I saw megan, first time. She is wonderful, as a stylist and a person. It was time for a change, I cut my hair off. She listened to my concerns and wants. I showed her photos. She is a terrific colorist. She helped me decide on color based on skin tone. The cut came out perfect. Nice and light and soft and swingy. All the stylist seemed nice. The shop is beautiful. They have the best equipment. The washing stations has these amazing bowls that have a cushion in them to rest your head. I highly recommend megan. I went to Salon Jaylee today for a Mani/Pedi for a girls day out with my mom. It ended up being the best time at a salon/spa i've ever had. I was given a gift certificate from out of town relatives that researched salons in The Villages & purchased the gift certificate based on reviews. my experience was wonderful with Amanda for my gel mani & regular spa pedicure. However, after about 5 days the gel manicure began to separate from my nails & one nail broke. I had company so it was 10 days after my appointment when I went back to see if they would fix the nails peeling. The manager said no as "gels only last 10-14 days"...?? Why bother with gels vs regular polish?? I have had my gels last up to a month! I would not waste my money again going to Salon Jaylee...very disappointing. read more

I went last year to get my hair cut and colored. I asked for grey/white highlights and I came out with BRIGHT yellow hair and it was fried. No stylist would touch it for a year until it was healthy. This week I went back and tried a different stylist. Russell was the absolute best!! He gave me the best cut that I've ever had and the color was pretty close to what I wanted. Went there twice, first time was fine and beautician made another appointment with me for herself. When I showed up for that appointment last week, I was told it was her day off and that someone else would be doing my hair if I wanted to have my hair done that day, right before Christmas. I showed this new beautician the pictures I brought and told her exactly what I wanted. She said she knew how to do this cut. Oddly, as we walked to the hair washing station, she made several inappropriate jokes. Then even more unfortunately, she gave me a totally different haircut and then gave me an attitude when I showed her the pictures again. Instead of fixing it, she made it even worse to the point where I just had to leave and have someone else fix it. Long story short, I will never go here again. read more

Wish I could give it less then one star racism at it's finest. Today I picked my son up early from the charter school to go get a hair cut from salon jaylee since we heard so many great things. We arrived and 2 girls at the front desk asked how we could help... I think they thought I was there to get my hair done. But I wasn't I was there to get my mixed sons haircut. To which they informed me they don't cut that "type" of hair and maybe go see a guy Andrew at another store. I had a picture as to how my son wanted his hair and she barely even looked at it. She didn't ask any of the other stylists if they could possibly do it. It was just a no because he was black and they didn't know how to cut black hair. You really need to do better as a company. It's a shame and I will make sure that I spread the word as to the complete disrespect and disregard for my sons "type" of hair read more

I brought my daughter here to get a cut and highlights. The service ended up costing nearly $400. The stylist was pleasant and did a nice job, however, she failed to explain all of the hidden fees. She applied several different toners at $35 each application and did a mini keratin treatment for $50. I had sticker shock when I went to pay! It's a lovely salon and the people were great. However, buyer beware. I felt it was a bit deceptive and sneaky to throw in all the additional treatments and not mention the price tag that went with it. sissy at Salon Jaylee did a horrible job coloring my hair and although the manager made an appointment to correct it, he called the day before the appointment and said he was canceling it because Sissy didn't want to fix it. I've been a customer of hers for 10 years and this is how I was treated. I paid $480 for a cut and color and it was nothing what I asked for. both Sissy and the manager of Salon Jaylee should be ashamed of themselves for the way I was treated. I have attached the before picture, the picture I brought in that I wanted my hair to look like and the picture Sissy took after she colored my hair. Showed up early. They fit me in and I had a wonderful hairdresser. Couldn't ask for a better cut.

12/30/23 I visited the salon for the second time, this time for a color. The stylist put on the root color, then proceeded to cut someone's hair (she was six steps away from me) and, after 45 minutes, had not checked the color. 5 more minutes passed, and another stylist said she would wash out the color. My original The stylist did not know how long my hair took to process, nor did she care. I paid $154. plus tip for a root color and blowout (she dried my hair). I don't mind paying for quality service, but this is going to ruin someone's hair with the lack of interest and trying to cram two customers into one appointment. read more

She always takes the time to ask how I'm doing & any changes I want with my hair. I honestly cannot attest to this place. I am guessing they do nice work, but they wouldn't see me. I own a salon of my own in North Carolina and have allergies to many products. I went in and asked for a shampoo and blow dry and if I could bring my own products, after hearing the receptionist tell a guest on the phone that another client brings her own nail polish. "No. It's against policy!" was what I got. I explained that I am in the industry (have been nearly 60 years), but it was NO! That is not customer service and there is a kinder way to tell a client this and there is no reason to do so in this case. I fully understand the logistics and the liability of using outside stuff, but my products are top quality. It is the best in the industry, honestly, probably better than what they use. On the right you will see Bumble and Bumble Blue hair spray and on the left is Kerastase Blonde Absolute Shampoo. This is the absolute best in the industry, by far. read more
