Long time ago I was a member for years, at the bottom, on the verge of living out of my car so I sought help from my church RP and specifically Mike Yearly who turned his back on several of us, several families...all members. When I went to see him, it felt as if evil from him was trying to drill a hole in me via his eyes. When several asked if we could pitch a tent just for a few days there Yearly said no and then asked how we would tithe. I kept my faith and God blessed me abundantly...found a church a short time later that welcomed me with open arms and even offered me a place to live. My situation now is completely abundant buying my own house, in fact several. After all those years I thought to try RP again hoping, praying the evil had left...it had not. They have greeters that act as if it's a job or a chore to greet, not an honest emotion to love people, love God's children. Rocky Peak has become a mega-church jr. with all the ritual distance from it's members especially those who income is not adequate. After many years asking God's help with loving regardless I tried going back for a bit to see what the Spirit had to teach me thinking/praying maybe perspectives had changed, but it still felt like it wasn't my Father's house and not a place where His beloved children could run and jump and play. In one of my revisits a couple outside afterward even said they were leaving RP becuae their faces got tired of smiling. Yearly quipped several times to me on the side way back then he couldn't wait until his contract with the church was up. A pastor loves his flock regardless of their status and finds joy in being with them..this is NOT Rocky Peak or it's lead pastor.

Now we call freedom church our home church! I have met so many amazing people through the church! Friendships that are everlasting and helped me along my journey walking with Christ! Pastor justice is such an amazing pastor and the lord speaks through him in a way that helps me observe and apply the word of god in my daily life! I use to run away from churches that made me feel like I didn't fit in or who were rude or if I saw them smoking , cursing! Truth is our world is broken! If god accepts us for the times we have sinned why wouldn't he accept them? You don't need to be perfect or have a perfect life to follow Christ! Growing up my parents protected me from seeing how horrible this world can be and I know I needed to see these things because it would give me a choice! A choice to see what is good and bad and how to say no to bad things and how to keep my eyes on the lord or be someone else's blessing. Are people going to look at me funny or judge me? But I got the complete opposite at Restored. I can tell this definitely feels like one big family here. Everyone is so genuinely nice and friendly, not the fake kind of nice. I loved the message today about what it takes to be a healthy leader. I got emotional at some points, but I also had some laughs from the pastor's jokes. I've been trying to find a church to go to since I've been wanting to go back to my faith in Jesus, and so far Restored seems like the church I will be attending. Can't wait for Sundays!!

I have been feeling like the enemy or the devil has been attacking me. And I've morning a lost from a relationship, my cars engine broke down on me, listening to family drama and I'm just like what did I do to deserve this. I am blessed enough to have friends to come and get me to take me to church, and I even walked back home after. Took me 3 and half hours to walk but I needed that. There was plenty of parking in the garage, come early especially since this Saturday they had this performance of the passion play. Great singing and performance by everyone. We took communion. I'm torn by the way I feel. I feel like there is an angel and a demon on my shoulders that tugging on my heart, mind and spirit. I want to do right. So god has it on my heart to lean on him while I am feeling so low. Not going to lie I miss my daughter so much.

We had such a great time recently with the USPS food drive, delivering, sorting and packing all the food donations. It was a ton of work (literley!) but so rewarding! Inspired by the new Pastor Diane Ryder, I look forward to every Sunday and pray for the continued joy and success in this happy little church! Come volunteer on a Saturday at the Fish Food Pantry or visit one Sunday!
