Once you look past the aesthetic, this provided everything you need. The staff were very welcoming and inviting. I opted for the 90-minute deep tissue massage as I had been working out like crazy and needed some muscle relief. This was one of the best things I could do for myself, it felt like the massages I got when traveling to Vietnam- no fluff just straight to the root cause of the muscle pain. This isn't the type of place you go for a spa-like, relaxing atmosphere like Post Oak or Milk + Honey. Instead, it's where you go for a truly effective deep-pressure massage. The facility was clean, and my masseuse, Jessica, was fantastic. She took the time to ask about the areas I wanted to focus on and applied just the right amount of pressure in those areas. I was amazed at how much pressure she could apply despite her small stature. She also reassured me to not hesitate to let her know if something was uncomfortable which I appreciated. One aspect I particularly appreciated was that the massage included stretches, which contributed to significant relief. It wasn't necessarily a relaxing experience, but it was incredibly therapeutic. Also if you do not like feet or are shy this may not be the place for you. They use their feet to really apply deep pressure + stretch you in all directions like a piece of dough so inevitably you aren't always covered. I will definitely be returning! read more

This is not your fancy spa massage, so if you overlook the aesthetics, everything else was fantastic. This massage place is located in a bright yellow house in a residential area where parking is entirely street parking. There is no fluff. You walk in, tell them how many minutes you want and get let into a room with a bed and rails on the ceiling. I have had several Thai massages, but this one was the most thorough. They do use their feet to walk on your back, so if you have an aversion to feet, this is not for you! The massage was a combination of pressure and stretching. She stretched me like dough in every which direction and I have never felt so limber! This is not the typical relaxation massage. You are constantly being moved around. So disappointed in this place. I scheduled a couples massage for 5 pm. When we arrived, they said they didn't have me down for a couples massage then was told they called me to move my appointment time. They called me twice, but I was at work. But they didn't leave me a voicemail to let me know, so I could have adjusted my time. Walking in, wasn't impressive. Super crowded place with paperwork, clusters of things everywhere, the stains on the carpet were ridiculous, super dirty hallway, really congested area to get massages. Definitely gave off creepy vibes. But I knew the reviews would do the massage justice at least, but NO. Going back to my appointment. They told me they had a couples room available, but it's upstairs and no ac. I didn't opt for that. We arrived at 4:51. After trying to figure out which therapist was assigned to us, the person at the front desk lady was overwhelmed. I know why now. The other lady that was a therapist asked her in their language to work on me while another therapist was arriving. And the front desk lady was borderline whining, throwing a fit with her arms in the air, and complaining in their language- that she had to massage. We finally were taken to our room at 5:09. I was told to undress and get on the table and, that she had to change her clothes. When she walked back in- 5:18, she mentioned to me she is going to start my massage and another therapist will end my massage. HIGHLY DISAPPOINTING. I was trying to blow it off and relax. She started stretching me, and per usual, I asked her name. I like to be respectful and ask their names for future reference. When I asked her name, she mentioned "oh I don't work here." And I said oh okay but what's your name? And she repeated the same thing that she was only here to drop off food for them, she has to go back to her daughter that she left, and that she didn't work there. So I'm immediately on edge because I'm getting a massage from a person that doesn't work there?????? When laying on the table, the face rest was so hard for me to rest my face. It hurt the ENTIRE time. PLEASE GET ANOTHER FACE REST CUSION. I signed up for a 90 min massage. She proceeded to stretch me from 5:20 till 5:48. Then told me the other therapist is coming in. When the other therapist walked in, introduced herself and told me she was going to start over again. She started stretching me. Like I was literally stretched this whole time and you're going to stretch me more?? The first therapist asked me what I wanted to focus on, even though I filled out the form stating what needed to be worked on. But the second one didn't. I really needed my neck worked on, the only reason I came there, and she barely worked on my neck. When she did my back, she was elbowing my vertebrae. I was in so much pain. Not sure what was worse, me having two therapist- one that didn't work there, or stretched for 50 mins, or that damn face rest. I was stretched for most of my massage. Out of 90 mins, I only got a 35 mins massage. And it wasn't the entire 90 mins either. I didn't want to make a fuss, so I paid. But be careful when you're booking with this place. My partner left unsettled too. She was in pain the day after, and so was I. read more

