When I was living in Metairie, I had a service package for laser hair removal with Saintly Skin. The original price was $9000 but I paid $5400 since it was a Black Friday with a 40% discount for about 6 sessions in its entirety. I wanted to give them my credit card so that they would charge me monthly and they mentioned that they work with a provider named Cherry and I should go through them. The total amount was to be paid through Cherry in 6 months 1st payment starting in December in the amount of $771.43 and monthly thereafter with no interest if paid within 6 months. What I did not know was that Cherry would pay Saintly Skin the whole amount upfront. I needed to move back to CA and let Shontell, the receptionist and Penny, the practitioner know about this two months ahead. Until then I had received 2 full body and 1 partial treatment yet the service provider and Cherry have kept charging me even though I wasn't receiving any treatment. When I mentioned this to Shontell, she told me that I needed to contact Cherry directly to resolve the issue which I had done exactly what she said. However, they told me that they can not do anything on their end and it must be resolved by Saintly Skin. I explained to Shontell the situation and she told me that she would let Kevin, the manager know. I've called numerous times, left messages but no response. It took him about 6 weeks to respond saying that they don't have any refunds for whatever reason whether used or not and I should have paid more attention when I filled out and signed the forms. He even sent me a photo of the posted sign on a piece of paper in the waiting room saying that there were no refunds which I neither saw nor paid attention to. However, it was never mentioned or explained to me by the staff that once you sign this there's no return. I also did not know that the whole treatment would take 12 months. When I consulted with one of the practitioners, she gave me a piece of paper on it written how many sessions needed for each body part mentioned above 4 & 8 weeks. I thought I'd be done in 8 weeks. What she forgets to mention is that EVERY 4 & 8 weeks. After the 1st session when I made an appointment, she gave me a date 2 months ahead. When I asked why so late she said that oh that's how the treatment works because of the hair cycle. Anyways, I explained everything to Kevin telling him that it's neither fair nor ethical to charge me for the services I didn't receive and asked for a friendly solution. But he was determined to eat the Bread of Shame, for unearned money his business was taking from me. What he doesn't realize is that there's something bigger than all of us. Whatever we do in this life will come to us in the same manner whether good or bad. Although I find Unsaintly Skin unprofessional, unethical, and corrupt, the staff were very kind and friendly, especially Penny, she rocks. read more

I was introduced to Saintly Skin due to a Groupon. Although I have been to many skin care facilities for various treatments, Saintly Skin is exceptional. It's a super clean facility that is conveniently located. The services offered are broad in scope and they are reasonably priced. What sets them apart though are a few things - their clinicians are simply awesome! They take ownership of the experience and they make sure that you are completely satisfied. They are timely, friendly, and very professional. The facility is impeccably clean and I felt totally comfortable as a new client. I look forward to returning and trying out all of the various treatments that they offer. I just wish they had a facility on the northshore. I went for Dermaplaning and was very disappointed. The place looked very nice and the esthetician was nice but her technique was not good. I have had dermaplaning done elsewhere and it was very different. I felt like the esthetician used the type of blade I can buy myself not the usual type I am familiar with at other salons. Three words: NO MORE HAIR I have been wanting laser hair removal for a while and finally decided to take the plunge! I started off with a Brazilian and was very nervous. I've never been waxed down there so I didn't know what to expect. It was surprisingly not painful and Megan makes you feel super comfortable! Ashton left my skin smooth & shiningggggg!!! I went for a microdermabrasion. I hadn't enjoyed a facial in over a year (maybe more). Ashton asked me questions as she started the process to find out if I had sensitive skin. I wasn't sure so she walked me through the process. She showed me the tools used as I was questionable of what the outcome would be. Before applying each treatment/serum she told me about it & what it would do. She applied a serum smelled so good (like Oranges) & said it should feel "tingly". She asked if it was too strong or not. After a minute or so the tingly started to feel more like a light burning sensation so she immediately removed it and applied another serum which was much better. (At this moment I learned that I just may have sensitive skin for the next visit lol.). I say next because I would definitely use them for skin care again. I loved the touch and feeling of my skin afterwards, not to mention the smell! The last treatment was a moisturizer with UV control in it. I kid you not, I couldn't stop touching my face after lol. I received a gift from my husband for saintly skin - I called to schedule- they were so accommodating and pleasant that I looked forward to my appointment. I arrived for my appointment I was greeted right away and I thought the shop itself was absolutely adorable. Megan did my services I had the oxygen facial and I was very impressed with her knowledge, care and how she explained everything she was doing and how it all worked. She was calm pleasant and professional I felt very comfortable and relaxed. Something that's hard for a busy working mom to do. I would like to love this place, but it could be so much better. Where do I start? The rooms are really bright, there is no calming music or noise filter, so you can hear the phone ringing or people talking outside the door and the workers wear gloves to rub your face, which is super uncomfortable and weird. I got a Groupon coupon to go here. I got a microabrasion and oxygen facial. In 30 min she was done. Of the 30 she left me in the room for 10 with serum on my face while she was in the front laughing and talking. From the start she act like she didn't want to touch me and she wasn't friendly at all. I had this same procedure done at Sparadise and the experience is like night and day. All I can say don't go here. If you want a great experience go to sparadise on n causeway. read more

