I've actually been a bridesmaid in a few weddings they have done and their knowledge on all make up and updos is outstanding. You couldn't find a better more attentive salon. The Best! Hands down the best hair color and haircut I've gotten since moving to the Jersey shore 12 years ago . I've been going here for years because my mom is a lil bougie and brought her kids to salons instead of barbers. Am I complaining? HELL NO! My girl Jackie has been giving me fresh cuts and I've never had any issues. In fact, I look forward to my haircuts because she's hilarious and knows my entire family's history so I actually have stuff to talk about. That's pretty rare for a male getting a haircut at a salon. It's a little pricey for a men's cut but the head massage they give you during your wash?? I'd sell my organs on the black market to have that done every day! Wrapping up here... You need a blow out - go to Jackie. You need a men's short cut - go to Jackie. You need a good meal - don't come here it's a salon... but it is the best salon on the Jersey shore. read more

I have been a client of Jackie's for almost 8 years now or more. The owners of the salon worked together at a different place and like a previous reviewer said, they really did bring the best of the best with them! There is no one else I trust with my cut and color. I moved up north and I still drive the 1.5 hours because it is worth it. Everyone here is extremely professional and friendly, and I always feel at home. I have gotten cuts other places, but most stylists don't listen to what you say or what you want and they just do what they think you need. Jackie always lets me know what she is going to do before she does it, although most of the time I walk in there and say do whatever because I trust her that much. After Sandy wiped out my apartment, the owner and Jackie hooked me up. In my opinion that just shows how gracious and caring they really are here. I am definitely a customer for life. read more

I followed my stylist here from her previous salon. This place is a little less fancy-schmacy than where she was before, but the prices are little less too. For me, that's a win! I still get the same great services (cut, color) from her and have a little extra to spend. While I don't trust just anyone to cut my hair, I'm confident with anyone here coloring or styling my hair. They've got my formula written down, so I know I'm gonna get the right shade of red no matter who is applying the color. Even when I've had one not-so-great experience, my stylist and the reception staff were friendly and eager to get me back in quickly, address my issues and resolve them to my satisfcation. It's a bit of a haul for me, but it took me a good 7 years to find a stylist whom I trust enough to go in and say "let's have fun!" and come out with a new look that is flattering to me. read more

Simply the best there is! If you're looking for for a swanky, cool salon without ANY of the attitude but all the talent and skill you'd expect - THIS is the place. From the warm and inviting 'hello's' from the girls behind the desk, to the ridiculously amazing scalp massage - I have never felt more welcome at a hair salon. I was desperate for a cut and tired of my current salons lack of flexibility. I have a head full of curly, somewhat course hair and was looking to try a Quidad cut. My hair had lost it's spark and curl so I was hoping to revitalize my tired look. This is one of the few salons in all of NJ that has the certified expert to do that. I booked with Laura one week out on a super convenient Sunday (Who has hours on Sunday?! how great is that?!) My hair was PERFECT - exactly what I wanted - Curls for DAYS that I haven't seen in years and I didn't have to 'fuss' with it after. (That rarely happens, as we all know). I was so impressed that I booked a color with Laura on the spot. I had the same warm and wonderful greeting when I returned - and the same expert scalp massage. As for my stylist -- Laura is simply incredible. Her charm and personality was genuine (none of that fake, syrupy BS you sometimes get with nicer salons). A true delight. And MAAAAN can she do hair. A perfect shade of blonde for me - exactly what I had hoped for. It's perfect. 2 weeks later -- It's STILL perfect - from the color to the cut. I can honestly say I have NEVER been happier with my big blonde curly head of hair. My own little 'hair nirvana' that I can't wait to revisit in 6 to 8 weeks! In an nutshell, the stylist I had didn't seem experienced. I was told she is a higher level stylist. Her name was Renee. My hair smells funky after the root touch-up which was charged as full color. Blowout was $40 because she was level 4. Worst blowout ever. She fried my hair (used very high heat and kept saying some hairs need it) Are you kidding me? I have had really good stylists do my hair with way less heat. Even when she was about to burn my face with scorching heat and I flinched-no reaction. Not even a "Oh. Let me turn it down or something" She was frankly rude and seemed uninterested and kept asking the same questions 10 minutes later. At the end, blowout was amateurish and I had to ask her to flat iron the front as it looked bad. I came in with 20 percent gray hair and left with 10 percent gray hair. No change in hair color. Charge $70! Will not be back due to poor customer service. I would have paid more had the service was professional. Towels were dirty and she used a brush that had hairs from previous customer. Yikes. No hygiene whatsoever. Worst, my hair is in bad condition due to the overheated blowout. One star was for the friendly girl who shampooed my hair. read more

I had to wait to leave a review until my first wash and blow out after my visit because it's very important to me that a stylist really listens to what I ask for and gives me a cut that I can manage on my own after the initial visit. First of all, this was my first visit here. I was made comfortable and at ease as soon as I stepped in the doors. The atmosphere is relaxed but professional, and everyone who spoke to me was friendly and warm. Each member of the staff that I came in contact with asked me if I needed anything -- took my coat, hung my purse, offered me beverages and reading material... Melissa was my stylist, and I can't even express how awesome she was. She LISTENED to every word I said, addressed all of my questions and concerns and was genuinely concerned with making sure that she understood exactly what I wanted -- she asked me multiple questions, which was helpful and put me further at ease, as I have had trouble in the past with thinking I'm being clear about what I want, and ending up with something SO different than I thought I was asking for. I am not a hair stylist. I know how I want my hair to look, but it is often difficult to express to a stylist who doesn't know the right questions to ask. Melissa did know and she took the time to do it. My color came out beautifully and she worked magic with the cut -- she even fixed an issue with my bangs that I had nearly given up hope on. This was the happiest I have been with a cut and color in years. Now, after my first wash and blow out on my own, I am just as happy. The cut is pretty and easy to maintain, and gives my super thin hair tons of body, texture and bounce. I definitely give these guys 5 stars. read more

These ladies are incredible. I have had Tara, Sam, and Danielle style, cut, and color my hair and when you walk into the salon, everyone goes out of their way to make sure you are well taken care of. They pay attention to even the tiniest of details, asking if you would like a glass of water or tea and seeing if there is anything else they can get you. This then translates into them noticing and working with every detail of your hair. Tara does my hair once a week and I barely even have to run my fingers through it when she is done! It lasts the ENTIRE week. In addition to being incredible stylists, they are some of the very best, most genuine, and kind people I know.
