    So tasty!
    Nyah H.

Went into this location for the first time today to pick up some dog food and yogurt, I'm a big fan of the vitamin cottage/natural grocers chain and until driving by didn't realize this one was there as its much closer to my home than the one on Leetsdale. I really love the layout here its in a much larger space than most and everything feels light and airy they also what I consider to be a larger section of fresh fruits and veggies and a great selection of pet items and other great things. I peeked into the vitamin section and they are very well stocked the assistants were very friendly and super helpful I was even helped by a guy with a dog pin on his apron. Everyone was super helpful and I can't wait to make this my regular grocery place now!

Clean store and great produce. Much better produce than whole foods. Interesting local finds as well. Convenient parking

At age 66 I discovered that my mind was slowing down as much as my body. Kevin has a powder form of lions mane which I prepared as a tea. It seems to have improved my thought processes with clearer thinking. For me this is a big thing. Since having covid, I have felt like I was walking around in a fog. Lions mane teas have helped me clear out some of that mental fog. I directly attribute that to Fox Fungi's lions mane powder. Thanks Kevin for your fine product. I sincerely hope that others have the same results that I have had.

I'm definitely not a mushroom expert. When I bought these at the Dillons Farmers Market I assumed…read morethe containers sitting out for display for display only. When I went to buy them I asked if they had containers that were out of the Sun. She said no, this is what you get. The container was hot and definitely exposed to the Sun. She said it doesn't matter because they are heat extracted anyway. So I purchased them. When home, the first thing I do is Google how to store mushroom extracts. None of these recommendations were followed by Fox Fungi. The primary goal when storing extracted mushroom powders (like Reishi, Lion's Mane, or Cordyceps) is preventing moisture exposure. Because extracts are highly hygroscopic--meaning they pull water directly out of the air--moisture will turn fine powder into a hard, gummy brick in a matter of days. Essential Storage Guidelines Container: Use airtight glass jars (like Mason jars or UV-blocking amber glass). Standard plastic bags or flimsy tubs allow trace moisture and oxygen to seep through over time. Desiccant Packs: Keep a food-grade silica gel packet inside the container at all times. If your extract didn't come with one, transfer one over or buy food-grade packs. Environment: Store in a cool, dark, and dry spot (a kitchen pantry or cupboard). Keep away from heat sources like stoves or direct sunlight, which degrade beneficial bioactive compounds like beta-glucans and hericenones. Scoop Safety: Always use a completely dry utensil when scooping. Never use a damp spoon or leave the container open while brewing hot liquids, as steam entering the jar will ruin the batch.
