If I were to return to Playa Zipolite (universe favoring) I would stay here again. No, not because…read morethe beds were good (they're what you'll find everywhere, (at this price point?)). But because the room is clean, the location can't be beat, and the staff absolutely wonderful* and LGBT friendly. Beach-front views on the quieter (unless it's Saturday night) side of the beach. Unclear about nudity moving in/through the hotel, but no one minds you sitting on your patio in your birthday suit, if that's your vibe. The room is cleaned daily which feels great after all the sand you're gonna be trekking in. No TV (why, you won't miss it), generally spotty internet (as throughout the town), and a/c costs extra for the room (we made do without). Water only has one temperature, but its generally hot enough that you won't mind. *I needed hi-speed reliable wi-fi in a beach town not renowned for its "connectedness". Ask the staff, and the owner himself comes up to install an add-on that can get me through my Zoom meeting. Easy-going but most helpful and welcoming, they made the stay.

We kept coming back here while in Zipolite. We stopped the first time for a beer and appetizer…read more Finding an avocado stuffed with fish on the menu, we gave it a try. The dish arrived with three full halves piled high, and absolutely delicious. It is worth returning for. Beer is not on the menu, so we had wine. On return visits found the juice excellent. I believe you can bring in beer from outside to go with your meal. Good friendly service and reasonable prices. WiFi seemed to work well.

Came here for dinner as it seems busy with Mexicans. It closes at 7pm, so we came early. Excellent…read morelocation overlooking the beach and sunset. Great service, good English. We ordered mojito and beers plus guacamole to start and then fish with garlic and chicken as main course. The food came promptly and was nice. The whole fish was over cooked and the quantity of the guacamole was small. The cost came to under $300 per person which is good value

So we decided to come back here to try the mango habanero wings/legs and we are glad we did …read more.. super tasty combo of tangy, sweet and spicy ... but not too spicy or two sweet - just the right amount. And the wings were juicy and the bones easy to open to access the marrow ... skins could have been crispier but hey it was good anyway ... they cost a bit more than 10 pesos per wing which isn't bad and I loved the flavor ... I also appreciated how they decorated a fancy little salad around the wings and randomly decided to give us a big free basket of tortilla chips which where still warm when they arrived ... we were actually confused if we got the tortillas because we were waiting a little while for the wings or because it was complementary... either way, it was appreciated I actually came back here again later in the week to have the classic fish burger for 60 pesos but I did not find myself liking it as much as I remember when I stole a few bites from my partner ... when I ended up having the whole meal I found it to be an overly fatty meal with the fries and the super tender and oily fish burger ... it was tasty but perhaps my body just needed something healthier at the time... it also fell apart in my little hands but the customer service was super fast and kind so or course they need to have a good tip ... particularly with their prices being half of what the prices are of nearby restaurants

Located along Playa Zipolite. It's ok! We dropped by for a drink before dinner. For a weekday…read moreevening, it was largely empty. We opted for beachfront seating. At high tide, the water occasionally comes up to your feet :3 Seating isn't the cleanest, there were cigarettes on the floor and the table had drink residue... Service was a also bit slow, first took a while to take our orders and even longer to deliver the orders. We were maybe one of three parties there... The drinks themselves were fine. Not terrible, but I think we've had better elsewhere.

I found out that they actually don't start serving pizza until the late afternoon. I've been craving a pizza for months, and the only good pizza that I've experienced so far was in the capital city. For lunch I selected the two tacos de res. The tacos were made to order and they were excellent. The best thing about this restaurant is the ocean view. The complete side facing the ocean is open to the beach. You get the breeze, ocean surf and sea salt smell, and adequate sun. The restaurant is protected from the sun and elements. I could literally sit here all day, however I didn't notice any receptacles to plug in and charge. I also don't know if they have WiFi here. There is an adjacent hotel that is part of the establishment which I'm sure is nice for the guests that stay here.
