Threading took all of 45 seconds. My eyebrows are completely uneven and extremely thin now...my heart hurts. On top of this there's little stragglers left all around. So very disappointed. To top it off I gave a $20 and was then very loudly asked "Is the rest a tip or did you want change." Uh.....way to pressure people into leaving a fifty percent tip. I went because of all the good reviews I saw on here. I walked in and they immediately sat me down. An older woman walked over with a string and got to work. She didn't ask me what shape I wanted or anything. My eyebrows were pretty big because I had been growing them out so I could get the Instagram type eyebrow. When she was done I went to see and they were pencil thin!! They were straight too and uneven. Came here with my friend who is a regular here. There is parking in the front and I didn't have any difficulty findin a parking spot. My eyebrows were a complete mess so I was definitely over due. We both went in for threading which cost about $10. The salon seemed very clean and the owner was very nice and offered us water after we paid. The woman who threaded my eyebrows was very quick and efficient. I was probably in the chair for 60-90 seconds and my eyebrows were trimmed and threaded perfectly. I have been journeying down to Panache since 1998. I have made my way there from Coventry, then Massachusetts, NYC, NJ and California - Being sure to stop in every time I came home to Rhode Island. I've been all over the United states and Europe trying to find something that would halfway compete with Panache and there isn't anything close. I love this place! It is a walk-in service but even though they are super busy...there is rarely a wait. They have plenty of ladies working at one time so you're pretty much guaranteed to be in and out in 15 mins or less. Really quick service! I've come here once before and had a meh experience I.e. The brows were just cleaned, a shape wasn't given. Today, i decided to give Salon Panache a second chance and boy am I glad I did! Kelly was not only quick and efficient, but she did an excellent job in shaping my eyebrows! I knocked off one star because there were still some sparse hairs--though I was able to tweeze them at home. I used to be a loyal Salon Panache customer, until my stylist, Aneta (or is it Aneda?), went on maternity leave and never returned. I tried out a few of the other girls that worked there, but nobody was as good as Aneta. I found the owner's wife to be slightly rude and she did a horrible job on my brows. Take this review with a grain of salt because I am passionate about eyebrows- yes, passionate. Everyone knows brows are in. Brows shape the face. Brows are IMPORTANT, and I think everyone can agree they are very easy to mess up. I've been getting threaded since I was 16 at random salons or kiosks. My skin is too sensitive for wax, and I just find it icky. Threading is extremely hygienic and relatively painless. I will never go anywhere else again. Salon Panache is the pinnacle of threading at an affordable price. They do all parts of the face. As far as basics it's $10 for eyebrows $7 for upper lip (they could easily charge double considering this kind of quality cannot be matched in the 401). I've been growing out my brows for close to 6 months now and Rekha keeps them maintained to perfection without thinning them out. I've never had such a custom threading experience. Usually at other threading places they plop you down in a chair and go at it without asking your preferences- thinner? simple clean up? just the middle? Not at Salon Panache. They ask what you're looking to get out of your threading experience and that is extremely appreciated. Also a huge plus, I've never had to wait! They always have 5+ people on staff which is great considering it's primarily a walk-in service. Under 10 minutes in and out and you walk out a new person. The owner who runs the front desk is professional, sweet and always offers you a bottle of water while you're paying. You cannot get this kind of quality and consistency anywhere else in the state it is simply the best. Cash only! Ask for a frequent customer card and buy 10 threads get 1 free! This is the only place I will get threading. I have gone to other places and tried other salons but this is the only place where no matter who I ask for, I get amazing eyebrows for a cheap price! First time here. Saw it rated well on yelp, so I gave it a try. Came in 10 minutes before closing and they were more than accommodating and friendly, despite me arriving so late! Immediately I was told to head back and see Kelly. I had asked for my eyebrows to be done, expecting wax, but was pleasantly surprised to have my first threading experience. It was amazing! Quick and not painful at all. And no irritating redness or stickiness afterwards which is amazing :) Kelly suggesting I get my lip done too, which I'm happy she mentioned. I definitely needed it. It was a little more sensitive than the eyebrow area, but it wasn't too painful at all. Overall, a GREAT experience. I will absolutely be back. I was on my way to the beach in Newport (from VT) and I decided to give Salon Panache a try. I have to say that this is the best eyebrow threading I have ever received. I've had a threader (in Manchester, NH) make my brows look good, but kind of round for my taste. I then proceeded to break out in the brow area the following week. I now go to a woman in Westborough, Mass who does a great job, but one of the threaders there have a tendency to go too thin for my taste. The threader at Salon Panache was fast, efficient, polite, and SPOT ON. I told her when I got in the chair to please leave my brows on the thick side. When she was done my brows were arched perfectly. They were the perfect thickness. I was so, so pleased! 17 dollars is not bad for threading of brows and upper lip at all (Boston area threaders are ridiculously overpriced.....maybe it's because of overhead costs?). When I lived in the South my threader charged 17 dollars for brows and upper lip (without gratuity). The woman in Westborough, MA (Shalini's) offers threading of both brows and upper lip for 10 dollars (without gratuity), and the woman in Manchester, NH (Turning Heads) offers threading of the brows only for 14 dollars (without gratuity). If I lived closer, I would go to Salon Panache on a regular basis, as much as I love the price of Shalini's in Westborough. The only reason I didn't give this salon 5 stars is because of parking (it was a rainy, rainy Saturday and parking was hard to find. I circled the block until someone left) and the location of the salon (kind of in a not ideal area of Cranston from what I could tell, but I'm sure this is why they are able to offer affordable prices so this did not have a huge bearing on my decision to give 4 stars). One weird thing I experienced is the threader did not apply any brow gel after the threading. In fact, she didn't even bother to brush any of the hair she pulled out of my brows off my face. This is a minor detail, but I've had both of these things done for me at previous threading sessions. They only do threading and walk ins are more than welcome! Other than a few minor issues, this salon is providing a great service. I wish I could have taken one of the threaders north to Vermont with me! They have a great website with nice testimonials/photos of customer results. read more

I always had my eyebrows waxed and would have an allergic reaction a few hours later so I decided to give threading a try. I leave a few minutes from Salon Panache and knew that it had good reviews. I walked in and the place was packed, however when I told them that it was my first time they sent me to Kelly, zero wait! She was all business, if you want chatting, that's not your place! Kelly took a couple of minutes and it was all done. It does hurt a little more more that waxing but not that much. My face got extremely red but once I got home and put some ice, it went away. It cost me $10 and I gave her a $3 tip (she did not seem very happy about that. I think everybody leaves a $5). My eyebrows look great and I will be going back! read more