Don't even bother wasting your money here. The other reviewers are right when it comes to the employees' unprofessionalism. They hardly know what they're doing when you ask them about the sessions. There was even one instance where the lady in charge of my laser hair removal for my face got the wrong machine and was going to do an IPL on me. And that visit was probably my 3rd so I'm not sure what was going through her head at the time. They just give off a weird, fake vibe. It's hard to explain. I just feel so uncomfortable at the spa. They hardly even remove the hair on your face. There were a lot of gaps where she pressed the machine to my face. For example one press on the forehead and one on the chin. They are not very precise. They just zap away and get you out of there as quickly as possible. I would much rather spend my money elsewhere. Their machines suck. Service is the worst I've ever gotten. Just stay away if you don't want to be ripped off. Their deals sound like a steal, but I'd rather go to a licensed medical esthetician or even chronos ( even though it's more expensive) than to ever come back here. I'll pass. read more

I went to Saintly skin for teeth whitening and an oxygen facial, and was nothing but impressed with the treatments and the overall atmosphere of the business as a whole. Everyone i spoke to was pleasant and accommodating, and their oxygen facial left my skin feeling better than it has in a while! Their teeth whitening treatment was great as well, and my smile looks all the better for it. I thought their prices were very reasonable given the amazing service I received. In addition, they had this adorable little shop with all these fabulous items for great prices. I booked an oygen facial with Meggan for my daughter prom. I first booked the appointment for a Thursday not knowing my daughter had band practice and couldn't make it. I called Meggan and told her about the issue and She promise to do her best to get her in the next day. Later that evening she called and informed me that she would be able to fit her in that Friday morning. We where so excited that she would still be able to make her appointment. When we arrived Meggan was ready to get started no wait. She knew that we where going to be busy that day and she didn't want us to wait or miss our other appointments. Love this place! The Groupons make everything more than reasonable and the customer service is great. The only thing I wish I could change is the order of the extractions and microdermabrasions and how hard they go on your face but the results so far haven't been bad! I do not recommend this establishment at all. I booked an hour treatment , when I showed up, they had me scheduled for a 30 min treatment. I was a first time client who made an appointment for a Microderm and a combo facial. When I got there they told me I would only be getting half the Microderm that I already paid for and only they only had 15 min to do it. The only good thing about the experience was the pleasant personality of the technician. When I spoke to the owner who's only been in business for a year, she was not open to constructive criticism, at this rate she will never build a long term clientele. Especially one that has some money to spend. There is also nothing inviting about the ambience of this place, poorly designed for a spa like experience. I'm only speaking from experience, I've had the privilege to travel and spend my hard earned money in some nice spas, this establishment is far from worthy of your hard earned money.
