I recently went to this location for a lash lift and tint after having it done by my lash tech multiple times in the past. To say I was disappointed was an understatement. I'm not sure what went wrong, but I left this business with my lashes looking mediocre and very different than they usually do after having this service done elsewhere. The lashes are not equally separated & the tint used did NOTHING to dye my lashes, the colour looks no darker than when I walked in. Unfortunately I paid over $110 for this service (the lash tint was $23 alone). I will not be returning again for a lash lift & tint; however, I will continue to occasionally visit Frilly Lilly to get waxed.

Jessica is who I have seen from the start and is FANTASTIC at what she does, I have also seen her coworker Sarah who is just as good. It is great to have two options for girls you trust! I was surprised when I found this place. Thinking about its location and exterior, I would imagine it to be a somewhat low-quality salon. But, thinking like that, I would be wrong. This place is actually quite eye-catching on the inside and very welcoming. They have a clean environment to work in, which provides me with comfort. The staff are definitely among the nicest stylists I've met. They can tolerate children in their chairs, which is more than I can say for other places. They have a way of talking to anyone and making them feel very welcome and at home. Since it is classified as a 'family' salon, the prices are actually cheaper than other places. The store itself has a lot of eye-catching cosmetics in it. It's basically a mini version of Sephora. They've got cosmetics, bath products and little trinkets galore. The brow studio is located right through the store. Jane was the brow expert working on both myself and my Mom. She is most definitely an expert when it comes to brows. She knows her business like no one else. The only thing I found a little irritating was that she kept saying to me "I don't know where you got the idea that thin brows are in. You need to start watching television and looking through magazines". Considering I am a television producer, I found that condescending. She said it a number of times too, once would have most definitely been enough. She also went on to assume that I don't work yet because she said "Once you start working, you'll definitely want to start filling in your eye brows for a more polished look". Yikes...we're definitely not off to a good start. Overall, I can't argue the fact that the experts at The Brow Studio are true gurus of 'eyebrow art'. If you'd like to know if I'd go back however, outlook not so good. The assumptions, the ignorance and the demeaning comments put me off for good.

Customer service was excellent as soon as I walked in to the salon and throughout the treatments. I love threading, but find that there's not many places in Calgary to get this done. I also got the 'exotic' bikini wax and this is where I seriously cringed, I've been to many places over the years for Brazilian/bikini waxes, ranging in quality and styles. I have to say this place was a first, mostly because she used a butter knife to spread the wax.... This is a metal knife, in hot wax, then applied to my tender skin, so needless to say it didn't feel wonderful, and it totally grossed me out. Not sure if this is regular practice or not, but definitely not willing to find out. Either way, I will be back for the threading.

Super excited when I saw my brows after my first session today! About the pain. I'm used to tweezer, so only one certain spot bothered me a little. Tina always check to make sure I'm comfortable before continued, so other than it I didn't feel much.
