I was referred to Salem Rehab Associates for EMGs and nerve conduction studies on my arms. I had been having pain in my neck and arms for almost two months. The studies were done by a young woman doctor who treated me with incredible kindness and compassion. She did a thorough exam, asked questions and really listened. If you are referred to this facility I highly recommend you ask the referral doctor to pick another location or facility. A family member went there and the Dr was not professional, did not explain things, did not listen to their concerns, ignored their disabilities, and they still have bruises from the testing days later. We went thinking that they would be a good location as all the other specialists we have been referred to are very professional and listen and answer questions, this was the complete opposite. I guess that explains the empty parking lot when we drive past when in the area. read more

Do not waste your time here Heidi is the worst receptionist can't even give me a reference to anyone that can help me. After Dr. Throng couldn't call the salem hospital to re- approve my mri. Because at the time of my mri appointment the mri machine was down. The one time I needed a doctors voice he could not help! Just to push some buttons on a phone. They get paid alot of money to do these things and won't it's sad. So I did my nerve test and my xrays and now can't get my results because a doctor i was depending on for work and living day to day is not willing to help. read more

If I could give a zero I sure would...took my mother here (sent by pcp). Front line staff rude, spoke to each other in Spanish loudly the while we waited to be called. Medical assistant took us to the room said "take your clothes off, doctor will be in, in a few minutes " Doctor comes in sits down and starts, very rude unprofessional. Never explained anything, then had the nerve to tell my mother that she needs to quite down as this was a medical office. (She was having a nerve conductor test done) she by the way is 88. I would never go there again... this place should be shut down and have a new staff employed or have to be trained on being professionally.... read more

I have had back pain since April and finally I got a referral to go here. I was told to go to a special pt which is booked months out. When I asked what to for the extreme amount of pain I am in I was told to use a tennis ball. which did nothing per usual. after calling to ask what else I could do I was told the next day by the nurse that the doctor said he couldn't help me with pain. once again I have been offered nothing for pain and dismissed. i am unimpressed by the care and service I have receive. read more

The office is very unorganized. The receptionist couldn't care less, was curt and impolite. Management is very inexperienced. After my first encounter, I would never do business with them. I do not recommend. RUN. read more

This is NOT a patient centric office. When I called over a month and a half ago, (!!!) after being referred from my primary care doctor, for C-5, C-6 fractures, scoliosis, fibromyalgia, osteoarthritis, sleep apnea, numbness in my arm and hand, insomnia, the SRA office assistant made me an appointment about a month in an half out. I was instructed in detail, how to get to their website to make their job easier, by going online to fill out ALL the intake paperwork. Which I did, it took about half an hour at home, no big deal. I was told to arrive 15 minutes early. Day of appointment background and full disclosure: I have insomnia, so, that affects my life enormously. I am in pain 24-7, and I do NOT take anything for pain, and, so for me, to get to any appointment at all let alone on time depends on how my body is feeling on any given day. I have put off going to doctors for five years due to the pain and immobility, but my adult daughter begged me to go, so I am doing all I can to try to see doctors, as she asked, to show I care and respect her and love her. But, most days I can barely move. Other days I move extremely slow. Today, was not a good day. I did what I could to be there on time. Appt. at 1:30pm, suppose to be there at 1:15pm. I arrived at 1:20pm due to being stopped for road work on River Road. So the receptionist told me," You need to reschedule your appointment because you're late, and we needed time to do all your paperwork intake." I said," I know I am late, but I have an hour and a half appointment and I was stopped in traffic, and I already did ALL of my paperwork online. " The woman next to her pipes in with, "Your appt was at 1:15pm and you're late..." I stopped her there. I said," I know that, we just had that conversation!" I stated again, "There was road work and traffic was stopped. My appointment isn't until 1:30pm and I arrived at 1:20pm. and I already did all my intake paperwork online, so it should all work out since my appointment is for over an hour!" "The younger of the two said she would ask the Dr. (Drake) and she came back and told me he said no. She said she would reschedule me. I said do not reschedule me because I'm Leaving and WON'T BE BACK! Dr. offices that can't see patients that are 5 minutes late can go #%& themselves and the receptionists can go with them too. INCOMPETENT. UNCARING. INFLEXIBLE. DISCONNECTED with Patients. DO NOT LISTEN. Five minutes late for check-in, NOT LATE for MY APPOINTMENT, which was an HOUR LONG! Road work made me five minutes late! Do NOT recommend. I would give them a negative star but the lowest available is 1 star. They do NOT work with the "COMMUNITY" are nto helping patients, and are a complete waste of time, gas and medical money. Oh, poop. Have a nice day! read more

