My hair stylist is Carsyn and she is perfect. She actually listens when you express what you like and don't want. She is the sweetest, nicest person and so very talented!! I have thin, fragile hair but she still manages to give me a beautiful touch up to my roots followed by a heavy blonde highlight which I request. She knows how much I like blond hair and she does beautiful work! The salon itself is very nice with actual, comfortable sinks, which was a pleasant surprise. Parking is always available because it is a big, multi-store mall. Thank you Carsyn for making me love my hair again!! read more

She told me about Salon Milan. Her hair stylist's name was Sydney. Then I called. It took me awhile to get an appointment with Sydney. It was well worth the wait. She is fantastic. My hair cut and color are the best it ever looked. Now I go regularly and book my appointments 3 months ahead a time to make sure I have an appt with Sydney. I think she is a top-notch hairstylist that I trust. She listens and suggests options if needed. The place is immaculate, and the people are "down to earth." Carmen, the receptionist is wonderful. I've been going to Salon Milan for years, but never thought about writing a review. The Salon is squeaky-clean with a chic, industrial-style decor; and, super-comfy, reclining shampoo chairs where they give an incredibly relaxing "shampoo massage". The entire staff is friendly & down-to-earth (no Divas here!). I've had make-up (airbrush & drama-eyes) done by co-owner Krystal; a chic up-do created by Little Jen; and the absolute best cuts by Sydney (who's also been buzzing my man every month for over 2 years!) Yesterday, I got a color & cut by Syd - both turned out A-MAZING! I showed her an iPad pic of the color (a gorg burgundy-red) & she nailed it....and she did both with me in a wheelchair, which couldn't have been easy considering how tall she is - very accommodating! read more

I'm giving them 2 stars because they did their best to fix my hair. I called in days before asking for someone who was experienced with blonde balayage (I've had 5 before this). They gave me a junior stylist who basically did the opposite of what I asked. What I wanted was to stop dying my hair so blonde because it was killing my hair, and I wanted a nice balayage with few lighter strands to the top so that it grew out nicely. What I got: HIGHLIGHTS and blonder than I've ever been with black roots, and a big untouched area in the back of my head. After being convinced that it looked great I left. Immediately after leaving, I took a picture of the back of my head, and went right back in to show her the giant spot left untouched. She then convinced me that my picture was taken in "weird lighting" and took me out front to take better pictures. She had me lean my head back so the dark spot would be covered. I came in the next day after my Aunt, a hair stylist, called it a "bad highlight." What they told me was that the best they could do was put a toner in it, which was semi permanent (only lasting 6 weeks) to help the dark roots blend better. They did offer to professionally tone my hair again later, but unfortunately I live out of state. The stylist on multiple accounts tried to convince me that she did not mess up, even telling me that my dark roots would all grow at different rates and it would one day grow into the hair I originally asked for?? If the stylist was more honest with me upfront I would've been happier. Pictures attached show top, back and side pictures of my hair before they fixed it. read more

I hired Salon Milan to do on site services at my wedding in Atlantic City,NJ. We had 12 people in total getting their hair and makeup done for my wedding. They exceeded my expectations as professionals. Not only did they run on schedule, they even did my grandmother's makeup with her own makeup because that is what she wanted, and did airbrush makeup and hair for all of the bridesmaids, the mothers of the bride and groom, as well as three friends all before the photographer got there. I would 100% hire them again and am planning on going to see them at the end of October when I have a wedding to go to for my makeup. I want to thank all the girls, specifically Jenny Webb, who not only dealt with my two hair trials, and coloring session, as well as dealing with my nervous mother who was impossible to work with at times. :-) All of the girls are beyond talented and the prices are absolutely reasonable compared to competitors. I would say choose them every time, because I know I will. When I went to the salon to get my hair colored, they were very attentive, had very comfortable sinks, and a very talented assistant who massaged my head. Definitely try this place out and/or hire them for an event. They are absolutely fabulous. read more

The salon is great. Its super clean and everyone from the owners to the receptionist are super nice. My husbands family has been going here for years and under their recommendations I used the girls for onsite hair and makeup for my wedding in Parsippany. They did the hair and makeup for me, both the mothers and my bridesmaid. They did everything in a timely manner for both the wedding and the reception and did a wonderful job. After moving to toms river after the wedding I only trust these girls do my hair (cut or style). Definitely recommend them for hair and makeup for events. read more

Two of my friends from work got their hair cut and had highlights put in and they looked so great I finally decided that I would get a long overdue haircut which I had been putting off way too long. I asked my friends where they got their hair done and they said Salon Milan in Brick. I made my appointment and was so excited because they got me in only a few days later on a Saturday . I walked into Salon Milan nervous because I was still deciding if dying my hair brown with my current red head and fair skin would be too much or just the change I was needing. So I walked in early and was greeted with a warm smile by Carman who is really nice and really makes it a great place to be even from the minute you walk in to the time you leave! After I explained I was early she said no problem and within 5 mins I was greeted by another friendly smile from Liz who is as beautiful on the inside as she is on the out. Heres the thing when the person doing your hair looks so great it is easier to trust them with your hair. From the moment I sat down I had this really great feeling. Everyone is soo nice and everyone is smiling and laid back its like hanging with your girls with great attitudes, style and hair! I told Liz I was thinking about going brown but wasn't really sure. I showed her a pic of cut and style I wanted and told her I wanted to donate my hair. She made me feel so good about the pic I showed, reassured me how great it would look and suggested instead of brown we could do blonde highlights because my skin is so fair and Summer is coming soon and also for a extra kick adding copper toned highlights to change it up. She was soo nice so I said yea def bc I could tell she knew her stuff. The ladies took a before pic, Liz cut it and then did highlights and oh my God Liz and I were both soo excited to see how it came out and only word That everyone kept saying is beautiful and I completely agree. Liz spent alot of her time shaping my hair and styling it to make it perfect and she really went out of her way to make me feel good and I really appreciate it! I hired Salon Milan to do my wedding. The outcome was just ok. The trails I went for did not turn out well but in hopes to have it well on my wedding day I continued to use their services. We started at 9am in the morning in order for us all to be ready by the proper time. Hair and make up was to be done for all my bridesmaids and parents. I brought my own makeup because I was not satisfied with the kind that they used on me for the trail. They used individual lashes on me and when I look at my pictures I look like I have uneven lashes with the lengths of them. You can see the difference in all my pictures. When I got up from the chair from getting my hair done it looked awesome! 15 mins later is was flat and looked like I slept on it. The curls didn't last at all. As I was getting put into my dress they had to re-curl my hair (which just come completely out after I walked out of the room) My bridesmaids hair did the same thing. So we all have practically straight hair for the wedding which was not desirable. I am not sure what cause this problem. All hair had to be re-curled and it caused delays on top of other delays. Starting early really did not play it's part in this wedding. The hair was done nicely and she put my extensions in good. The only problem was that it didn't stay at all. read more
