Been here twice now. Super friendly and nice staff. Doc Ambrose is awesome, nice and takes his him time and listens. He was able to put my back in line again on my first appointment. So not a few days later I twisted my back out again you know doing things I am not suppose to do, and I was able to get back in and get fixed up again same day I called. Went to see Dr. Isaksen. Very pleasant, good listener, but trying to get in to see him, namely getting past reception, Carolyn, is like climbing Mt. Hood in your house shoes! I went for a new patient intake. Parked right outside their door, which was not allowed. How was I to know? No signs, etc. I wanted to get my son in there for some badly needed spine work. Due to the demands of my son's job the only time he can get to appointments is Friday afternoons. I explained this to the doctor and asked if we could have the intake appt. on a Friday afternoon and he said YES. When I asked Carolyn to make the appt. SHE WOULD NOT. She said I would just have to keep calling to see if there were any Friday cancellations. Apparently the office closes Friday afternoons so they all can go home early.... well that's nice, but what about what the doctor said?? -smh- I just didn't feel like doing battle with her. My son still needs a chiro, but we'll go someplace else. Goodness knows that there are a ton of chiropractors around, and lots of Palmer (School of Chiropractic) graduates, as well. read more

Absolutely taken back and impressed on this clinic's kindness and professionalism! I woke up this morning with a completely seized neck, it was extremely painful and locked in place. I began to look around in Salem Oregon for chiropractic clinics that are open on weekends, and quickly found it almost everyone is closed on weekends. Kind of odd considering that a lot of people work Monday-Friday and can only go to clinics on weekends. I called Northwest Family Chiropractic because they were open on Saturday, the gentleman (Russ I think) on the phone was very empathetic when he could hear the pain in my voice. I begged them to see me even though I did not have an appointment, and they gladly obliged with a same day appointment. I thought it was going to be just a quick visit, but instead the chiropractor took the time to work on me for at least 30 minutes. He did everything, electric therapy, massage, then the cracking after my muscles were relaxed enough to be worked on. I felt completely rescued, I could move my neck at the end of the visit, which is WAY better than before. I cannot speak highly enough about this place, everyone was so professional and kind. I was in so much pain that I can't remember everyone's names, but it doesn't matter because they were all amazing. First visit, but they have a loyal customer! The massage girl was absolutely amazing! But I just got a copy of my bill and see that dr. Ambrose charged me $50 for an adjustment fee and another $50 for an "extra spinal." When I called to see what this fee was for, I was told that it was because he had to use his knee or elbow to adjust me. I didn't even get much more out of that. I am disappointed. read more

So this is my second go round with NW Family Chiropractic and let me tell you they are the absolute best! A year and a half ago I was in a rear end collision that skewed my entire back out of whack. Dr. Ambrose is an absolute gem of a chiropractor! Makes his patients feel comfortable and at home when visiting. The thing I like about Dr. Andrew Isaksen is that he is a straight shooter. He told me upfront what to expect and put me on a plan to correct the problem and not keep me on as a perpetual client.
