First of all, let me say this was our 2nd time to go here. The first time was more than a year…read moreago, and we had a favorable impression. This time was "interesting", and not exactly as hoped. I called on Tues, at 1:30, and asked for thirty min massages for 2 people, at 7:30. She repeated it, and seemed to understand. At 7:20 we arrived, and she said oh no, I forgot! We said that's ok... and she said who wants to go first? So I sat and waited 30 minutes while my husband went first. During that time, two other guys came in and she stopped each time to come out and greet them (when the door chimed). During my massage the same thing happened. She also said, while giving me a massage, "I sorry I forgot, I was watching tv." Wow- thanks. When we left, I gave her the owed amount, no tip. Because now we had each waited on each other and had several interruptions in each massage. As I walked to the door she said, "Can you give me a little tip?" I said sorry what? She repeated it, and I said, "Um- no cuz of -" and pointed to the clock. She said it's ok, it's ok. I have never had someone ask me for a tip! I usually tip though, at least $5 for a massage, but with all the things going on it... it was not as planned, and not as relaxing as it was hoped to be. I was a little shocked by that, and thought it unprofessional. The good things: they are open late, have good availability (sort of, although obviously she didn't write us down and then tried to accommodate walk-ins). They also do a good job, although there is a lot of pressing and holding, and then 'slapping' at the end of the massage. Not our fav, hubby and I both just prefer more of a kneading of the muscles. Just a few days ago...I go to my main massage place...(close to home, easy, fast) Central Mall ...I get in the chair while the person is talking on the phone (no big deal, right)....massage starts....but the "person" giving the massage was still on the phone...yes, an actual phone call....so, I'm starting to get annoyed after a couple mins of receiving a ONE HANDED massage and listening to the 2 way conversation....I let it go on for another few mins....finally stand up after 5 mins of this DISRESPECTFUL INSANITY....I ask this person when they will be finished on the phone....they reply..."come back in 10 mins".....after years, years of going this place....the one in BMT too...putting up with the good, bad...the changes...the language barrier...I'm ALL DONE....A one handed massage while talking on the phone is just too much LAZY DISRESPECTFULNESS for me...!
