We took a 1.5 hour trip in October and were able to get up close to otters, seals, and dolphins. The employee managing our trip was very kind and attentive, and we got complimentary drinks and blankets. Shaded and open seating options!

Kiwi is an amazing person. Our 3 yr old daughter got sick on the boat and Kiwi was there to help as if she was family. I can't say enough kind things about her. We saw thousands of sea lions and MANY whale sightings. I would pay double what we paid for our private whale sighting. P.S. -kiwi ask for a raise or a commissioned fee!

Loved it! Was such a great experience! Weather was not cooperative but either way had a great time! Such an amazing experience! Definitely recommended!

Sometimes, it's fun to pretend to be rich. It was one of those hot days, and I wanted to sail! Unfortunately, I don't have a boat. Fortunately, I went online and found Sail Monterey, which offers affordable Catamaran Cruises. I thought it would be a perfect girl time with my daughter! The boat was beautiful! We were the first ones to check in, so we were the first ones on the boat. Whew! These three ladies cut in front of us in line. I was so relieved when the captain called us first! And it turned out the ladies were last. However, the boat was nice and spacious. Only eleven people signed up at 3:00. Free drinks and snacks were a plus! Beer, wine, juice, and water were available. I enjoyed my Italian White Wine, and my daughter enjoyed her Fizzy Grapefruit Juice. For one hour and fifteen minutes, the captain took us far into the ocean. I'm not sure if it was north or south, but it was awesome feeling the breeze on my face. We saw porpoises, whales, and sea lions. I was bummed I couldn't get a picture of the purposes and whales. They were so fast! But it was cool seeing them peeping out and then diving into the water. It was a wonderful day. My daughter couldn't stop thanking me. I was grateful, too. I'm glad I thought of this activity rather than spending it at home in 97-degree weather. Thank you, captain and Sail Monterey!

We booked a private afternoon with Sail Monterey for my mothers celebration of life. They provided drinks and light snacks along with a fantastic level of professionalism and hospitality. Planning and attending a celebration of life is never easy nor enjoyable, however they did everything in their power to make this as easy as possible on us. We released (biodegradable) wreaths from the boat as my mom's favorite music played. She would have absolutely loved it every minute of it.

We went on a 1 hour tour on the catamaran, it was a great trip! We saw sea otters, seals, sea lions, dolphins and lots of birds. Captain Kiwi did a fantastic job running the boat and keeping all the guest happy. We highly recommend this company.

Such a beautiful sunset cruise and we'd definitely do it again. The captain was very friendly and complimentary drinks and blankets were provided.

Captain Paul works hard, yet making everyone feel welcomed and accommodated seems effortless for him. He's one of the best captains I know--deeply knowledgeable, charismatic, and someone who inspires confidence no matter the weather.

A week or so before our trip to Monterey our agenda has changed and we needed to switch our reservation to another day. A quick call to Captain Christian and he was able to accommodate our request. From the moment we booked with Christian, we knew we were in for an unforgettable day... Christian is warm, friendly, and a true expert in sailing. His boat is stunning & spacious. His knowledge of the area reflects his years of experience, and it's clear he knows the Bay like the back of his hand. He navigated the waters to ensure we had the best experience possible, keeping us in the sun & warning us when to expect a little bit of colder wind - he accommodated us with warm blankets & cups for our champagne! He made us feel completely safe throughout. We were blessed enough to spot a few whales, which made the views even more exciting. We were celebrating my boyfriend's 30th birthday, so we had an impromptu photo shoot. Christian captured beautiful photos of us that we cherish! All in all, He went above and beyond to make us comfortable and even teaching us a bit about sailing--a dream for both of us. He allowed us to connect our playlist to the speakers, or choose one on his Spotify, and enjoy. While he gave us plenty of private time to soak in the breathtaking scenery, we also loved chatting with him and hearing about his life during the tailend of the trip. This was an incredible experience, and we can't wait to sail with Christian again when we're back in the area. Don't hesitate to book this adventure--you won't regret it!

We had a blast kayaking with the otters and seals!…read more Parking was easy as was check in at the store. They gave an informational overview of where to paddle to see wildlife as well as other recommendations and safety tips. They provide life jackets, waterproof jackets and pants which were great too keep water off your clothes. There are porto potties available if you need to use the facilities. The staff were well very nice and helpful. The main con of our trip was the two person top sitting kayak we were on seemed to have problems with steering. No matter how hard we tried to turn right, the kayak always tended to veer the other direction which was frustrating. We got another kayak to check if they saw anything wrong visually on the water, but they couldn't see anything so maybe there was something going on with the underside of the kayak. Besides that, we had a nice time on the water and were able to enjoy seeing all the birds and cute otters and seals out and about. Later in the morning and early afternoon we even got to see the otters get more active and go diving for mud worms that looked like bright orange cigars. It was super cute seeing the otters sleeping nested in the kelp too. Try not to disturb them though since they need to conserve energy to stay warm! We unfortunately saw one tour group led by a guide that went right next to a sleeping pod of otters and woke them all up. Overall, fun place to go kayaking with wildlife! Glad we went on this trip here!

Service: 5/5 Selection: 4/5…read more Value: 4/5 Honestly I didn't realize what I signed up for when I book these reservations. I thought it would be a cute little excursion to learn about the marine life in the slough but no LOL. It was a lot. It was very cold and windy the day we went kayaking. They let us borrow jackets and pants, I wore a cute bikini and wanted to get a tan in but no! LOL Honestly it was definitely a memorable experience but I wouldn't say I would want to kayak near the sea ever again. It's a little scary but great for those adrenaline junkies.
