Whether I want to make myself a little cheese and charcuterie plate, or some soup, salad or a nice curry, Tesco has it all. They have wine, beer and cider too, much less expensive than hotel room service! And Tesco is always my go to stop for chocolate and gummy candy to bring back to the states. They have a bigger selection than the Sainsbury's Local that is nearby, and much cheaper than buying at the airport.

The selection of produce for this size of shop is impressive and boasts a butchers and cold meat counter. If you buy more than £5 worth of produce, which let's face it isn't hard in Waitrose, you will get 2 hours free parking in the underground carpark, perfect as parking in Greenwich can be a major pain. Head on down for your free coffee (with a My Waitrose Card) and free parking. Visit the sights in Greenwich and maybe even pick up some necklaces from Greenwich Market, you know, each to their own... One of the reasons I deducted one star is because one of the female cashiers came off as being rude. She said, "If you want a bag, you should've said so" with so much spite. What in the world was going on in her life that she had to take it out on a customer? Meanwhile, on the other spectrum, her coworkers went out of their way trying to help me find shelf stable milk since my hotel didn't have a fridge. So pros: convenient, helps save some money, some of the employees go out of their way to be helpful. Cons: At least one female cashier needs to be spoken to by management about how she talks to customers.

It was very busy inside with what I imagine was mostly the regular weekday comminutors. There are many self-checkouts so the line went fast. Normally I went to there but some wines, and I have used ID copies in my phone with post office certified. It always works. However, one day I used the same ID from my phone, they don't accept it anymore. No sorry, no explanation, just rude way. Treat me like a second class citizen. I bet they don't ask everybody else for the real ID. P.s. I am a 36 ys old mother with two kids, I do not think they can't tell that I am older than 20ys old from my appearance. Just across the road from the main entrance to Holland Park, this is a relatively small Waitrose, but still has a good selection of fresh produce, and a fair range of everyday groceries. I often pop in when in the area, as I like the quality of the vegetables especially. I have found the service to be much improved of late so have been happy to shop there, as well as buying Waitrose / John Lewis gift vouchers as reliable and simple presents! (NB there are check-outs at both the Kensington High Street and Earl's Court Road exits, so if one area is busy you can always use the other!).

It is a decent size Waitrose store but many things about it which I usually like about Waitrose seem to let it down, for example, the staff members seemed a little rude and to just get in the way especially when stacking shelves, it seemed like they had a rude and careless attitude which was a shame. The selection of drinks in the store which was the main purpose of my visit wasn't too great, with a poor selection of Iced teas, with the only one available being Fuzetea (they didn't even have the mango flavour either, just the peach one I don't like!) Like with all Waitrose there was the quick scan via your phone service "quick check", however, I couldn't find where to go at all to activate your shopping, the only part easy to find was the checkout for people using the service. With no barcode to scan in obvious sight or mini-handheld scanners which the service uses, this part of the store could definitely be better organised. The location isn't bad and it is nice to have a decent sized supermarket in this location, which was within walking distance of the Hilton London Euston in which I was regretfully staying during my time in London, but many parts of the store such as stock of certain items, organisation and staff members do let it down so it sadly does not justify anything over a two-star rating.

I find the atmosphere here is much more relaxed than Sainsbury's. My shop us on average £25 a week cheaper. The biggest bonus though is, after loading up your trolly, finding a manned check-out. The most annoying thing about Sainsbury's is the lack of manned check-out counters and being marshalled to a self scan belt.

What was meant to be a 10-20 minute visit, lasted almost an hour. The store is huge, the layout is well spaced out and labelled. Even though the aisles are long, the categories are clearly marked and you can choose which aisles to walk along and which to skip. The range of products is amazing. Plenty of options for "exotic" foods - Indian masalas, ramens, Korean spice pastes etc. I finally found Fanta lemon that I've been searching for since I got introduced to it 2 months ago in Toledo (I actually thought it may not be available in the U.K.) Love this store, it's much larger & roomier than any other Sainsbury I've been to in London.
