The large ugly Greek statue out front is also weird - someone should accidentally hit it with their car. Inside, they've done a pretty cool job utilizing such an open space - it's broken up into sections where individual stylists have their own waiting/seating areas. The salon has a modern edge and plays an eclectic, yet good blend of music. It's not super fancy but it's also not your local barber shop. I quickly learned that "Joey" was not in fact a woman, not that it mattered, but I do prefer female stylists. I was duped by a friend so that I would try something new. He was friendly, not overly talkative like some hair dressers can be and turned my misshapen hair into something fairly stylish. He did a thorough job at the shampoo station and took his time to cut my hair. The best part was that a wash and cut was only $15. You can't beat that with a bat! They do take credit cards which I prefer over cash. He also took me as a walk in, which I really appreciated. So yes, Joey worked a little magic on my hair and I would probably let him cut it again. I purchased a Groupon for eyelash extensions. I would have written a review on Groupon, but the…read moretechnician honored the Groupon deal by having me make the purchase through her directly. Anyway, I should have known that it was a bad mistake when I arrived. The salon is beautiful, but there was no bed to lay down for the technician to do my extensions. Instead, I was asked to sit at the washing chair for 1 1/2 hours while she applies the extensions on me. It was uncomfortable and unbearable. I've had my eyelashes done before-- all on a bed. Doing it on a washing chair was painful for my neck. It would have been nice to know this beforehand. In addition, my eyelash extensions started to fall off on the second day. It's been a week and 3 days now since I got my extensions, and more than half has fallen off. They're supposed to last for 4-6 weeks. Maybe it was because she did it in 1 1/2 hour, when it usually takes 2 hours? Maybe she was inexperienced? I don't know. I just know that it wasn't because of me. Like I said, I have gotten my eyelashes done plenty of times before, so I know how to take care of them. I know not to get it wet within the first 24 hours. I know not to go to a sauna within the first 48 hours. I know not to put any kind of makeup on or near my eyelashes. I know to only use oil-free eye makeup remover. I know not to pull them out or play with them. It's very unfortunate that I have to write this review, because the technician was really kind. I will not be returning for her services.

I had been going to Affinity Salon for probably 2 yrs! The stylist I saw there ALWAYS had his phone…read moreon him! He would actually answer it if it was his friends, while doing my hair! It was always a process to get him to text me back for an appointment! Then it got to the point that he ignored me completely! I have done nothing but be kind to this man! So I have no idea why he doesn't want to do my hair! I let time go by, and messaged him again! Still NOTHING, or he would say let me get back to you, which NEVER HAPPENED! So I would message him AGAIN... saying "PLEASE DON'T FORGET ABOUT ME"! Never to be heard from again! I tried again today...YEP, no response whatsoever. With me even asking is there a reason he doesn't want to do my hair? So here we are! I normally wouldn't do this, but it is making the entire SALON look bad! I would give zero stars if I could! As a business owner myself. I would NEVER treat my customers like this! It's unacceptable, and I would NOT RECOMMEND ANYONE to this salon! I have every single text message between us from jump, and have no problem proving how BLATANTLY RUDE THIS MAN IS!!! My advice... STAY AWAY!!!
