I booked a 60-minute Swedish massage online, and it was a disaster from the moment I walked in. The guy at the front desk immediately started asking what I wanted and for how long -- even though I told him I had already booked online. He didn't bother to check the computer, just rushed me into a room and slammed the door behind me. When I got in, the bed didn't even have linens on it. Just a paper-thin sheet that I had to spread out myself. I waited in that room for 20 minutes -- still no one showed up. I finally got dressed and decided to leave. The person at the front desk didn't say a single word as I walked out. As I was heading out the door, the therapist (who I assume was supposed to do my massage) came strolling in with a box of food, yelling for me to come back and saying she'd be right there. At that point, I told her I had already waited long enough and left. The whole experience was beyond unprofessional -- disorganized, unwelcoming, and just plain weird. I've only tried this place once. I think the price and setup is nice. However, they put me with a male masseuse and he applied too much pressure even though I asked him to go lighter. You can smell the cigarette smoke on him. And it wasn't able to be private since it was a male and the door was slightly open. So I was disturbed by the other staff walking by and talking. read more

Bait & switch. This place offers a 25% off discount with your yelp check in, but doesn't honor it. The lady working there offered me $60 (originally priced at $70) for an hour massage, but then she tacked on a $5 fee for using my credit card. So I paid 65 bucks. According to my calculations, if they had honored my yelp check in, it should have been $52.50. Poor business practice, and I don't appreciate places that don't honor advertised discounts. No expiration date. No reason not to. This is sneaky and unprofessional. Yeah, yeah, yeah....I could have just turned away, but the place was convenient and I really needed some work done on my back. The massage itself was decent. It's too bad I can't give a great review though, because 16 flight attendants lay over at the hotel across the street every single day. The best part was her expertly using the hot stones so they're at the right temperature so as to not burn your skin. I was staying at the Hyatt Regency next door, I called them and the nice lady that answered said she was available immediately. Nice, clean, comfy shop. Private rooms also! I was comfortable, the only thing different from any other shop I've been to from Miami, Cancun, Austin, and San Antonio was they asked for payment up front, this thru me for a loop bc I tip on how 'relaxed & happy" I feel at the end of the session.