First visit - they were running over 30 minutes late for an appointment that last less than 15 minutes. I was not impressed by the appointment at all (the doctor recommended therapy, which I was already doing), but figured I'd give them one more shot. Pain has increased greatly and losing mobility. My second appointment the doctor had a "don't know, don't care" attitude, implied that my worsening condition was my physical therapist's or my fault. Said he has no idea what to do with it and can't help me - which is ironic because my referral to SRA was so that a specialist could come up with more ideas and work with me on this. Friendly staff over the phone. Helpful staff at check-in. I got into my appointment on time. The doctor was knowledgeable and optimistic. Ordered some follow up treatment. Received insurance approval quickly. Was able to return within 2 weeks of my initial appointment. Treatment received relieved symptoms significantly. The quickest turn around I've ever received in a specialty office. I'm used to specialty offices being booked out 3-6 months. I'm so glad my physician referred me to this office. read more

The office staff and doctor were extremely nice and made me feel very comfortable during my procedure.

Dr. Truong is one of the most incompetent doctors I have ever had the displeasure of getting treatment from. First, he mis diagnosed me with tendinitis in both rotator cuffs, and a bilateral shoulder strain. He tried multiple things, stabbing blindly in the dark, to fix an issue that I did not have in the first place. Then when I went back to him and suggested the possibility that I was mis diagnosed (information that I got from my grandfather, a retired neurologist, backs this up) his ego was too big to admit that he may have been wrong. He tuned out completely when I mentioned mis diagnoses, as evidenced by him referring to my grandfather (which I specifically stated 3 times) as my uncle. He told me to go to my primary care physician so I am now in the process of getting an x ray of my cervical spinal region, which will not show anything, then I will get an MRI which will hopefully reveal the true issue which may or may not require surgery. All of which I am now paying for out of pocket. read more

Dr. is good...office staff is poor. Waited 3 weeks for an MRI because staff doesn't know how match providers to insurance network, and failed to mark insurance authorization "urgent" to "expedite" the process per doctor's instructions. Same problem for "expedite"(ed) referral to neurosurgeon, waiting 2 weeks + while staff tried to refer to 2 out of network surgeons...still waiting for the 3rd attempt to get the appointment set up...referral hasn't left the office yet...day 13. read more

I was recently referred to Salem Rehab Associates for chronic back pain. Sad to say that I hadn't even completed my first appointment and I felt compelled to leave a review. I arrived for my appointment an hour and 15 minutes early to do paperwork I was told to be there only 45 minutes early for. When I walked in, none of the receptionists were very pleasant. I asked for the paperwork and the lady told me to do them as fast as I could, acting as though I wouldn't be able to. I sat down and could hear the receptionists whispering about me and the paperwork getting done. There were multiple times they could be heard whispering in front of and about patients which is incredibly rude. After I finished the paperwork and checking in I still had a half hour before my appointment. 15 minutes AFTER my appointment time I was still waiting in the lobby. By the time I was called back I was very irritated and was not hiding it, however Dr. Blake apologized for my wait and he was very considerate and kind during my appointment. I am not impressed by the reception staff, but the Doctor was great. I would recommend Dr Blake, but be cautious of the front desk staff. read more
