Sal The Flower Guy went above and beyond for our wedding. We originally told him that we wanted white flowers with a hint of natural greenery. Sal responded saying "he had a vision ". We decided to trust him and let him do his thing. Fast forward to the wedding day and he managed to decorate everything. I believe a total of 6,000 roses were sacrificed for our special day. It's amazing that all of them were in excellent condition and not one thing went wrong!! Not only was his performance a work of art but he also had the heart to help us with coordinating things outside of his responsibilities. Sal did a such AMAZING job on the wedding bouquet for us! He was very patient on the phone with me helping me design and select the flowers. For the bridal bouquet, he made sure getting my height and figure so the bouquet won't be overwhelmed. He hand picked the flowers I wanted and delivered early to me so I didn't have to worry. We've known Sal, and been buying flowers from him for years. So when our daughter was getting married, we didn't even give it a second thought, of course Sal & Dina would be doing the flowers. And they did not disappoint. The couple was married in front of a giant oak tree at Eagle Vines Golf Club, and I gave Sal a pretty tall order with decorating the tree. Really bummed about writing this review, as I was super eager to work with Sal and his wife for my upcoming wedding in Oct. 2020. I reached out a few months via his online inquiry page a few months back, say early November. He was quick to reply and called me a day after and left me a kind voicemail. I was able to call him back shortly after and we talked about my vision, wedding date, and next steps in order to book with him. We spent an hour on the phone talking through things and what I would expect next. He told me to send him pictures of my floral vision via text since he also texted me his number as a way to easily contact him. He told me he would put together a pricing point for me and get back to me. I did just that the next morning by sending him pictures and talking through things. I never heard back or got a single reply again. The holidays came and went (thanksgiving, christmas, and new years). I thought maybe things got busy, he traveled, took time off since his shop is privately owned so I gave it some time and didn't circle back. After the holidays, I sent another text inquiring about his interest with doing my floral for my wedding. No reply. I then saw they posted on their Instagram page. I replied again last week asking about his interest, and if we can re connect about my vision / wedding planning since I know the holidays can get a little bit hectic, so I gave it some time and tried not to worry. Again, no response. I wasted two months hoping for Sal to want to work together and I didn't reach out to anybody else, hoping I'd hear back from him, as I have heard such great things. He had been recommended to my fiance and I through a friend where Sal did their wedding last year at the same venue we are getting married at. I am bummed since I have to start the process all over again, and have yet to find another florist with my date that is available/affordable for what my vision requires. Granted I have time to book a new person, but its unsettling when you were banking on one person-- I am unsure why he felt the need to not reply at all. If he can't partake in our wedding date or if something came up, thats fine, just communicate that to me and future clients. Sal seemed like such a nice, cool guy who appeared to immerse himself in the whole process including your wedding day. He seemed very fun to work with, so I am not saying don't inquire about his services. I am just sad I did not get the same treatment as all the other reviews. I am very sad that he is not responsive to my messages and now on the hunt for a new florist in the Napa Valley surrounding areas. :( read more
