...WOW...WOW. I had an issue with incorrect vaccine information - without too many details - it was a minor error the at could cause problems down the road. I called the pharmacy and after about 5 minutes Shanice said she was not able to fix it at this time but that she would call me back when it was done. An hour later. BOOM it was fixed - she called back - verified the information again. Waited until I looked on the website and verified it was corrected there. She was not just going through the motions - she genuinely cared that the problem was fixed. I am older and clunking around webistes is sometimes hard. THANK YOU SAFEWAY. read more

Literally the rudest workers ever. I was ran over by a produce cart upon entering the woman came from behind me so I couldn't see or hear her and ran over my foot and hit my shin the the worker turned around and gave ME a dirty look. Another guy who works here had two carts blocking off a whole fully stocked section was just standing there doing inventory in the middle of the day? We got everything else we needed and he was still standing there I said "hey can I grab something?" Pretty loud and he didn't even flinch so I just had to push the cart out of the way and he scoffed at me. I ordered a few deli platters for an event last week. Leticia, the deli manager, was very helpful during the process and with fulfilling the order. My only complaint is that they need a better catering menu with prices vs. the 3 ring binder. Totally on Safeway to provide them better marketing and has nothing to do with the staff or store. Where do I begin... Lets see I had ordered groceries from their delivery service. I had ordered them Tuesday morning and choose a time for same day delivery because I happened to be off that day. I received a confirmation email with the receipt and confirming that my bank card had been charged and gave a delivery time window between 8:00 pm to 9:00 pm. So i thought ok great everything is good. Well later in the day i received a call from the driver who stated that he may not be able to deliver my order that day due to a new rule stating that he cant deliver past 10:00 pm. I had advised him that the time frame I chose for my order was before 10:00 pm. He said that he understood and would call be back. I wanted until 9:15 pm with no call back so I then call him. He then stated that he was running behind and he would be unable to make it out my way to drop off my order. And that I just needed to take it up with corp. I then contacted the corp number given of course by that time they were closed. So I contacted them at 7:00 that Wednesday morning mind you it was close to an hour wait to get a hold of anybody. And when I finally did. The lady informed me that there were no delivery times available for that day either and that i would just have to wait till later to get my order. She stated that she could give me a 15.00 credit toward my next order. Really?? I spent over 200.00 on my order and all you can do for me is give me a 15.00 credit. That is a big slap in the face and a big F you in customer service. She then said that i will receive my order that next day at 8:00 am. I received my order at almost 9:00 am and when i got the order all the meat that i had ordered was brown and looked like it was left out. All the fruit was moldy. Never again will I shop at Safeway. I have posted on Facebook as well on Twitter and warned all my coworkers, Neighbors and Friends and Family do not use this service. The Customer service is horrible. They don't deliver on their promises and time lines. And they are giving you food that could possible make you sick. read more

Don't bother trying to get delivery from here. I waited around for 4 hrs last night (Sunday); the delivery never showed. I called them during their customer service hours, but I guess everyone had decided to go home early. So I emailed them. I got a voicemail from them today (Monday) saying that there had been a "truck issue" last night (why didn't they call to let me know?) and could they deliver my groceries tomorrow (Tuesday). I called them back, waited on hold (horrific hold music) for 25 mins, and the only positive I can say is that the Customer Service Rep was more than happy to cancel my order. Just gotta watch my credit card statement to make sure that money reappears. read more

First, let me say the front line staff are great, other than that, very sad. They seem to be out of whatever they advertise, have trouble honoring store coupons (be sure to check your receipt), curbside pickup is very problematic, and the toll free "help" numbers just don't help. They will suck hours of your time if you try to get help. Or you could have them call you back, they will promise but will not do it. So many other choices, avoid this store. read more

Dirty, run down, quality not trustworthy. Don't even think of buying ice cream. For 2 years, their ice cream has all been melted and refrozen resulting in disgusting taste and texture. It is ALL their ice cream. One time I even went in and removed lids trying to find one in good condition, not one! Sometimes they have had their entire frozen section shut down and items removed. It did no good, still issues. I would never buy their frozen products. I am surprised no one has gotten ill. They also aren't good about restocking (even before the pandemic) and you can't count on them having your normal items. I have found LOTS of expired items, like yogurt etc, you really need to check the dates on their items. To be honest, I haven't found expired items in the last year, but I still don't trust the. They get 2 stars, instead of 1 because their pharmacist is great, always cheerful and he makes my day :) Unfortunately due to insurance changes, they will no longer pay for that pharmacy. But I do recommend them for that. They also have a starbucks which is slow, but friendly staff that do a good job on drinks. read more
