Their crew entered my fenced backyard without my permission. My 80-year-old mother happened to be at my home and was apparently told what they were doing, but she is not the homeowner and I was never contacted or asked for permission to access my property. When I returned home, I found that my fence had been taken apart and was not properly secured afterward, with a panel missing. At least two of my outdoor lanterns were broken and piled off to the side, my hammock had been tossed aside, landscaping material I had intentionally placed for weed suppression had been removed, and hydrangeas I had planted had been trampled and were no longer apparent. I contacted Tree Masters and arranged to meet with them at my home to discuss the damage and give them an opportunity to make things right. They arrived approximately 45 minutes late to the scheduled meeting. What happened next was particularly concerning. During the meeting, Spencer introduced Chris to me as the homeowner of the property where Tree Masters had been working. I subsequently confirmed that Chris is **not** the homeowner. I went into the meeting hoping for a straightforward conversation: acknowledge what happened, repair the fence, address the damaged items and landscaping, and move forward as neighbors and professionals. Instead, I left the meeting with even greater concerns about how the situation was handled. Accidents can happen during tree work. What I find unacceptable is entering someone's fenced property without the homeowner's permission, leaving that property damaged and disturbed, and then handling the resulting concerns in this manner. Based on my personal experience, I cannot recommend Tree Masters. If their work on your property may require access to a neighbor's yard, I strongly suggest making sure that permission is obtained directly from that property owner beforehand.
