She insisted on doing some type of braid in my hair. I declined first because braids are not my style but she kept insisting so I finally agreed. Little did I know she insisted so she could charge me more than DOUBLE the cost of the haircut. I went in for a $57 cut and was charged $137! I didn't even like the braid but she took so long to do it all (1.5 hours!) i had to leave and just deal with it at home. I will never go back here and will make sure to warn anyone who is even considering it! Stay away unless you want to be ripped off! UPDATE: Based on the review I left I was contacted by the salon owner who confirmed I had been overcharged, offered me a full refund, and said they have implemented a new policy to ensure this does not happen again. Solid customer service.

I needed a quick color and my usual place couldn't take me, so I thought I'd give them a shot considering they were giving a discount on all over color. From the moment I walked in I knew it was a mistake, they handed me a paper to sign and when I asked more about it they were like "oh it's what happens when you work with chemicals" just very unprofessional. When I went to pay I found out that I had been giving a speciality color without my knowledge, so it was $30 more and I would not be eligible for the discount because of this level of dye. When I brought this to the attention of the manager it was all brushed off. I'll obviously never be returning.

Right uptown Mt.Lebo, plenty of parking on the street and in a nearby parking garage. The salon itself was very clean, and everyone working was very pleasant from the moment I walked through the door. My hairstylist had her mask on, which I really appreciated. My stylist was Lizzie. We had a mini consult when I first arrived to make a game plan for my mop, and she went to work. Again, my hair is blonde and getting highlights/balayage is always "refreshing" but is never a dramatic change for me. I was pleased to know that my Groupon covered balayage, because foils all the way to my scalp aren't my favorite, especially in the winter months! I've had my hair damaged in the past, so I asked Lizzie 3 or 4 times to check my progress (I was annoying, I'm sure) but I'm glad I did. My hair turned out great. The color was beautiful, and felt completely refreshed. I also really liked how Lizzie cut my hair! After checking out Yelp, I see some reviews here aren't the best. I can say that I had a much different experience than the negative reviews here. With blonde hair, I don't see "mistakes" as easily. They temp you on arrival and ask the standard covid questions. My stylist was Kiersten and she was wonderful. Really funny, listened to what I was interested in, and gave great tips. I love my cut, she did an amazing job. The hair color is nice but not quite for me. But that was my fault for not knowing what I wanted in the first place. My blowout was fantastic and left my hair so bouncy and soft. I look forward to returning for another great experience.
