I went to Sally Beauty Supply in Parker to purchase hair color. After polling all my friends on the best type, all recommended Ferria. Sally Beauty has Ferria... in a 'professional version.' I am not greeted by the two staffers there. I stand in the hair color aisle for what seemed like an eternity, looking through the fake hair color swatches trying to determine which one I wanted my boring haircolor to be magically transformed into. No one ever talks to me. I wander some more, feeling painfully neglected and confused. While I found the Ferria, it was a small bottle with even smaller print, and I think (from watching my mother years ago) there should be more to the hair color than one small bottle. I go up to the cash register and ask for help. The girl reluctantly helps me, gives me another small bottle. That's it. I ask if I need something to mix it in. She points to the bottles and says ... 'some people use those,' and walks away. I grab one, asking if there's a difference. No real answer. I wander to the counter, asking if this is the same as what is in the other stores (and the manager yells out, 'theirs has more filler and crap.' So, there's no real directions on what to do, so when I get home I pull up Loreal's website and it turns out the unhelpful staff has not given me everything I need, and what developer she gave me isn't even a loreal brand. I've never done this before, and based on my website visit to Loreal, and seeing that I don't have everything, I'm taking all back to Sally, and heading to Ulta, where I know the ladies are at least somewhat helpful. If anyone has a 'coloring your hair for idiots,' book, please lend it to the employees of Sally, along with a book on customer service. read more

I walked in here yesterday and was greeted by a disembodied 'hi'. 'Hi,' I yelled back into the ether. Then nothingness. Nothingness for the entire 5-10 minutes I wandered the hair color aisle by myself. Then, as I picked up the bottle I wanted and headed towards the front (with what purpose, I did not know, as no one was up there), a woman came out from the back and asked if she could help me find anything. 'No,' I replied. 'I just want to buy this.' She then turned and walked away, into the back of the store behind some boxes. I walked up to the front slowly, going over and over my words in my head, trying to figure out if what I had said was unclear. A few minutes later, just as I was contemplating leaving, she came back up and rang me up. I... I don't understand what happened or why. I never want to go back. read more

Even after I expressed concern that the product would work on my hair, they assured me that it would. Why did I listen?!?! Because I thought they went to beauty school! This is store is jam packed with beauty supplies. It's very small, but suprisingly they are very likely to have what you are looking for. I've been in a couple of times and the sales people were helpful, answering the questions that I had to my satisfaction. Prices are average. read more

Awful advice....they didn't listen to anything I was explaining that I wanted and quickly handed me boxes of "what I needed". My mistake was I believed them and it led me on a 2 day escapade of trying to undo the awful color my hair turned thanks to them. They seriously messed up my hair color with their suggestions . I should have stuck with what I knew instead of their new "recommendations". Do research on any of their suggestions before applying them-because they are probably WRONG. read more

I went into Sally Beauty yesterday looking for some things required to bleach my hair and get it looking platinum blonde. Well first things first, I was walking into the store with absolutely no idea exactly of what I needed. All I knew was that I needed a 30 Developer. That's it. But after about 5-10 minutes of confusion and staring at different little packets that I assumed had to be bleach, a very friendly Sally employee approached me and offered her help. I wish I knew her name to put it in this review because she was AWESOME. She told me the things I needed without convincing me to spend fifty bucks and she also made me aware of expected hair results with the bleach. I felt good that day so I spent the extra $5 on the Sally card. I figure I'll be shopping there a lot more. read more

I just stopped by store number 3883 to pick up some clipper guards for my oster clippers. I could see the guards for my model 76 clippers sitting right behind the clerk. The clerk told me they dont carry anything like that. I pointed at the guards and asked "what about those"? She said those wont work. I stepped aside to look online to verify what I needed, trusting what she said, and while I was doing that her coworker walked up and the she told the coworker that there was only an hour left before closing and she just didnt feel like doing any work, and she sat down and hid behind the cash register. I asked the coworker if I could come back and look at the clipper guards myself and she said yes. the original clerk who refused to help me just sat on the floor looking at facebook on her phone while I picked up the guards I spotted earlier, and sure enough, they said right in the front that they were made for my oster model 76. She had lied to me to avoid having to help me. Even as I paid the coworker for the clipper guards the clerk from before just sat on the floor looking at facebook. The clerk was a teenage redheaded girl, but I didnt get a name. Her female coworker who let me behind the counter had bleached hair with blue dye in it. The redhead is the one who flat out refused to help me. read more
