Leo's reminds me of the best supermarkets in Adelaide, Foodland, stocking a similar range. The variety of organic, gluten free, and super foods is enough to inspire you to swear off the bad stuff, well for a few minutes anyway! Prices are slightly higher but when you're buying and supporting local I think it's worth it. Plus when you realise your exercising your right to buy outside of the big two, it's definitely worth it. You can easily do a big or little shop here. Highly recommend.

And when Bambra Deli finally reopened, loyal customers swamped the place like bees to honey. I recall my own excitement as I passed by and saw the lights on inside. Instinctively, I parked the car and headed in to grab some fresh bread, homemade tuna salad spread, egg salad spread and a jar of pickled purple cabbage. The great thing about this little gem of a find, is even though it stocks all the regular essentials like bread, milk and juice, it also carries a fine selection of gourmet style produce. Perfect for those who love the (small) finer things in life.

This is an awesome deal as you can choose from a wide variety of dips, cheeses, olives, deli meats and other goodies. I got Danish blue cheese, sliced chicken, anchovy stuffed olives and a dip (feta, roast bell pepper and cashews). The same stuff would probably cost north of $20 anywhere else. Outside the special red zone though and things a re a by more pricey. That said there is a wide range and if you love deli style food this place will not disappoint!!

Have been going here for a long time and they keep expanding…read more It Started out with a single shop bought out the next shop twice. It has a big range and is a viable alternative to the nearby Woolworths supermarket for most things plus flowers. The quality of some produce has gone down tho since the last extension and the price gone up. The potatoes and pumpkin used to be excellent and several other items used to be excellent but are now no better than Woolworths supermarket. One or two items tho remain better. The cliental is varied but the people sometimes hold the queue up while they decide to do more shopping. the queues can get very long. Don't be in a hurry if you go there. Some fellow purchases are a bit impatient too and will nudge there way with the flowers or trolleys etc while your being served. I have started to go to the Prahran market instead of late and am tending to move away from toscano's altogether for the above reasons.

Let me save you a bit of reading time. The clippings are not about the deli itself, but about things that they stock. Namely, Boscastle pies. Still, it's a well-stocked little deli, and the staff are some of the happiest and friendliest I've come across. They give service with a smile a new name. Service is speedy, and they know their stuff to sell to you.
