My girlfriend and I took a chance on Salon Diva and came away very disappointed. I was scheduled for a hair consult. The hairdresser was behind and basically worked on my girlfriend while asking questions of me and what I wanted. It was inappropriate and unprofessional to say the least. I have been coming here for at least a year now and I see Jen. She does a great job! It took a couple cuts, but when I was ready to finally go for a Pixie cut after having long hair for 15+ years, Jen was very supportive and excited for me and for this new change. She's always attentive, friendly and makes sure that I'm happy with the cut I get. At times when I've asked for a little more off here or there, she's always happy to oblige because she wants me to walk away loving it. The other ladies are always very pleasant and the decor in the salon is beautiful. As a wife and Mom who is always on the run, I feel like I can come here, relax and pamper myself with a great haircut. I consider it a necessary part of my self-care routine. read more

I had been going to Attitudes for many years when it became Salon Diva. I was very impressed my how smooth the transition was. They remodeled and it's a beautiful, modern salon. All the staff are very kind, always asking if I want anything to drink, taking my coat in the winter, and greeting me as soon as I arrive. My stylist Amanda is the best! She really cares for her customers and treats you like a friend. Her work is excellent and I get many compliments about it. All in all an excellent salon, worth the money. read more

I had a terrible experience at salon diva in Valpo the girl DID NOT EVEN WASH MY HAIR! She flat ironed my dirty hair and then they tried to charge me 120!$ never going there AGAIN!!!! And they only wanted to give me a 20$ gift card after I complained I would never recommend I was treated horrible I wouldn't wish this on ANYONE! Sam was my hair dresser. read more

The best place for color; all of the girls really understand the science behind it. Not any one can do color great. I would rather put zero stars. Judgmental salon. I've tried 5 times to make an appointment for a full set of eyelashes. Several of the girls are friends with a former coworker of mine and because of their gossip would not book me an appointment. I am a professional myself and own a business. I really gave them the benefit of doubt but after my fifth time trying and someone changing the phone on me twice and then telling me nothing was available for me I was really upset. Just because you hear things about people from somewhere where they use to work doesn't mean it's true and you shouldn't judge a client or not service them because of some drama you heard from someone else. Very unprofessional. If that is the case you should look into every single client you service not just based on their name or because they are not friends with your friends. This salon is on some clicky bullshit, petty and childish not to mention stupid for not wanting to make money on a full set of lash extensions. I would not recommend this salon unless you want to feel u comfortable want to be judged or have shit talked about you. read more

Salon DIva.. 5 Stars! I have been a client at Salon Diva since it opened 10ish years ago. The salon is beautiful upbeat and very relaxing place. The stylists are all professional, caring, in-depth knowledge of hair and hair products. Yesterday we visited the new "Day Spa"! It was the best massage ever! I am looking forward to a return visit for a facial and pedicure. (I was surprised to see that they also accommodate for a doubles massage.) So after a half dozen years with my old stylist, I needed a change. Searched the phone book, and chose Salon Diva. I'm so glad I did! Upon entering the salon, I was greeted by the extremely courteous receptionists at the front desk. Their sincere warmth was a breath of fresh air as they took my coat and offered me a beverage. My new stylist MC appeared a short time later -- right on time for my appointment I might add. Instead of the norm of immediately shampooing me at the start, she surprised me by sitting me down for a consult. Asked me what I wanted her to do with my hair. She intently listened, and offered her expert advise... one suggestion being a first in my life hair coloring to cover my slight greys. Well, how was my haircut experience? My stylist was simply amazing. Her friendly demeanor made me feel at ease. I quickly forgot my initial fears of the newness of it all. Her artistic skill with the scissors was not unlike that of a modern day Picasso. And my haircut and color? After one week, I can still look in the mirror and say "Wow! Absolutely the worst haircut I've ever had! I am a cosmetologist and had heard good things about them. The girl left 2 inch sections of hair beside 5 inch sections. It was a total MESS! I called and they wanted to try to fix it but I did not want it fixed by them. They offered a refund and are supposed to mail it to me. For these stylists charging 30-40 dollars a haircut they need more education ! I've got better haircuts from cosmetology students! Do not go to to this salon if u want a decent haircut!! read more

I got eyelash extensions last Monday....A WEEK AGO....and they have almost all fallen off, along with some of my real lashes of course. When I was getting them done, the girl did not ask me any questions before we started about how I wanted them to look, she didn't really explain anything she was doing...she just started. So I asked a million questions just so I kinda felt a little more comfortable during the whole thing and wasn't completely clueless. The only directions for aftercare that she gave me were to not get them wet for 24 hours, to brush them in the morning and at night, and not to touch them as much as possible. When she was done I was so in love with them, I was ecstatic! As soon as I left I noticed a couple fell out, which I thought was normal because maybe a few didn't have enough glue or they were stuck to another one...I don't know. But I didn't think much of it. Then the next couple of days I noticed more falling off...and fast forward to today...I have about 10 extensions left on each eye. I won't lie, I put mascara on ONE TIME but I was very careful to take it off so that no lashes came out...but they were coming out way before that anyways so at that point I did not even care. I paid $180 (plus a $30 tip) for a not so great first experience with eyelash extensions. I'm going somewhere else to get them redone because honestly I don't even want to waste my time going back just to worry that the same thing will happen. read more
