Kevin at this salon is very nice and he's the only hairdresser I've ever had that gets it right, he gets the cut, style and color exactly what I want. I used to go to Regis at Firewheel but this is closer to where I live and I don't usually have to wait like I did there, sometimes almost an hour at that other salon. He's a little hard to understand and I didn't realize I was being charged for some extra things he said he would put it in my hair. The friendly staff welcome you as you enter the clean and pleasant environment. Wait time was short, and the service was extremely professional. Working in the fitness industry, I need to look professional while I sweat. Translation: I need makeup that won't sweat off of my face. After several terrible experiences at a salon in Firewheel (with nothing to show for all the trauma), I finally found Thu! She took time to explain everything and go over all of my options for the look that I wanted. What I love most about Thu, besides her honesty and upbeat personality, is that she is a meticulous perfections...I want nothing less when getting permanent ink on my face! I have hesitated posting this for months, because of humiliation and pure anger. Years ago, I went to Thu at Salon 4316 after finding her on Groupon offering permanent eyebrows and eyeliner at a discounted price. I made an appointment and went for my visit- I had her do my permanent eyeliner and "eyelash enhancement" where she goes in the lash line with the ink (which she charged more for, but I was ok with it) I loved the results. I returned a couple weeks later and had her do my eyebrows with a brown ink because my natural hair is red. She once again charged more for the :feather touch" which is when single strokes are used rather than a solid brow. I once again, loved the results. It looked natural and was what I wanted. I went for my touch up appointment and had no issues. A couple years later, I went back and had her re-touch up my brows and liner at the same visit and was surprised when she charged me $100 because at the original appointments she stated that after paying full price once, all touch-ups were complimentary and the only charge would be for the sterile tool and ink ($25). I am fine with paying for the service, but was frustrated that she did not keep her word. This January, I called Thu and asked for her to re-touch my eyebrows and she had me come up that same day. When I arrived I told her that I wanted the same "feather touch" but would prefer a darker brown if possible since the ink had faded to an orangish red tint. She said that all browns do that and if I wanted black, it would fade to a gray color. I obviously did NOT want black eyebrows, especially since my hair is red! I told her to do them brown, again, just as she did them before. SHE TATTOO'D MY EYEBROWS JET BLACK!! I was immediately concerned once I looked in the mirror at the salon, BUT she assured me that she used brown ink and to give it a week or so. The strokes also appeared thicker and still do after being fully healed. I paid $150 for the re-do. I followed the after care instructions and called her a couple days later, because I KNEW that she had used black just by looking at the semi-healed eyebrows. She once again, denied using black ink and said to wait 4 weeks for them to look brown. So, I waited another 4 weeks. I called her salon over 10 times over the period of 2 weeks, leaving messages on the voicemail and with other employees and she never returned my calls. I called again and told a male employee what had occurred and that I would file a complaint with the state and physically come up to the shop ( I live 2 hours away) if she didn't return my call that day, and of course she called me back within an hour. She stated that "I can fix them, but it will be a longer appointment, at least 1 and a half hours" BUT still denied using black ink!! I went to a cosmetic laser removal facility for a consultation and they looked at my eyebrows under their special lights and magnifiers and confirmed that in fact, it WAS JET BLACK INK. They do it for a living and must identify the ink pigment first to know which laser to use to remove it. I was advised NOT to return to Thu's salon as any additional procedures or ink would decrease the chances of successful laser removal. They advised me to wait at least 6 months before starting the laser removal procedures (that are painful and costly). I believe that she did not have the correct needles or the brown ink in the salon that day and just wanted my money rather than having me re-schedule the procedure. I still cannot believe a salon owner would do such a horrible think to a client. Thu, the salon owner, is a HORRIBLE person and will RUIN your face. DO NOT allow her to do permanent make-up on you!! I would not trust her for any cosmetic treatments or procedures! Karma will get her. The attached pics are of the above mentioned brows. I had an amazing experience getting a cut, conditioning and color services today! I will definitely be returning.

