Tried this salon for the first time today. I was very impressed. RIlan was amazing!

Microblading review!! My eyebrows look so amazing thanks to Stephanie!! The only makeup I would do every day is filling in my brows. Now I don't even have to do that! A lazy girl's dream!! I told Stephanie that I wanted them to look very natural, and not too thick. She did them PERFECTLY. I can't stop staring at my brows. She was also extremely patient with my extremely sensitive self. It does hurt, but she has numbing cream to help. It's totally worth being uncomfortable for that short time. She's also very thorough in explaining aftercare. I hadn't had a haircut by anyone except my husband since the pandemic started until recently. I am so happy with the way Michelle at Salon Couvie cut my hair both times I've been to her, once, kept it longer; more recently, very short cut. While this isn't my "go to" salon, I recently had a fancy pants photo shoot and I was sent here to have my "up do" and makeup done. First, Ms. Jan took care of me and started on my hair. She worked with me to determine what kind of look I wanted, and then she went to work. You can tell that she is a pro, because she had me in a gorgeous up do in no time! Next, it was time to get my make up done. I went over to Meg and she gave me a "natural" look for the bridal photo shoot that I had planned. Honestly, I don't wear makeup a lot, but when I do I like to put a little more on than she did. I guess when you are doing a bridal shoot, you want subtlety. All in all, I was satisfied with the look I was given. I can't say I would go back to Salon Couvie, only because they are no where near me, but I will say that if you are in the area and you need hair or makeup done, the Salon Couvie staff does a great job. read more

I have been getting my hair done at this salon since I moved to New Orleans and I absolutely love coming here. I only get my hair cut every few months because I forget to go get it trimmed, but my stylist Rachel is always able to fit me in and always remembers me. All the stylists are professional, talented and friendly and they do all manner of cuts from trendy styles to grandmothers' hooded dryer curls and mens' trims. Plus, it's an Aveda salon so they do scalp massage and use high quality products. They sell Aveda products as well as local jewelry and t-shirts in the front of the shop, but they don't push it on you like a lot of shops and I really appreciate that. The stylists will give you a little sample of any products they use so you can try them at home before you buy them I have curly hair, but I always get it blown out and straightened at the salon because it turns out so much better than when I blow dry at home. This means I never get to see how the curl products work on my hair. Since they gave me a sample of some curl creme, I was able to buy it the next time I went in the shop and know that I would like it. The shop is in the Rouses strip mall on Airline, near the McAlister's deli and can usually take appointments same day. read more

I recently just moved to the New Orleans area and decided to look for a new hair salon for that wow factor I needed for my hair. And oh my goodness WOW. I've had a lot of hair traumas in the past, so I'm not really good at letting just anybody cut my hair. This place was so cute inside and very organized, and CLEAN. Anna cut and styled my hair and gave me THE perfect cut and style. I wanted side swept bangs and a trim and she did just that. She also gave me a soothing massage which was unexpected but soooo relaxing. I definitely with be coming back and I will become a regular. If you have any doubts about this place, I say go for it and take the chance to visit because you will not regret it. If your hair is dull and lifeless then you need to visit this salon. I love Salon Couvie! The space is very comfortable and relaxing. The staff is friendly and very skilled. Rachel is my stylist, and she has always paid careful attention to my wishes when I know what I want. She is also able to steer me in the right direction when I'm not sure, for cut or color. I love the scalp massages, the occasional hand massage while I'm 'processing', and makeup touch up on the way out! All the stylists get along great and work together to give their clients a great experience. I would try any stylist in the salon if Rachel wasn't available; I've seen clients of every one looking great! read more

I've been going to Salon Couvie for several years and always get compliments on my hair. I think they're very courteous, friendly, and very professional. I enjoy my experience so much that I send my husband and my child there as well. I'm not sure what a previous post had done, but I know that I've never been overcharged there. I find that the quality of the services I receive are way more valuable than the amount they charge. In fact, I've gone to places more expensive and haven't received as much attention as I do at Salon Couvie. read more

Recently tried out Salon Couvie for a hair cut. While I was there, I chatted with the stylist about an all-over color. The stylist said it would be $55. I said that was great and scheduled the color with the same stylist for the next week. I went back for my color. Took forever to do, but it did come out well. I went to pay and was told the total was $78, not $55. I asked why and was told, after the fact, the extra $ was a blow-dry fee. Seriously? I complained to the manager, via email. She wasn't sympathetic, by any means. She wouldn't acknowledge that they may have screwed up. Her tone was defensive and not at all what you would expect from a blossoming Aveda salon that wants to build a repeat client list. FYI, I checked out their website. There is zero mention of this extra fee for a blow-dry with a color. If you have a love for Aveda salons, as I do, go to Paris Parker. They are a first-class organization and ALWAYS up front about their prices. read more

I haven't gotten a decent haircut in a long time. I always end up not liking what the stylist did because they don't listen, and they take too much off so I end up avoiding getting my hair cut at all. That being said, for the first time ever I scheduled a follow-up after getting my haircut today. I saw Hillary, she listened to everything I said, she only trimmed the minimum needed, and framed my face nicely. I'm very happy with my hair, and I'm looking forward to going back. I also noticed someone else getting their hair styled after a cut by someone else, it looked very pretty. I think there may be consistent positive results at this place. read more

Called and made in appointment of wednesday, said they could get me in on Saturday which is exactly what I wanted. I had previously went to a different salon & had my hair all messed up. My appointment was with Lynn, let me start of by saying she is fantastic. Lynn is super friendly & understood exactly what I wanted. She cut my hair to perfection it hasn't looked that good in a while. She even took the time to blowdry & flatiron so I could go about my day & not have to go home! Disappointing experience! I got a referral from a co worker that this was the salon to go to but my experiences here did not match up. Walking in, I was greeted by someone behind the counter with a baby in her arms. Her husband & the babys gear were in the sitting area of the lobby, which gave me nowhere to sit. So I walked around the salon until the stylist was ready for me-wondering if this is a day care center or a beauty salon?! My services went fine but as I was a new customer, I was not offered the $10.00 off my service for new customers, when I checked out. It was not until I left & looked at Salon Couvie's website that I realized that I should have been offered $10.00 off. Then I was sent an email as a verified customer to critique my visit there & I completed it, giving my experience 3 stars. A few days later, I was upset to learn that my rating & commentary had been removed! This makes me wonder if Salon Couvie only appears to have good ratings as any recent & less than positive feedback is removed. read more

Best salon! All of the girls are warm and welcoming. I have been going here for 3 years and have always walked out happy. Great place.

Rachel is a great colorist and very sweet! I was shocked, I am dark brown and she did not need to use a toner nor heat. Very very happy :)
