I tried a handful of salons in FFM (always leaving disappointed) and eventually discovered Bel Hair-a super cute salon with amazing staff who attend to the little details that make your experience special. Dominik is as friendly as he is talented and he always makes me feel understood and cared about. We have had a blast doing everything from a grey bob (my husbands fave!) to a long purple style with layers! Each time we brainstorm together and I leave happy!!! I am moving back to the US in a few weeks but you can be sure I will be planning my hair cuts around my visits back to Frankfurt!

I went to Excellent Hair to get blonde highlights around my face. That's it. I explained that I wanted caramel blonde mostly around my face and, in case of any language barriers, I showed them pictures. PICTURES. Because I don't know how to dye hair professionally, I trusted them. I shouldn't have. When the foils came off, they had died my naturally warm brown hair a cold dark brown. (I am a warm/neutral, always have been) And the highlights were bleached-white blonde, a huge chunk above my forehead with tiny little strands throughout my hair. I looked like Cruella DeVille. What's worse is they didn't own up to a mistake but tried to tell me this was the color I needed for my skin tone. Graveyard brown and white? Seriously?! I was so excited to get some blonde in my hair to make feel younger and happier. Instead, I came out sad and looking 10 years older. (Ich bin ein warmer/neutraler Farbton, war es schon immer) Und die Strähnchen waren gebleicht-weißblond, ein riesiger Brocken über meiner Stirn mit winzigen Strähnen im ganzen Haar. Ich sah aus wie Cruella DeVille. Was noch schlimmer ist, sie haben keinen Fehler zugegeben, sondern versucht, mir zu sagen, dass dies die Farbe sei, die ich für meinen Hautton brauche. Friedhofsbraun und Weiß? Ernsthaft?! Ich war so aufgeregt, mir etwas Blond ins Haar zu färben, um mich jünger und glücklicher zu fühlen. Stattdessen war ich danach traurig und sah 10 Jahre älter aus. Dies ist das erste Mal, dass ich ein Geschäft online bewerte, aber ich finde, die Leute sollten wissen, was in diesem Salon passieren kann.
