Great local salon with talented hairdressers. The place to go when you need to upgrade your look

After a 4 hour process I got my peek a boo red high lights. I had been wanting to do this for over a year! I finally made the call and they were able to see me the next day. Alejandra Tover was my stylist and I must say I was a little worried at first. But she eased my worries as she went along with the process. Great customer service, as an employee went around and asked if we wanted anything from Safeway, since I would be there thru lunch I said yes, Please. It must have been the owner that came over a few times throughout the process and kept checking on how we were doing. And finally the dye came out! What a pleasant surprise!! It was exactly what I wanted! Black hair with red peek a boo high lights! I would definitely recommend this salon and if I need anything else, I will be returning. Thank you again Salon 707!

I'm new to the Vancouver/Portland area and had to find someone to do my hair. Ideally, someone who…read morecan maintain a highlight balayage and keep up my almost-shoulder length cut. It's hard for me to trust someone with my hair for two reasons. My mother worked in and owned a salon for over 25 years, and I once had someone accidentally turn my hair a weird blue/green (before it was a trend). My hair is short, fine, and straight...nothing overly complicated. I called in and made an appt. for just a haircut because my hair was at least an inch too long for my liking. I showed up early for the appt. and was greeted by a friendly gentleman at the counter. When my hair stylist arrived, she was welcoming and friendly and invited me over to her station. I did notice that everyone working in the salon had really beautifully colored, styled, and well taken care of her....except for my stylist. She had very long, frizzy hair with extremely faded color. I'm not judging, however, I do consider it when choosing a stylist. Your own hair in this particular profession is a showcase of your work. If you can't take care of your own hair, then why would I trust you with mine? I felt like I was clear in asking for what I wanted...basically and inch or so off the bottom. My hair does angle forward - longer in the front than in the back, but the cut should be easy enough, or so I thought. My haircut took approximately 2 hours (that's without the shampoo and conditioning which I declined). TWO HOURS. I didn't schedule for that much time. And, she started with the back, so I couldn't see what she was doing, but it felt like she was cutting one or two hairs at a time, and based on how long it took her, maybe she was. When she got around to the front, her cut didn't seem right for the sharper angle I originally had, but I assumed she knew what she was doing. She also never asked where I part my hair, and assumed I parted it in the middle (which I don't), and cut it in that way. My stylist was pleasant and chatty, but she was told that another client was coming in and I could tell that she felt a little under the gun, since it was taking so long. She struggled to get the sides even, and had a hard time with the angle cut...I definitely lost a lot of the sharpness. She rushed through the blow dry and style, which made me look like I had a BOB cut, but I was hoping it would look better when I got home. After washing it out, it's doable, but it's a little too short, barely angled anymore (which I miss, because it made the look more modern for me), the cut looked weird if I parted it a little to the left (like I normally do), and it took way too long! They have lots of great reviews, but I doubt I will return.

The salon itself is bright, fun and clean. All of the employees seem genuine and passionate about their work (their own hair reflects that!) Conversation doesn't ever feel forced so it's a great place for people who dread small talk. My girl Mika does an amazing job taking care of me every single time! The haircuts never feel rushed and I appreciate the fact that she takes the time to make everything perfect. Overall 10/10! If you're looking to try a new salon, this is the place to go!

I had some upcoming business events and travel events scheduled in this week, so it was important that I get my hair done then. I made an appointment three days ahead, and my appointment was on a Saturday. I showed up before our appointment and waited for 15 minutes after our appointment had started-- she was a no-show. I called three times & I got no response. Super disappointed, but understanding that there can be emergencies & mix ups that come up, I was willing to give her the benefit of doubt. The next day I still hadn't heard from her. I called again and left a message. Later finally she called. I was very much taken back because she said she'd already scheduled an appointment with me and spoke to me on the phone on Saturday. I let her know that that definitely did not happen and in spite of having that discussion over three times she still didn't really hear me making it very clear to her that I was previously booked on that day had no interest whatsoever in scheduling She said it must be somebody with my same name. I thought that would be easy to determine by her looking at her calendar & appointment confirmation email where it has all of my information and easy to distinguish between two different people with two different last names. It even seemed like she didn't believe me that I got an appointment confirmation email and requested that I sent it to her because she didn't get it, which is really strange because that's what happens when you have a Calendar. I have a calendar. I deal with one all the time. I can determine which clients are different and I definitely would call them immediately and offer my deepest apologies, and would do anything on my end to accommodate their schedule and to establish some confidence and trust. Definitely not a good way to start a relationship. There was no apology for the confusion, no taking responsibility and no true listening. Against my better judgment I rescheduled. I mean, if somebody can't hear you when you're talking to them on the phone are they going to be hear you when they're sitting in your chair doing your hair? Now it stays before I have a seminar to present and a week away from travel with zero time in my schedule to find someone else. Wow what a horrible experience.

I first met Krissy after my hairstylist cancelled on me two months before the wedding. I was in…read morepanic mode and called every salon from Ukiah, praying that someone would be available. I was discouraged from hearing responses from stylists like, "When is the wedding? Oh no, I don't have any availability." Or "The wedding is all the way out there? I will have to rethink my original price quote." Just when I thought I would have to style my own hair for the wedding, The Parlour salon responded enthusiastically to my inquiry. I set up a consultation with Krissy and was pleased by her professionalism and knowledge of bridal hairstyles. I brought in a few photos of inspiration and within minutes she went to work. Less than an hour later, she transformed my hair. I have very fine hair that has a reputation for not holding curls very well. She did a wonderful job at creating volume and pinning curls to make the style last for hours. I was so happy with her service that I booked her immediately and was delighted to hear she could style my bridesmaids as well. On the day of the wedding, she showed up early and was ready to work. She brought her own equipment and hair products. She styled my bridesmaid's hair beautifully and even offered touch ups, if needed. Additionally, she styled my hair and helped pin an intricate head wreath that had some weight to it. I paid a little extra for her to stay on site and touch up my hair after photos (hours later) but touch ups were not needed because she styled my hair securely in place. I even danced all night and my hair still didn't budge. Simply perfect. A few weeks after the wedding, Krissy did a follow up of her services. I am really so grateful to Krissy and The Parlour for their exceptional service. The Parlour is a relatively new salon in Ukiah. The salon is a clean and friendly environment and I would recommend their services to any bridal party.
