After the past six months of attending on and off bi-weekly sessions, I am finally starting to be able to walk again! A simple everyday task that I took for granted in my past that now has taken me over a year to be able to do again! I owe this success in large part to my Physical Therapist Jake! Jake created a specific personalized treatment plan just for me. He keeps our sessions fresh and exciting by always pushing me harder, so I continue to get better and reach my goals. He is extremely knowledgeable and explains why we're doing each exercise and how it relates to my walking goals. He also has a background working with athletes and uses that education to skillfully add-in exercises that are known to help speed up recovery. In addition, he teaches me stretches that help reduce inflammation and decrease my chance of being sore later. Jake starts our sessions out with a targeted massage and the moment I tense up or show pain he backs off that spot, works the area around the spot for a few minutes and then goes back to that painful spot, and it usually no longer hurts. After the massage, we start the workout which varies each time. Powered By Motion is fitted with lots of fancy equipment and I've had the pleasure of getting to play with quite a few! Some of these exciting exercise equipment items include resistance bands, vestibular discs, balance board, foam roller, stretch strap, aerobic step, staircase, stability trainer, weight bars, etc. During our sessions Jake allows me to pick the music - which I love! It makes working out easier when there are good tunes on! During the difficult, but necessary exercises Jake is good at distracting me, so I can keep going. But don't ever forget your count or you're starting over lol! The majority of my appointments have been with Jake; however, I have also worked with Grant a few times. Both therapists are friendly, professional, encouraging, and respectful. Grant also provides an in-depth and enjoyable massage that wakes up your muscles and prepares them for the second half of the session - strengthening. Grant fills the session with several exercises that feel beneficial and geared towards my recovery. In addition, since he's not my main physical therapist he also checks Jake's notes and makes sure to follow the plan he set so we stay on track with my rehab schedule. Stefanie and Miranda are always so friendly and welcoming as you arrive. They quickly check me in and often offer a beverage and snack while I wait. In the lobby area, there is also a Keurig with coffee and coffee condiments, tea, bottled water, crackers, fruit snacks, and more. I have also had the privilege of recently meeting the owner, Roland, at a deliciously catered event at Powered By Motion. He was insightful, kind, and thoughtful. It's nice when even the owner seems to be appreciative and considerate about his customer's well-being and hold his employee's in high regard. Rehab can be hard and painful, but Jake makes our sessions fun and not feel so agonizing like I had originally feared they'd be. Since I've been working with Jake, I've noticed that my balance, flexibility, stability, strength, coordination, and posture have all improved! In addition, I've had increased energy, more confidence, higher self-esteem, and a better attitude. I can finally feel the anger, fear, and depression of my handicap melt away as I become more in control of my body and get back to walking again. All in all, I have enjoyed attending Powered By Motion and I am pleased with my progress as I feel I am on the right track to recovery. I would absolutely recommend Powered By Motion for all your physical therapy needs and more specifically Physical Therapists Jake and Grant!

Those PTs were inconsiderate and didn't pay attention to anything I said. They are incompetent. Please avoid this place and go somewhere that will care about your pain instead of blindly and unthinkingly have you do whatever routine exercises they were taught in PT school.

However, most of what he did was totally wrong and I desperately wish I hadn't gone to him; over 20 sessions and it was waste of time and money. Additionally, there are serious confidentiality issues in his office. He has no receptionist at all, so he leaves his appointment book open on the front counter where anyone could read it. He also answers his phone every time it rings, so each session was peppered with calls, and when he held the phone with his shoulder, sometimes I could hear the other person (not to mention how obnoxious that was). He also spent a good chunk of every session complaining about his troubles. He also constantly gave (the same) dietary advice (some of which is ridiculous), which, as I found out from my new PT, he is absolutely not supposed to do without dietitian certification. I didn't feel comfortable sharing my concerns with him because the one time I offered a comment, he got upset. I think he's a good person and I hope he sees this and makes some changes in his life so that he can be happy, and so his patients can feel more comfortable and get the care they actually need. But for now, please be aware of these problems if you go to him.

Not right! I hope that this place actually addresses this issue. DO BETTER! 08/10 update: I called the number left below on Aug 2nd and left a message. I called again the next day and a very empathetic person took my call and went above and beyond to take my statement and info and reassured me that this was not okay and that it would be passed to a supervisor and I would get a call back... Well, its been a week and NOTHING! I'm not surprised, as their customer service was awful at the location, they must have got the, "I dont care about customers" attitude from their higher-ups. This place is a joke. They cant even return a call, let alone treat others with a bit of respect! I've been coming here consistently for a little over a year now, and it genuinely feels like I'm stopping by to hang out with friends who just happen to take some blood from me and feed me snacks. Everyone here is incredibly friendly and welcoming, and what really stands out is how familiar and sincere the staff are with each other and with donors. There's clearly very little turnover, and it shows. People know your name, greet you like you're a regular, and actually seem to enjoy being there. It gives big "Cheers" vibes, but with juice boxes. I've donated whole blood many times here and platelets as well, and every experience has been smooth and comfortable. The staff are professional, have steady hands, and make the process easy and not stressful at all. Brittany and Abby are two names I remember, but honestly every single person I've interacted with has been wonderful. I've never once left thinking, "I hope I don't get that person next time." It took me so long to get in I was no longer experiencing any pain. The woman at the desk apologized and gave me a $5 Starbucks card. I was scheduled to go back but I could never bring myself to go back there. I was really hopeful going in too.
