Very friendly staff and I found everything I need and even better some of my items were on discount!

Dried out macaroni and cheese...also it wasnt even the 1lb I ordered.....
J. N.

The eight piece chicken they gave me was all burnt and dried out and also all wings and one thigh....not worth the $32 order... The macaroni and cheese was dried out and not the right amount at all. I didn't receive the 1lb mashed potatoes and gravy I ordered. I've worked plenty of these jobs so I try to be reasonable and let a lot of things go, but this was beyond terrible and I really wanted to understand why. I called the department to see what happened and spoke to a young man who seemed to be in his teens claiming to be the manager. The young man said his manager said not to cook chicken for the dinner rush and gets mad at him for cooking too much chicken sometimes. He shut off door dash orders at 8PM. Something is very wrong with the deli at this Safeway. Burnt chicken, all wings when you order an 8 piece, they replace items without asking you and the manager is nowhere to be found..I tried the website for the email but they couldn't help me. Dinner is ruined

Somehow we forgot someone's birthday so I ran out quickly to Safeway to grab a cake before he left. They were super helpful and fast.
David P.

I stopped in today to get a birthday cake for an employee -- we were in a hurry because we almost forgot his birthday. I went back to the bakery in a hurry and they helped me out so efficiently and quickly. The lady who worked in the bakery LOVED her job and she made me feel amazing, especially with her fast service in personalizing the cake. I also have lunch here often (love the hot soups), and I shopped here for our store's barbeque items just a month ago. I've hit every aisle, and it's obvious this store is well-managed. The health and beauty items have a great variety. **** Five Stars from me ... I didn't try to return dental floss, but I've had nothing but excellent service and a clean, well-stocked store catering to a pretty upscale market, and great prices.

Not So Great Berries Delivered. No the delivery didn't take so long it killed fresh berries.

We came here for brunch on a Sunday morning, before heading to Coors Field to see an afternoon Rockies game. There are a bunch of different places to check out inside, so everyone can grab exactly what they want and still sit together. Today, I specifically visited Call Your Mother, a Jewish deli, and Izzio Bakery. Atmosphere: Since I went right around the time they opened, the atmosphere was exactly what I needed. It was super laid-back and chill, making it the perfect place to get out of the house for a calm morning. As it gets later into the day and through the weekends, I know it gets very busy, but there is plenty of random seating throughout the hall and even some outdoor spots if you prefer. Parking: Parking is going to be street parking. Make sure you read the signs, but it is usually free. Even when the market is busy, I usually don't have to walk more than a block to get inside. So it is a very convenient location for the RiNo area. Service: The customer service throughout the market is great. At Call Your Mother, the cashier was very sweet, and they even text you when your food is ready. Over at Izzio Bakery, everyone is super kind and helpful while you're looking at their amazing pastry display. Even with a line, you're usually only waiting about 10 to 12 minutes for your items. Food: The food variety here is incredible. I tried the Sun City breakfast bagel sandwich from Call Your Mother and the hot honey was the perfect balance of sweet and spice on a toasted bagel. For a sweet treat, I went to Izzio Bakery for the Dulce de Leche Queen. The pastry case there looks like something out of a movie. The pastry itself was perfectly crisp on the outside with a delicious yellow vanilla cream and cinnamon on the inside. Overall Experience: Overall, I really enjoy coming here and trying new places. It is a fantastic destination for groups or just a solo morning out. Whether you want a savory breakfast bagel sandwich or a beautiful pastry, The Denver Central Market always hits the spot. I'll definitely be back to explore more.

I am still laughing at the cashier.

I enjoy shopping for groceries and life's sustenances at a locally owned store more than anything…read more When I was driving on 38th westbound to get somewhere this AM, this store didn't escape my notice (the exterior decals on the glass window was so visible as I drove past by it.) Since I wasn't in a hurry, I made a quick turn to a side street to park my car and went to investigate. And I LOVED it. This store is in operation since 1984. People who live in this neighborhood must love it; lucky them! I have to admit though; certain things are bit pricey but what's great about this place is the fact that they do generous sales on items throughout the store. For instance, a jar of Dalmatia Quince Spread (pear flavor) was originally $6 with some change but it was on sale at the price of $3.99! I had recently run out of a fig spread so I immediately grabbed this one. There is a cafe where they can make craft coffee beverages. Not only that, there is a pizzeria, sushi section, soap/beauty section, vitamins, alcohol section etc. Although the store is not massive, it's a good size where they pretty much carry most of the daily needs (although I'm not sure about toilet paper/paper towels and stuff like that; I didn't need any of those so I simply didn't look for it.) I saw some people sitting in the cafe studying with their books and computers. There were also families with small children eating their late morning meals. It's simply a great place for any occasion was the observation I gathered. My cashier (Sean) was very pleasant to me. I forgot to bring my reusable grocery bag so he asked me if I needed a bag to which I said yes. He didn't charge me for the bag when I looked around the receipt. Thank you! I hope I'll have reasons or business up in the neighborhood soon so I can make a stop again.

My relationship with this Safeway continues to be complicated. I had sworn off going to the store…read moreearlier this summer when for the second time in a row, I was in a line about 25 people deep at 6pm on a weekday, and only one cash register was open. (One day I waited for over 40 minutes just to check out.) Admittedly, most of my friends already made it clear I was crazy for continuing to frequent this store, but I feel pretty damn strongly about supporting the only grocery store in this neighborhood, so I persisted. Nevertheless, it became clear that the Safeway corporation was not respecting these employees by appropriately staffing the store, and I decided I would stop going entirely. Fast forward a few months, and the Safeway employees went on strike. I was pretty encouraged, supported the effort, and hoped for the best. After things were resolved, I decided to give the store a shot again, and pretty quickly it became clear that staffing the registers was still not a priority. Admittedly, I really don't understand how Safeway thinks this is a profitable maneuver--in order to spend money, consumers need to be able to check out. And guess what, if you're buying more than a few items, a self-checkout is not workable. But apparently this is the corporate game. I do want to give a shoutout to the stalwart employees who have persisted despite these tribulations. I'm always happy when I see Terri at the register or Bryan at the meat counter. Employees like them make all the difference here. I just wish they had better support.

Some of the employees can be a little rough around the edges I guess, but they're always really nice to me and I see them putting up with it with a lot of BS from some pretty obnoxious customers. And I know they're putting up with a lot from Safeway corporate management as well, so in light of all that I think that the people here are great. the reason I keep coming here because it's a Safeway and they got stuff you can't get at a lot of other grocery stores. The reason a lot of people are skeptical about this store is because there are sometimes some shady characters in the parking lot. That tends to feed speculation, I have witnessed some minor and petty crimes and if that's something that's absolutely intolerable for you I guess my thinking is a man you're in the city. I have one complaint about this store, and it's probably not what you're gonna see in most of the reviews. Because of the high rate of theft they've got like a sub store inside the store. If you wanna buy any cosmetics OTC medication's anything like that you have to use this stupid sub store. There will only be one checker. There will always be somebody in line in front of you who is taking 20 minutes to check out. I have considered on more than one occasion just walking out with my groceries and going to check out at the regular check stand. Like seriously what are you gonna do? I'm not stealing, I'm still gonna pay for it. that's pretty much the only unacceptable customer service I get at this store.
