Aleigha gave me the Best Hair Color I think I've ever had! ...instead of the old ho-hum-beige-blonde that I have been getting for just about forever, she jazzed me up about ten notches with an ice-y blonde vampy color that really blew my socks off. Then, after polishing the look with a very professional & snappy cut, she added some streaks of blue, green, pink and purple buried underneath so that the fun colors only poked out when the hair flowed just so...a spicey, fun, peek-a-boo effect that knocked years off my attitude and, dare I say it, my age!!!! I went to Aleigha for I think a couple of years but haven't been there for over a year. She is talented for sure, but every time I went there it was such a difficult experience for me, I think maybe there was a personality conflict or something because she would hardly say two words to me I tried to make small talk but it didn't work very well. Today Danielle did my hair. I started with a dark red brown and I wanted to go Blonde. Danielle suggested we start by highlighting to start the process, so we don't fry my hair. I knew this would probably be the case since my hair is not only so dark, but red. I spent a good chunk of my morning hanging out with Danielle while she did my full weave, and I believe the other gals name was Kirby? Anyways, they were so fun and personable and as boring as it can be to sit in a chair for 3 hours, I had a good time. Where to start? I am kind of haunted by my appointment yesterday with Aleigha. I went in and asked for a lob with ashy, icy blonde balayage color, which I showed her with pictures. I told her I'd take a full head of highlights if she didn't know balayage very well. But she assured me she did a lot of balayage and had four times already that week. So she chopped my hair off, because it was down to my butt and started doing the balayage. I reemphasized that I really wanted it to be platinum and ashy and blend really well. She reassured me that she never lets a client walk out brassy and that we could get this done. Because of my regrowth, she was working on virgin hair which takes really well to bleach. What it comes down to is that my appointment took SIX hours!! I was shocked. As a cosmetologist myself, I figured it would take about three and she estimated that as well. I mean, my hair is now above my shoulders, so it's short. I have gotten it done with balayage when it was down to my butt and it never took near that long! And guess what... I turned out brassy. Yellowish platinum that doesn't have really any dimension and isn't balayage at all. it's just looks like I have an inch of regrowth. It had taken six hours so neither of us was really keen on having to do more, I think. Aleigha didn't even offer. She just told me that since I was a cosmetologist that I should go buy a toner and do it myself.... The cut turned out OK, it is simple, but I like it. She was really proud of it and said it was the best balayage she had done yet... The worst part, if it wasn't bad enough that my hair didn't turn out, was that we went up to check out and she told me it was going to be $260! WHAT?! For a color that didn't turn out and she told me to do myself later?! She said she was going to charge me by hour... huh? Because it had taken six hours? That wasn't my fault. I told her it should've been around three hours and she agreed. I then told her that I wasn't planning on spending over $150, because I was quoted under that. She just nodded and pushed the card slider on her phone towards me. I'm not gonna lie, I was so sick of being there I needed to get home to my baby that I just paid and left. I'm so mad I did, because I feel really taken advantage of. I hate leaving a review like this, because Aleigha was nice. But I do think it was devious at the end to charge so much for something that was unfinished and out of my control (the time.) My hairdo should not have taken that long. Partway into my appointment, another hairstylist came in named Kirby. Her client showed up about 15 minutes later and had long hair like mine used to be. Kirby did a half head of highlights to her and gave her a trim and layers. It took her maybe an hour and a half, and turned out awesome! So if you go to salon Blondies, ask for Kirby. read more

Okay so this salon is amazing! I went in with a really bad ombré from a different salon and was feeling very insecure about it. From the moment I walked in the staff was quick to tend to my needs. I originally walked in hoping to get a quote to fix my hair and ended up walking out with a beautiful ashy blonde ombré. Chris was amazing and she always made an effort to make you feel comfortable and have a conversation. Love this place!! Especially Lisa. For years I have been coloring my own hair. I'm not one to spend $$ on myself since it all goes to my 4 legged kids. Well, that's gonna change. I hope I never have to color my own hair again. I have pretty long hair and the bottom half has gotten darker and darker so not even color at all. Lisa evened it out and then did an all over color. I have to say, it's the best my hairs ever looked. I am just super pleased with the results!!! She also dried and "styled" it with a straight iron, so now I'm even considering buying a straight iron (don't tell my friends...well they wouldn't believe you anyways) THANK YOU Lisa!! Let me start by saying that I have always been loyal to my hair stylist. Due to some changes in circumstances, I decided to shop around for a new one. I live in Ramona and decided to come here and try it out. I was NOT disappointed. Aliyah (sp?) was a great listener and delivered just what I wanted. I wanted my old color out, and a new, warm blonde color in and that is what I got. The other stylists there were also super friendly and seemed attentive to their clients as well. I also did not walk away from there with the guilt that I just blew way too much money on my hair (like I usually do). The price I was given for my baylayage highlights was very reasonable. Salon Blondies is a clean and beautiful salon with a relaxed ambience. I first went in to see Aleigha about a year ago, my hair was completely discolored, uneven, with horrible split ends. I gave her a vague idea of what I wanted and it came better than I had imagined. After a year of going to Aleigha my hair is now exactly how I want it; she is very thorough and I always leave her chair feeling beautiful. My hair had stopped growing when I first started seeing her and after a few cuts with her it is now growing faster than ever. My hair appointments can take quite a bit of time depending on what I get done; however, she is very personable which makes them enjoyable and go by quick. My appointment was with Hannah. She was on time. She took time to educate me about my hair and hair colors.
