We found Wendy via Yelp for my 2 daughters that wanted haircuts, 18 and 7. Both left very happy and will be going back to her from now on for their cuts. My older child has natural wavy hair. She told Wendy she wanted a butterfly cut with layers with the shortest layer being on her cheekbone. No pictures shown and I didn't even know what that meant but Wendy did exactly what my daughter wanted. Her husband was doing short haircuts with his clients while I was there and was highly impressed with his work. I will be trying him out in about a month. Parking lot had plentiful parking. Had to call twice to make an appointment since I didn't receive a call back after leaving a voicemail during business hours. Might need to call a few times to get a live person to answer the phone. Price for a haircut is really reasonable. Ryan was friendly and personable. Unfortunately my haircut ended up shorter in length than I had asked for which I'm bummed about because it takes me a while to grow out my hair. Another reviewer said something similar about her experience. Overall I would still recommend this place for haircuts but just know to ask for a haircut length longer than you really want it because it might end up shorter than you ask for. read more

Before this haircut, I haven't cut my hair for 4-5 years!!!! Wendy cut my hair and I got slight layers with about 8 inches cut off. She knew exactly what she was doing and ensured that all my dead/dry ends were cut off. She didn't cut my hair too short, and kept it at a nice length. She was able to finish my entire haircut session in 30 minutes! I did not get my hair washed. Just sprayed with water. Wendy is super friendly and works quickly and efficiently. I've been seeing Ryan for about three years now and whatever I want - layers, a long bob, a short blunt cut, he gets it right every single time. He is amazing and the price is insane. Used to come here a lot but the place has gone very down hill, mostly due to poor customer service - Ryan is very short with customers, down right rude! - I've experienced it personally and seen it - and the rest of the staff is quite uninterested in taking walk ins. Can't come in looking for a sweet inviting environment. They don't give you accurate times and you end up waiting on a haircut that then takes entirely too long to complete - probably goes back to everyone taking their sweet time and not very concerned on turning customers or delivering any sort of customer service due to their low price. If you still have to go, save yourself the headache and have an appointment on the weekdays and with a general staff member ... though be ready to still wait 10-20min after that as it always seems to happen. read more

When i got there I had a few minute wait time and Wendy took care of me right away. Out of all the haircuts I have ever had this was the best Haircut and styling ever! I got my hair cut here several months ago when I really needed a haircut. I was new to the area and I thought what the heck they have great yelp reviews I'll try them out. I had one of the worst customer service experience. Maybe I was squeezed into a time that wasn't available in the first place? Or maybe it was because it was my first time here? Maybe it was because the appointment was at night? I'm not sure why my experience was so different than all of the wonderful reviews for this place, but this is what happened. I'm not quite sure who cut my hair. Are there more hair stylists than just Ryan and Wendy? In any case, a woman helped me, and didn't introduce herself. Just asked me what I wanted done and if I wanted my hair washed and went to it. That was one of the only words I heard from her, I figured it was just the way she was, a woman with few words. She pulled and yanked my hair about and cut it at an extremely fast pace. Should I have asked her to slow down? Maybe, but she's the one with the scissors. She was soon finished and asked me how I liked it. It looked okay enough, but it was still very wet. Then instead of blow drying my hair she put me under a perm machine. I'm sitting there for a few minutes and she starts helping another appointment (maybe this is why she was rushed with me?) with a guy and she was chatting it up with him like no other...so she wasn't a woman of few words, she had lots of them. I sat there painfully for who knows how long waiting for this machine to dry my hair slowly. When she finally said I was done it was still damp, but I didn't care at that point. I left that night with my hair still damp, thankful the haircut didn't cost a lot. I went home and dried my hair to see how it looked. The haircut was tolerable, the layers weren't feathered like I liked and asked for, just really choppy. I decided to hold off on a review to decide if the low price was worth it. After looking at my hair for several months I've decided that the cheap price of the haircut doesn't offset the months of seeing myself in the mirror with choppy layers. And every now and then when I see the layers I'm reminded of the service I received. It seems like others have great experiences here, but I don't think I can get myself to go back a second time. I can't risk more months of not liking my hair and waiting for it to grow back out. read more

I was looking for a good, cheap place for a trim, and I came across Ryan and Wendy Hair Design. The reviews were all good on yelp, so I gave it a go. I made an appointment for 4 PM, but by the time they were ready for me it was already fifteen minutes later. I brushed it off; not that big of a deal. The reason I gave it 1 star is because of the cut. This is what I wanted: I had long bangs (almost down to my chin) and I wanted it layered. I physically showed her how i want it to slant down and to the side. I also wanted to keep the longest layer at chin length. Instead, she cut my bangs straight across at eye level. Gross. I also asked her to cut a 1/2 inch from the ends and layer it. I don't see any layers whatsoever. It looks like the woman took the top half layer of my hair, and cut straight across (like a bowl cut). Well, I guess I got what I paid for. I would much rather go back to spending $50 for a hair cut. read more

So I've been getting highlights from Ryan for YEARS. He does the best blonde highlights of anyone. When I was in my 20s I tried several other salons just to see what's out there and I've paid double, it takes 3x as long and the highlights aren't as close to the roots. I always come back to Ryan. Now that I'm in my 30s I'm not going to try anywhere else. I know exactly what I'm getting when I sit in Ryan's chair. I go in and within 1 1/2 hours my hair is highlighted and styled and it's perfect 10 out of 10 times. And the cost is beyond reasonable. The salon is simple and clean. No frills. If you want to pay to go to a salon where they give you champagne and it takes your entire afternoon and hundreds of dollars to get your hair done...that's your decision. I ain't got time for that.
