They are polite and helpful…read more But every time I've gone in, and I've had to interact with a manager or an assistant manager they have been rude and unhelpful. They also under staff this location consistently. Almost every time I've gone in there hasn't been enough employees to help the customers that are in the store which means long wait times. This will be my last time going to the Edgewater Ace Hardware. It's very disappointing because this is my closest Ace to my house and for the last three decades of my life, Ace has been my go to and has been extremely helpful. But each Ace Hardware is individually owned so I will be going to a different Ace from now on. Do not waste your time. Just go to a different location.

I left my cart, walked out, and went to the 7-11 down the road. This is just another place that found out what they could get away with during the pandemic. Cherry Creek Ace has become our go-to store for just about everythin - gardening supplies, propane…read morerefills, flowers, plants, and all the random home projects that pop up. We actually found them by accident last Christmas when we needed an emergency Christmas tree stand, and we've been coming back ever since. What keeps us coming back is the experience. It's not just that someone asks if you need help when you walk in. Throughout the entire time you're in the store, multiple team members check in to make sure you have what you need. You never feel like you're interrupting someone or that you're on your own. It's a level of service that's become incredibly rare. One visit really stood out. We brought in some hardware from a project because we weren't sure what screws we needed. Instead of sending us to an aisle and wishing us luck, a team member took the time to match the exact size and type we needed. We were able to head home and finish the project that same day. The best way I can describe this place is that it feels like shopping in a different era - in the best possible way. Everyone genuinely seems to care that you have a great experience and leave with the right solution. That's not something you find very often anymore. We're lucky to have them in the neighborhood.

Obviously a journeyman position until the person finds something better with more pay. Never the same person when I come in. Now, on to products and service. Came in today for a spark plug check. First thing was to check the gap, go back, start the machine. I suspected the plug was bad, but started with this. Well guess what, they sell spark plugs, but don't have a gap tool! I commented to the person every machine is different, it does not come off the assembly line correct with this. She just looked at me like I was more than crazy. Did not even offer to help me find a replacement plug. Popcorn hour for the staff? I went to the auto parts store, simple gap tool for reasonable price. If I need building or hardware, I just go to Lowes or HomeDepot. The problem is they cannot connect the dots on a project. Part of that is they don't keep good staff, and that is what I come here for, advice and direction. And, they are frequently out of needed items. Correction - what I used to come here for...

The overall culture just reeks of an "I hate you because you are white" hostility. I am a totally left-leaning liberal, but they respond to me as if I am the enemy...because I am a Caucasian American. I get this from both the employees, and other shoppers. Because I am not welcome there, and treated as if I am trespassing, I won't be spending my grocery dollars there again.

The checkout was understaffed with only one cashier for self check out and one of the regular lines. This was midday on Thursday so not the busiest time. I bought a dozen roses with a little baby's breath for $19.99. No problem. The issue I have is that most are dying less than a week after even using plant food and having sufficient water. Will try again for other food items when in the area.