Beware of this place! I bought a Groupon for an eyelash perm and suffered the consequences for months later. She burned the heck out of my eyelids fried my eyelashes they were kinky broken and I look like I had been electrocuted. I had blisters all around my eyes and when I went back in to tell her she gave me a pinch of aloe vera and acted like she was a doctor telling me how often to apply it. Now, mind you, she gave me about a teaspoon. It was a horrible experience ...my eyelashes were ruined and it took months for them to grow back. If you are crazy enough to try this place, don't go before a holiday or special event as I did because you will regret it if she burns your skin the way she did mine or fries or eyelashes the way she did mine. I couldn't even wear false eyelashes to cover it up because of the raw blistered skin on my eyelash line. I could not believe how kinky and out of control my eyelashes were. They are nothing like the pictures that she shows you of beautiful eyelashes of supposed clients. I'm sure she has been successful with others, but why risk it? read more

I'm not sure why all of the great reviews of this salon are hidden and not calculated into the overall rating. I'm also not sure why the one five star rating that they did use is from 2012, but if you read all of the "not recommended responses, you will have a much more reliable response ratio. I love Salon 4316, and I am a difficult person to please when it comes to my hair. I have naturally curly hair and most stylists cut it too short not allowing for the curl shrinkage. Kevin and Thu are professionals and know how to work with all hair types. I have colored my hair at home for years; not wanting to spend the extra money to have it done at a salon. I first came to Thu when I had a home coloring disaster and my long time hair stylist was booked for a month out. Thu was able to fix the horrific orange and peach color I had done to myself. When I walked out of the salon my hair was beautiful and the color was perfect. I will never again color my hair at home. I look at it now as not a needless expense, but rather a wonderful pampering that I deserve. I now have Kevin as my stylist, and Kevin is awesome. I love both Kevin and Thu. I have no qualms about sitting down in either of their chairs for a color and cut. I am never disappointed when I leave the salon. The only disappointment I ever have leaving Salon 4316, is that I don't have anywhere to go to show off my great hair. Kevin and Thu are not just great stylists, but they are good people. They always treat their customers with respect. And, they always show their appreciation for their loyal customers. I am not sure why this site is actively hiding the great reviews of which is the majority for this salon and choosing to show the few negative reviews in an effort to make Salon 4316 look bad, but I encourage you to read the NOT RECOMMENDED responses before making the decision about Salon 4316. Or, better yet, give Kevin and Thu a visit at Salon 4316 and decide for yourself. read more

I attempted to use a box color and ended up with a two tone color that was horrible. I walked into this salon and met Tue. She was completely booked all weekend, she was so sweet and said if I was willing to come in at 7am on a Saturday that she would come in early to fix my disaster. The results were AMAZING! I had lost my hairstylist a couple of years ago and have walked around with OK hair for years now. I can say with confidence that I have now found my new permanent salon! She was so good and my hair looks just the way I want it to. Not too many people would have made such a great effort on a Saturday morning and Tue did it with a smile on her face and a genuine heart! I never write reviews but I was so incredibly disappointed and extremely upset, I just couldn't let this slide! About a week ago I had a haircut, single color process, and deep conditioning- paid $140. So mad to find out they offer the exact same thing on groupon for $49. Are you kidding me??? The worst part of the experience was, the color didn't take (cover the gray) and had to come back later that day. Also, I only asked for a trim but got 2 inches off along with layers,ugh!!!! I was so frustrated and upset bc I specifically said a TRIM. He clearly didn't listen!!! It's been 1 week and the gray is still showing thru. Suffice to say I will never ever go back. I went for permanent cosmetic for my eyebrows. It was not my first time & I knew what & how I wanted them. She said oh no & immediately told me what I needed to do with the shape, color, size & everything. I disagreed & told her I like the way I've had them. The whole idea, for me at least, is so you don't have to do the makeup everyday. She wanted to completely change the shape, the length, & thickness of them. She was really pushy to the point of almost being rude. I finally just said ok & let her do what she thought was best. Wrong thing to do! First of all she cut my eyebrows very short with scissors!, which I have never had anyone do & didn't like! When finally finished, I looked in the mirror, they weren't even, or the same length. She said your eyebrows are alike, but not twins!! and it would all look very natural & good when my own eyebrows grew out. I wanted my natural brow line to be filled in so I didn't have to start tweezing, to which she said don't tweeze, shave them with an eyebrow shaver, which she also wanted to sell me. I didn't want to have to TWEEZE, much less SHAVE my eyebrows & make them worse! What happened to less maintenance & getting ready faster in the mornings?? After all that, I was told I'd need to come back in a couple of months for a touchup, which I would also have to pay for. I've never had to do that either at other salons. Needless to say, I will never go back there for anything. I'm very unhappy with the results & need to go pay someone else to do the job I wanted done.
