I went to this salon because I'm new in town and it's close. Really close. How convenient right? I…read moreneeded a new shellac pedicure. I got there and they had me choose a scent for lotions, which was cool. Then time kept rolling on. As I'm getting worked on the new hairdressers would come in, interrupt conversations without even looking at me or acknowledging anyone was talking. This happened a couple times.
Now, a few months ago I went to a show and a large drag queen in heels stomped on me and cracked my toe. It doesn't hurt anymore. I told her this. It's growing out. I told her it's been 5 months. She still didn't cut or file any nails after this.
When we finally got to the color, they didn't have shellac colors, just a gel clear coat and regular OPI color. After a couple coats she put on WAY too much clear coat and put my toes under the light for 3 minutes. It dried so the outside corners were white. They said I probably had my toes at an angle and it was most likely how I put my toes. Their answer? Let's put more polish on. It happened again. So after a bad attempt at a design with silver polish, they just layered on anther coat of red. After 2 hours of being there, I'm not exaggerating, I told them forget it. I left.
Now, with a good job, I coulda waited another week or two to redo. When I would jog or walk all day at my job, my toe was killing me. It hurt to walk with it!
I just got my nails redid elsewhere. I took a before and after picture. It took the new shop QUITE some time to scrape the old shellac off. I'll be going to the new place now.
