She's conveniently located on Branch Avenue less than 10 minutes from the metro where I park to go into DC everyday. I made the appointment and confirmed online. I arrived on time and she offered to let me sit in the kitchen to finish the food I'd brought. She did have a head in her chair at the time, but I wasn't over surprised. It was a cold, rainy Thursday evening. She got me in quickly and shampooed and conditioned me herself to sit under the dryer (of course) and then she quickly wrapped one client before me and got me in the chair. All-in-all I was out in under 2-1/2 hours and I consider that a complete win. My hair was LAID and I absolutely loved my curls. Whitney does an excellent job with natural hair. I don't need a whole silk press because my hair, while curly, is fine (3c/4a) but she still did a good job of determining the heat setting from my iron (I always bring my own now) and was willing to use my heat protectant, which I appreciated. 10/10

I came with my hair already washed, so she was able to get right to work. She styled my natural hair (TWA) into two strand twist. I was in and out in about an hour. It would have been an additional hour, but I opted to let my hair air dry as To do the twist out the next morning, right before work. I don't remember the products she used, but they worked for my 4c hair. The next morning, It was well moisturized... really good twist out. I will return to see her as her hours and location are good for me.

Needless to say, I needed my hair done for all the celebrations with family and friends next week. I found Weave Krave on Yelp. If you're reading this, I'm telling you to go and get your hair done. This is the best sew-in I've had in a long time. It looks like it grew out of my own scalp! Rita did my hair and she was very sweet and fun to talk to. She listened to my concerns about not wanting a weave that's too tight, and she checked in with me throughout the process to make sure I was comfortable. All the other ladies in the shop were so nice as well! I will definitely return when I decide to get another sew-in.

Faye and Joyce walked me through it and Faye did an amazing job. But y'all. A stylist called out sick. The Friday before CHRISTMAS. And they did NOT turn anyone away. Everybody who had an appointment walked out with hair slayed. Yes, we had to be patient. But we were serviced with an abundance of apologies and smiles and jokes in a pleasant atmosphere. I had an evening appointment so when I walked in, they had been juggling clients all day. I'm sure they were exhausted but it never showed. I really appreciate the ladies who run and work at this shop. Their authenticity, skill, honesty cannot be quantified and I haven't found another shop in the area with this much juice. It is truly a gem.
