She has continued to treat me through the years due to further issues I have had from my challenging health and the damage it does to my body. We started seeing Jennifer 5 years ago, for both my husband's chronic pain issues and my occasional muscular pains and her massage and physical therapy techniques have been very helpful. I have had a lot of lower back pain and tight muscles, and not only would she work out the kinks, but she also helped me understand some of the underlying causes including my sleeping positions and sitting posture and how to correct those. This is a quiet and comfortable establishment, my type of place. Jennifer has worked with me for about a year, and I appreciate all the time and work she has put in with me. Not only is she very flexible with scheduling but she's always about communication, it's key. I can tell this is what she loves to do, she is a natural healer. This is a multifunctional facility, so Jennifer enjoys getting a little creative with her practices. For some sessions, we will either work on the table or in the equipment room. For other sessions we will enjoy some time outside (when it's nice out). The amount of resources here are crazy - she has foam rollers, balance boards, a treadmill, a cycling station, an inversion table (my favorite), an abundance of yoga balls, sports balls and etc. She specializes in massaging, electrotherapy, ultrasound, and even foot orthotics - the point is, she is equipped with the finest. These are only supplemental tools though, she's known best for her hands-on approaches. It seems like she cherishes the one-on-one time with her patients, so I always feel a wonderful vibe. Jennifer is the best! I was going to PT near my home in Conifer. They were seeing me for 30 minutes and I just wasn't feeling the treatment. It wasn't taking my recovery anywhere. The first time I visited Jennifer, I left feeling better. She nailed the situation with my injury, and gave me hope of where we were going with the treatment. For me, it's a long drive to go to see her. However, it's worth every minute of it! She is very knowledgeable and professional. Jennifer runs Sagewood Physical Therapy out of an office in her home. I went there for a herniated disk and saw her for several sessions. The location is very relaxing and my hour sessions always result in me falling asleep by the end at which point all my pain is gone. She is well versed in all the usual massage techniques and takes regular refresher classes to stay up to date. She has a good understanding of how problems start (i.e., like bad posture, bad weight-lifting techniques) and can provide guidance on how to prevent future injuries. Jennifer is a great therapist who really enjoys her work and helping people. I will surely see her again. If you have a garden you may be lucky enough to get some of her Irises too. (Note: edited on August 9, 2018) I wanted to update my review since my first review was several years ago. In any case, I continue to see Jennifer every few weeks for therapy to keep my back issues at bay. She still is one of the best therapists I've had and I've never had any problems whatsoever. There has never been any problems with scheduling and she's been very lenient when it comes to re-scheduling if I have to change things. She always asks how I'm doing when I come in so that she can focus on "trouble" areas if needed. I attribute the fact that I've not needed steroid injections for the last two years to the care I've gotten from Jennifer. I went to Jennifer because my hand was cramping after working on a computer all day. She showed me some exercises I could do to stretch my arm and recommended a wrist immobilizer. After using the immobilizer and doing the exercises, the pain subsided and I felt normal again. Jennifer also talked to me about good posture and how to set up my desk properly so I would prevent future problems. I would recommend her. Jennifer helped me get back on track after a neck injury. Prior to visiting her I had received multiple massages and had multiple sessions with other physical therapists. It wasn't until I met with Jennifer that I began to actually understand what was taking place in my body and the practical action steps that I needed to take. She educated me about what was happening in my body, the possibilities if how I got there, and how I could improve my situation through various posture techniques, changes in my workstation, and exercises. All of the abive mwntioned were super helpful but the very best part of it all was her gentle, and hands on, approach with massages, stretching, light, and ultrasound therapies, which were able to stabilize me so I could do the exercises I needed to do to regain strength. With the integration of all of these components, I now feel almost 100% better just a few months later. I would highly recommend Jennifer to anyone experiencing chronic pain! read more

UPDATED: Jennifer's response to my review is absolutely indicative of her lack of professionalism. She chose to reveal personal details of my medical and treatment history. I came to Sagewood after undergoing major surgeries. While Jennifer's office was comfortable and convenient, I found myself increasingly unable to relax during my sessions. Every single session devolved into some rant about her personal life, whether it be the cost of roof repairs, annoyance at her phone company, etc. Additionally, Jennifer would constantly respond to calls and texts from family members and people other than patients during my treatment time. I stopped seeing Jennifer after she joked that I was "retired" due to my disability. When I went to a new facility, they were extremely concerned with the way Jennifer had me holding my arms throughout my recovery. I did mention this to her, and she immediately dismissed my concerns. Overall, I was left with the distinct impression that my time and money were not being well-spent. read more

I came to see Jennifer at Sagewood after Thoracic Outlet Syndrome surgery and have had a very good experience. Jennifer is very caring, knowledgeable, and works very hard to help get me back on my feet. Prior to my surgery, she took the time to meet with me to help set expectations of my recovery and give me a preview of the work we would be doing together. I was extremely nervous about the surgery, as it was not only my first surgery ever...but also a very complicated and unique surgery that not many therapists are well-versed with. Jennifer answered all of my questions, and I was able to go into the surgery eyes wide open and feeling empowered. After my surgery, I had a couple of normal recovery setbacks which resulted in me being in a lot of physical pain. Jennifer always quickly responded to my calls/texts with suggestions of how to manage the pain I was experiencing until our next session or she would make time for me to come in immediately. Note - when I called the surgical office about my pain, they never returned my calls but Jennifer did. This is the type of caregiver she is, and I am incredibly grateful for her, as I can't imagine going through all this with a different therapist. I highly recommend Jennifer at Sagewood. I met Jennifer a few weeks ago while stopping by to comment on her garden. We had a nice chat and made a comfortable connection. My cell phone tracked my stop there and put her business in my maps. Crazy! I feel so "watched" with modern technology, but am glad I made this connection. I contacted her with a detailed message of my problem via voice mail, and she called me back within a reasonable time. I've received two treatments and feel tremendous relief! I'm following 'most' of her recommendations, too. I read her reviews here before I called and knew she'd be worth at least consulting. I was referred to Jennifer by a local NP , have used her for my neck strains for over 5 years and and have been sending my Division 1 bound athlete to her for sports recovery. I was in a car accident and went to the doctor to get checked out due to back issues. The doctor recommended physical therapy. I went to my insurance and found Jennifer in their list of therapists in my area. I am completely satisfied with the treatment I have been receiving from Jennifer. She not only helped me with my back problems but took the time to go into detail on things I could due to prevent future issues. Her treatments were unrushed and were indepth when it came to resolving the troubled areas. I first went to receive physical therapy from Jennifer at Sagewood physical therapy a couple years ago when I had a shoulder tendonitis issue. She worked on my shoulder, and worked on my whole body including my chronic lower back problems that I've had since my 20s. I can honestly say that she has helped completely correct my shoulder problems and I haven't had a back problem since I've been seeing her. Comically, I say that she's a witch; and if I stop seeing her that my back will probably go out. This is meant as a complement. I'm sure she's not a witch. I came to Jennifer for chronic shoulder pain that my doctors were struggling to diagnose. She took one look at me and said "your collar bone is crooked". I was dumbfounded, it had taken her all of thirty seconds to diagnose my complaint while my doctors had been left scratching their heads!