This place is really in the boonies it seems. Located in a house, residential neighborhood, little sketchy. Hubby and I were skeptical at first. Emma was greeted us nicely at the door. Took our temperature and set us in the room. The room was clean, comfy mattress and hands rail on the ceiling for them to walk on your back. She did an amazing job on my body, Thai massage included a Lot of stretching, as well as bend your body to some very awkward positions :) she beats the craps out of all the knots on my shoulders! And the hot stones were so effect! oh boy it feels so good afterward. My hubby had it with another lady, she was equally very good. First time getting a Thai massage. All I really know about Thai massages is that they do a lot of walking on your back and I was pretty nervous about it initially. My masseuse did a great job applying pressure. These massages are not for the weak and I felt like all of my stress points and aches were addressed. I did a couple massage which the masseuse recommended to do Swiss+Thai (with no extra charge) since Thai massage can be very different and a lot for a new person experiencing it. The Thai massage consisted of medium intensity pressure points, stepping around body, and stretches! I can see how this could be overwhelming for someone who would like a more relaxing massage but I really enjoyed the pain. My body felt so relaxed after it (like a sports massage). The Swiss massage was very relaxing in where she used hot stones (no pain)! My boyfriend had the entire Thai massage and absolutely loved it. He was originally very sore from working out earlier in the week but the masseuse got all his pressure points and he walked out feeling incredible! I used to go to Chinatown/Bellaire for massages but I don't think I can go back after coming here! It was so detailed and the masseuses listened to all our body aches/problems! You don't get this experience at most places since most massage parlors has a set routine, but this one takes the time to target your spots if you let them know. masseuse was on the phone chatting away twice during my session. afterwards I left a 20% cash tip and they demanded more money. I thought something was lost in translation but she clarified that I need to give her more tip money. if you search "tip" in the other reviews you'll see that this is common practice. massage itself was okay but nothing special. I have chronic neck and back pain and have been getting massages at other places, but decided to give We Are Thai Massage a try this time. Scheduling an appointment was easy - I called ahead and they said to come on right in. Parking is difficult due to the street location, but the ladies working helped point out a spot where I could park. Received a one hour massage with Sandy and she was amazing. She used a combination of trigger point, deep tissue and Thai massage (stretching and using feet) to work on my muscles and knots. The main thing that I look for when I go to get a massage is if they really focus on the areas that hurt and work on them and Sandy did a great job zero-ing in on my neck and upper back. A few small things that they did that made a huge difference: - Aromatherapy - not sure exactly what oil they used, but it smelled heavenly and it lasted throughout the entire massage. -Heated massage tables -Masseuse warmed their hands on hot stones before touching your skin and to warm up your muscles. This made a world of difference. I was extremely impressed and thankful for the massage. I don't think I can get a massage anywhere else now. Highly recommended and will be back. read more

Location: there is zero signage. I drove by it twice before I saw the little yelp sticker in the window. Parking: non existent here. No signage indicating you can park anywhere. This place looks super sketch outside, that being said I was prepared to leave but was wanting to give it a chance. Once you walk in it's a legit Thai massage place. I was greeted and shown to my room. Changed out and got my massage. So some more issues, I like to relax and almost fall asleep during them. She had her cell phone on the bed and every phone call made it vibrate. Which was annoying. But what really made me go wtf, was she was answering calls during my massage. I understand you run a business, and you may be alone, but let that call roll to voicemail. She apologized, but yeah. Now the massage itself was amazing. The stretching was so relaxing. She always asked to make sure I was comfortable, how the pressure is, etc. I would absolutely come back here. Scheduling was easy, they had an opening for midday on Saturday a few days in advance. Parking is limited due to it being located in a house in a residential area plus there is construction going on across the street. The receptionist came outside and showed me where to park. I had a 60 minute combination massage. It was the perfect mix of stretching, deep massaging, and the hot stones were the perfect touch. I found the massage incredibly relaxing but thai massages are very different from Swedish massages so they are a bit more strenuous. Now that's what I'm talking about found this place here on the yelp search engine with positive reviews so I decided to go check it out for myself. When I arrived I saw the outside of a old house with no signs of a business thought maybe the address was wrong so I called and no it was right apparently they are still working on the city permit and they only want by appointment only customers as there is not much parking. Luckily I was able to get a appointment right away with Rena OMG this girl is very well trained in the art of Thai massage she will definitely not disappoint I am so loose and relaxed after my 90 Minute appointment. I can only speak for my experience with Rena but seeing the other reviews tells me the others must be good as well.
