This was my first time going to salon M. Abigail cut my hair, not only did she do a tremendous job. She was extremely sweet and very knowledgeable when it came to hair and hair products. The whole entire staff was friendly from the time I walked in the door until the time I walked out the door. I finally found a salon that I can stick with. Really liked this place and I don't usually rate my hair salons since I'm not usually happy with the cut. I moved from S. Florida to SC and I have curly hair and to find someone to cut it right is very hard. Only 2 ppl cut is right and one stopped in 2020 so its been a challenge to find the right person. Emilie saved the day! She was a true hero! So... I learned a very valuable but expensive lesson today. I 'm a dark brunette and decided to go blonde. At home. From a box. Oh the horror! The stench singed my nose hairs but I suffered through hoping for anything close to color on the box. Um... no. I ended up with orange hair with bright yellow roots and tips. And I have to work tomorrow afternoon! I'm so happy I was able to find a salon that could do color correction on a moment's notice on a Sunday! Emilie was great and corrected everything to a pretty shade of blonde that is the lightest hair color I think I've ever had. My hair is pretty long so I'm sure that played some into the cost but honestly $195 for my length, color correction, blow dry and a trim was honestly a great deal! And pretty much what I expected it to cost. I'll definitely come here first if ever decide to go this light again read more

I have been going to the same stylist for 10 years. After a salon tragedy that caused major breakage resulting in me having to part my hair on the other side just to hide it, it was definitely time for a change. I made an appointment with Claire, who was able to give me the confidence boost I needed after being scared to let anyone touch my hair for months. She took her time, listened and executed what I wanted better than I could even explain it. 3.5 hours and a cut, root shadow, lowlights and a conditioning treatment later, I feel like a new person. Normally I don't leave bad reviews online, but my experience with Salon M was so frustrating that I just have to share. I went to Meredith for a cut and color on 7/14 as I was attending a wedding on 7/20 and wanted my hair to look nice in the photos. I had dyed my hair in June of 2017 and the color had apparently stained my hair. It was obvious that there was still color in my hair, but Meredith didn't ask me about my hair color history or even do a test strand on me before lightening my hair. When I showed her a reference photo of what I wanted, a balayage ombré, she said it was achievable, but it was not until AFTER she was done with my hair that she told me it would take 2 or 3 more sessions to get that look. This was my first time getting my hair professionally colored, so I was nervous, and Meredith assured me the whole time that it would turn out the way I wanted. After Meredith got through with the lightening, my hair was about 5 different colors and patchy all over. Had Meredith asked me about my color history and made me aware of the color taking such a lengthy process, I would not have gotten my hair lightened that day, so that my hair would look decent at the wedding. I paid $200 for the cut and color and was extremely dissatisfied, so I contacted the salon for a refund. I was told the owner, Emilee, would contact me but didn't hear from her for over a week. Emilee offered for me to come in to have her fix my hair along with a refund of my money since she took so long to get back to me. I figured at this point, I might as well give her a chance to re-do my hair. In order to cover up the botched color, she had to dye my hair back to dark brown, so now my hair looks exactly the same as before I went to Salon M but with a few layers. The worst part is Emilee is now going back on her word and will not refund my money and is only offering an in-store credit. So, I essentially paid $200 for a trim (which, by the way, I just discovered that the layers are uneven--the right side of my hair is longer than the left). My question is: why would I want to go back to a salon where the stylists butcher my hair and "fix it" back to what it was before I came to them, then go back on their word after offering me a refund? I would rather just eat the $200 that I wasted and will not be going back to Salon M. read more

I needed a haircut, had to get in early and they were so accommodating, easy to schedule and the ladies were so nice. Meredith was amazing!! She gave me the best 'short' haircut I've ever had, usually I regret cutting my hair off and miss it, but this time I don't, I love it!
