This same therapist was also working part-time as a bartender, and going to nursing school to become an in-home nurse. I was informed by the owner of the practice that she was not requiring any of the staff to be immunized. Since both I and my partner are immunocompromised, our medical teams advised us both that it was not safe for us to go back to this practice, so we did not. Unfortunately, there was no other in-network massage therapy practice that was accredited with my insurance company (Commonwealth Care Alliance) at that time, so we have gone for almost a year without these services. I needed an office that was both vaccinated and handicapped accessible. However, I am pleased to announce that there is now an additional accredited massage therapy facility in Stoughton that accepts Commonwealth Care Alliance! We have our first appointment with them set up for this week, and I will review them after a few visits. :) If you are concerned about vaccination status of your medical providers, you need a handicapped accessible office, and you are a CCA member, you now have another option!

Not sure if that's just the standard Thai massage. The ladies went straight to work and i just say, they are some super strong ladies haha. I was in so much pain from the deep tissue massage that i was sore in my upper back / shoulders and calves for the next 2 days. I guess you can say no pain no gain. Definitely felt better. We did deep tissue & some parts were certainly a little uncomfortable, especially the areas that were tight, but super relieving afterwards. I tried a variety of options and purchased packages for sauna and WBC. I was excited for these self-care packages to help me feel better overall. I had some significant joint and muscle discomfort and I was recommended WBC as a complementary therapy. My sessions with Mike were most excellent. They have six levels. After trying level 1 without feeling much effect, I got permission from my doctor to go to level 5 and 6 to improve the results. I would not have chosen this on my own without the ok from professionals. From the start, Brenda called me "crazy" for wanting to go to higher levels and showed intense pushback, both verbally and thru facial expressions, even though it is safe and I had full clearance. I repeatedly told her in person this is okay for me, but she kept pushing back and made my self-care experience extremely awkward and uncomfortable. Just because she is not brave enough to go to higher levels herself, it is inappropriate and annoying for her to dissuade others from doing so. On a side note, even though I did not have any contraindications, I noticed not all contraindications are listed on their website. For my final session, she refused again, even though I told her so many times in person I have the clearance to do so. Did that not register? I even e-mailed her a copy of the clearance. This became increasingly frustrating and I asked for a partial refund on the session that I chose to not ultimately use. In addition, I had a reiki session with her. While this was mostly uneventful, I picked up a smoky smell from her. I cannot say for sure whether she's a smoker, as I have no idea, but I definitely smelled the smokiness, but didn't feel comfortable asking her directly at the time. I just waited for the session to be over and took a shower when I got home. I did enjoy my sauna sessions at this place, especially the music hook-up in the infrared sauna, although there is no hook-up in the dry sauna. Again, it was a wonderful pleasure to see Mike the many times I did. He is a lovely man, even though Brenda said he made an "error in judgment" in letting me try a higher-level WBC. That is bogus. Mike was incredibly professional and consulted with me with care before every session. I'm glad I tried the higher level with him. Keep up the great work, Mike. I wish you continued success, but I had to be honest in sharing my experience with Brenda when you were away on vacation. You are a kind gentleman.
